Recently called and visited multiple times with a sick cat that I ended up having to put down. Every single member of the staff was kind, professional, and compassionate. Incredibly grateful for that especially during such a tough time

The wait is long, but every second is worth it. Doctors are extremely thorough and put a solid plan in place for your pet when they need it the most. The staff here is incredibly helpful and there was great communication during our entire visit.

This would be a 5 star review as the doctor whom my dog saw was very helpful and very caring about my dogs needs. I wish I could give this hospital two reviews because I would give the vets 100% across the board. The reason for my 2 star review is for the terrible receptionist. I had called this morning in need of some emergency help. This would have been my second time at this hospital. My dog has a minor soft tissue tear in her knee which as you can imagine, leaves her in pain and swelling around the area. I called asking for some emergency help and/or a refill on her medications to at least keep her out of pain. The very rude receptionist was not only nasty, but also extremely sort tempered and could care less that my dog needed help and quickly. She explained in a rude way that she didn't know when our vet would be back in the office and I simply was not able to get the care my dog needed let alone her medications. I could however make another appointment and wait my turn. Once again, we needed emergency help. She didn't care one bit about my dogs needs. I told the receptionist, because her lack of care my dog is left suffering with no help. Let me remind you that we have already established a relationship with the doctor we saw, but that didn't matter. My dog and I are still left in the dust (even though we had been a patient there no more than 2 weeks ago) with no help of any kind. Her last response was I need to go find a vet. When a patient needs emergency help that's the last thing you want to hear. This is why I came to them in the first place. We needed emergency help for the pain and swelling. As I stated this review excludes the doctors who work there. Their terrible and uncaring receptionist should not be allowed to work there let alone speak to patients in desperate need of help. I'm very disappointed by the terrible quality of people who work there.

I would like to thank the staff here for their exemplary behavior. I will definitely return to this location in the case of a future emergency. I arrived with my dog after the dog had eaten rodenticide. I was in a panic and every staff member there treated me with respect and understanding. Dr. Mueller was my veterinarian. She was willing to listen to my concerns as the owner and did not dismiss me out of hand. She explained her diagnosis completely and made certain that I understood every aspect of treatment. I would ask for her again in a heartbeat.

I'll never go back to this place. Quakertown Emergency clinic cares about animals and will actually help your pet.

On Thanksgiving Day 2021, we had a senior cat wake up in very bad shape. Valley Central is not our vet but was recommended as an emergency service. We called them and they got us in right away. All of the staff were caring, professional did everything they could to help our pet. We had to make a difficult decision that day and the staff explained everything to us so we could make the best decision for our pet. I would highly recommend Valley Central and I sincerely thank the doctors and staff for giving up a family holiday to help pet owners in their time of need.

I cannot say enough things about this vet! We unfortunately had to make the difficult decision to put our 7 month cat down last week. He came in as an emergency with difficulty breathing. Immediately I could tell the staff was worried and were taking my concerns seriously. About 30 minutes went by and I got a call from the doctor. Doctor Keeter (I believe) she explained everything in detail for me and made sure I knew my options. It was about a 20 minute phone call. An hour later she called and we came to the decision to let Milo pass peacefully. The staff were so understanding and compassionate. Giving us time to say bye and hold our boy. We even received a hand written letter with their deepest condones. It was not an easy decision but made easier with the Valley Central Team. We plan to take our other feline buddy here for his new vet.

I really can't say enough about this hospital and their amazing staff. Our almost 1yr old lab swallowed a sock this past week and quickly became very sick. Our local vet advised us to take him to Valley Central Veterinary immediately. Never having experience with this animal ER that was an hour and a half away, or any animal ER in general, we were extremely scared and upset. From the very first phone call, they were responsive, empathetic, and accommodating. Bruce ended up having to stay a few days, along with having the foreign object surgically removed. They truly made a scary and upsetting experience as reassuring and easy as possible. Each nurse, doctor, receptionist and surgeon we spoke to was personable and took time to explain any information and answer all of our questions, despite their busy schedules. Before & after surgery, Dr. Schwartz took the time to meet any of our needs and continued to go above and beyond. Every phone call I made to check-in was answered and an update was given every step of the way. If you are looking for professional/caring individuals to care for your pet, this is the right choice. Bruce is home on his road to recovery because of the wonderful care he received here. We will continue to be thankful and recommend Valley Central again and again.

Does not take exotic pets. Not everyone has a cat or dog. Some of us have more exotic pets that might need emergency service. We also do NOT want to drive to New Jersey to get it.

If you love your pet, don't bring it to this place, these people will do whatever it takes to get money from you, even at the cost of your pet's life. So please, if you have an emergency with your pets, look for another place where at least they want to help you save your pet. love your pets and don't bring it here

The time that everyone took to explain my dog's condition & treatment options was appreciated. Dr. Ron made sure I understood all of the results & his recommendations for moving forward. My worry subsided & I am very happy with the care received.

When your animals health is in question people feel the need to take advantage of you ... Let me start by saying this... My morning started at 730am I called every vet in my area and there were no surgeons on duty so about 1030 I reached out to Valley Central, they also did not have a surgeon on duty but one on call. I have no other option but to take my pet there and 2 hour drive from my home. When I originally reached out to Valley Central the receptionist first questions to me was do you have a credit card we can have to put on file, there is a 145.00 exam fee due upon arrival. That should have been my first clue that this hospital was only out for the money not the well being of my family member my dog. I was also told that once my dog was examined that a treatment plan would be discussed along with financial responsibility well that never happened because my credit card was on file valley central knew they could do anything they wanted and I would be responsible, oh ya that's because they had me sign paperwork via text before we even arrived. After about six hours sitting in the parking lot yes sitting in the parking lot I had to reach out to them to find out how my dog was. Really 6 hours and I had to be the one to call them regarding her treatment. How does that work at least at the ER for humans the doctors follow up and provide information. After I called in they told me that she would need emergency surgery but still not information about cost they had ever intention to do surgery charge my credit card and not even inform me. I did call back and asked why no one has talked to me about financial responsibility at that point they told me that it could cost $7000 if I didn't ask I would have never know. Where is the treatment plan I was told I was going to get where was the information regarding my family member my dog. They knew I was from 2 hours away and they knew they were able to take advantage of the situation. I request my dog to be released and they did release her and still at that time no paperwork was provided to me regarding cost why would they have to provide me paperwork they have my credit card on file, remember I was force to sign a agreement before I arrived they new it didn't matter they had that agreement signed that make me responsible. I did get an invoice 2 hours later with cost and treatment things I did not even authorize them to do. Remember, they have that agreement I signed they didn't need my consent. (Is this legal) Where was the treatment plan they were to provide me with, they never did, they never even called regarding her health condition, remember I had to call them. If covid is the excuse for poor communication shame on you, that is not an excuse to take advantage of individuals. Lastly, you make us wait in the car for our pets for the safety of your staff.... In my six hours of sitting in my car I witnessed a mom and son walk into your clinic unmasked they were there for about 10 mins and also the UPS driver as well walk into your clinic and was in there for a little while also he also unmasked. There is no reason why no one came to me and provided me a treatment plan a estimate cost information regarding my pet. This is very disappointing knowing how your establishment took advantage of people in desperate situations. People honestly reconsider going to valley central you do have options, because I panicked I am the one who was the victim.

Valley Central Animal Hospital was amazing!! Our dog was referred there for knee surgery after being hit by a car. Dr. DeNardo and all of the staff did a wonderful job caring for him. Everyone we encountered was compassionate, professional, and extremely helpful!! I can't thank them enough!

They said my cat’s paw isn’t broken. An X-ray, pain pills, and $670 later, she is still limping. Can you tell which paw is the one she’s not using? Her paw looks bent and bulging but they said they couldn’t find anything on the X-rays. Pictures were taken 2weeks after.

Valley Central Animal Hospital is amazing! One of our family dogs had to go in for an emergency visit. They saw Lily immediately, were in contact with us as soon as they had an update, and were reasonable financially. For an emergency visit, xrays, thorough lab work up, mild sedation, meds, splint, and sutures it was $1,200. My boxer was seen there by Dr Clifford 8 years ago for cancer. Oliver is now 12 because Dr Clifford gave us a chance (I was a wreck)! I highly recommend this animal hospital for any of your pet’s needs!

My 15 year old dog (who is otherwise very healthy) has been suffering from a painful recurring indolent ulcer in her eye that wasn't responding to 3 1/2 weeks of treatment from my vet. It was recommended that she see a veterinary ophthalmologist, but even with help from my vet for a week we were unable to find anyone to see her for 7 weeks! Finally they called Valley Central for me, and Dr. Peiffer agreed to see my Bella as a "drop off" - I would have to leave her for the day and he would fit her in when he could. I traveled over an hour to get there and was was greeted by very kind staff. I was kept very informed by the ophthalmology nurse as to timing and what would be happening. Dr. Peiffer actually took a break from his surgery to take care of Bella, so my wait time was much less than anticipated. His nurse Jenna filled me in on exactly what was done, and how to continue her care at home - she was so kind and knowledgeable. Dr. Peiffer called me after he was done with his surgery and appointments to explain what he did and his assessment of Bella's eye. We are optimistic about her recovery and praying that her eye heals. I am so very grateful that Valley Central and Dr. Peiffer were so kind, caring and compassionate to fit my Bella in. I would definitely recommend bringing your pets here.

On Labor Day, Sept. 2021, our dog was poisoned. Called Valley Central and were told they could not handle any more emergencies, they had too many animals in the waiting area. Were told 30 were waiting to be treated and DO NOT come in. Undedicated staff on a holiday? Sad day for the animals. We thought Valley Central was a first rate facility. Have used on several occasions.Very disappointed!!

What an absolutely awful place, they are greedy money hungry thieves, threaten not to give you animal care if you don't fork out 1000s of dollars after you already dropped them off and left. DO NOT GO HERE! There are better places! My poor cat came home worse than I left her, whatever they did she is traumatized by.

What a place!..and people to match, thank you!! If you’re in the area and have had to use some emergency vet services…well… this is by far the best. If you live in the Q-town area, just make the extra 15 min drive because Valley was and is far better on all aspects. Pet care when death is on the line is not cheap anywhere. Valley made effort to manage cost without leaving out on care. I’m so happy our primary sent us here in the midst of a flood and power outages. Our kitty would have not mad it long and I am very thankful to valley and the all night crew!

I had an emergency with my dachshund last Sunday, she woke up listless and weak. I called Valley Central and drove there within 30 minutes. They took my dog inside shortly after and began running tests. When they called me, It wasn't good news. Dr Lori Schluth called me and kindly and patiently explained what was happening and encouraged me to go home to discuss the situation with my husband At my request more tests were run and helped make the dreadful decision to euthanize. Such and shocking and sad outcome for us. But what helped us through it is the lovely staff and the kindness shown to us and our beloved little Jenny. They handled her so sweetly, and gave us the time and space to be with her through the end and after. For that I am grateful.

Excellent service from beginning to end. Professional, friendly and caring. We had an appointment at the end of the day and Dr. Fisher, the pathologist stayed late just so we can get the results. Thank you Valley Central!

You took such great care of my dear cat Toots and of his grieving momma. Thank you for every kindness you’ve extended towards me in his loss. I didn’t expect the paw prints, but I will treasure them. The wildflowers will be planted over his grave. I wouldn’t have thought of that, but I’m glad you did. Thank you for being there ????

I’ve been going to valley central since I was young and my parents paid the bills. Now that I have my own doggos, I always trust valley central for emergencies and specialties. Thank you to the amazing staff for taking care of my baby Matteo and nursing him back to health. They clearly laid out pricing, options, results and medications. They even let me know they gave him a blanket since he had to go in alone ????. Don’t question it. If your pet is having an emergency, just take them here! They’ll be in good hands.

They were very dismissive towards my cat's care. Never ran bloodwork when they said they would. Their lack of caring resulted in my cat's condition getting worse and unfortunately he passed because by the time we got him proper care it was too late. Stay far away from here they don't care.

I can't say enough about Valley Central Veterinary Referral Center. Every person that I had contact with was gracious, compassionate and professional. They took excellent care of my dog who was very ill. Doctor Leone and Doctor Ron Hodges were outstanding. They kept me updated every step of the way, and with their excellent care we had a very positive outcome. They are truly a top notch facility!

After my dachshund experienced IVDD ( spinal injury) and could not use his back legs over a weekend and my regular vet could not see him on that Monday I called Valley and they instructed me to bring him in ASAP. I took Dante in and the staff said I could leave because it would take awhile to diagnose the situation. I left and proceeded back to work. Five minutes before I arrived back to work Valley called and said there was nothing they could do and they did not have an MRI machine and Philadelphia was the closest veterinary location that possessed an MRI machine. I drive back all the way back to Valley ( 40 minute drive time and $145 later which is one the the first questions they ask you on the call is “Can I have your credit card number please and this will be $145 “ Valley told me Hope Vet Hospital would see my dog which was 1.5 hour drive to Philly. I arrive at Hope Veterinary Hospital and they inform me that no appointment was set up by Valley and the staff to conduct an MRI was gone for the day. I called Valley and informed them of my dissatisfaction of this situation and was told my the rude office manager “ Barbie” that was my only option and I could go to Penn for help too. My husband and I are both in the health care industry and if any one one ever treated a human patient in this manner it would be considered borderline malpractice. No follow up phone call to check on my pet either. Not impressed with Valley in the least. Stop using the COVID-19 excuse that you cannot deliver the proper veterinary care or have time to be kind.

I can not say enough to personally show my appreciation for Dr. Carter and Dr. Kubat along with the staff.. Our vet referred us to their location to have an emergency ultrasound done on our sweet girl. The staff were very polite and understanding and explained everything to us step by step. They also answered any and all questions. Dr. Carter called and spent time with us going over all results and she was very open and honest about our sweet Roxy. After speaking with Dr. Carter we took some time prior to calling back Dr. Kubat to discuss all options. Again, Dr. Kubat was so kind and patient with us. She was so honest about all of our possibilities. The final outcome may not be what anyone wanted, but they took the best care of Roxy. I am thankful Dr. Kubat let us bring Roxy home to spend the night with her. Thank you all so much for your support and understanding during this difficult time. Nothing was done with our girl prior to our approval and understanding. I highly recommend Valley Central.

My puppy got very sick and my vet couldn't keep her so they referred me to Valley Central. It was my first emergency Ever and I was so scared, but the staff was all so friendly, and after talking to the doctor she really helped put me at ease. They did have to keep her overnight, which is the only thing that upset me, but that was for the good of my pup and not the clinics fault at all, I was having separation anxiety. When I picked my girl up in the morning she looked and felt so much better. I would recommend Valley Central to any of my friends. Lord only knows what could have happened. My Girl is way to important to trust to just anyone!
