I keep giving this place the benefit of the doubt, but every single time I go here, it's an awful experience. I have to allot HOURS of my time for a simple appointment every single time. One instance: I was told to drop our dog off at 8 AM. I arrived 5 minutes late, pulled in the parking lot, and the lights were off and there were two other families waiting outside for staff to arrive. Five minutes later (8:10), they finally show up. It took another half hour, once someone arrived to check in my dog for this appointment. After my dog's exam and dental cleaning, the vet called me to go over everything and asked if I could pick her up at 2 PM. I arrived at 2:10 and she wasn't ready. She wasn't brought out until 2:40. 40 minutes after I was told to pick her up. This is a frequent occurrence at this location. When asked why I had to wait for so long, the tech informed me that they were short-staffed. Then don't book so many appointments for the day. Don't tell someone to drop their dog off at a time and your staff isn't even in yet. Don't tell someone to pick their dog up at a time that they will not be ready. I brought my two very young children with me and it was awful having to wait for so long, especially in a crowded waiting room. Today, I brought our other dog in for a booster. I was told this would be a quick tech visit. I arrived at the scheduled time with the dog and our two kids. We sat in the lobby for 30 minutes before we were even brought back to the exam room. ONE HOUR LATER, I got up and left after waiting for the vet to come back into the room. Mind you, I have two very young kids and was told this would be a "quick" appointment. This location is incredibly disrespectful of their customers' time. They rarely seem interested in the dogs. The associate checking the dogs in barely even acknowledges the dogs. My dog loves attention and they never give it to him. I know that sounds trivial and probably entitled, but I think how an animal hospital greets the animals it sees speaks volumes about how they care for them. I am seriously considering leaving Banfield because of these experiences. I am going to give another location a try, but for those considering this location, please continue looking.

Have had great experiences with Banfield over the years but this location does not deliver. Made an appt while visiting from out of town and was called the day before and asked to arrive 30 minutes early. Long story short, I arrived at the time they requested, and waited over 25 minutes and finally asked them to cancel my appt and leave. So rude to waste peoples time like that, and I was one of many waiting in the lobby. Employees were also very rude and unapologetic about the inconvenience.

I took my dog here for an appointment at 4pm. I arrived at 340ish didn’t get out of there till 530pm. I usually have patients when places are short staffed but this was ridiculous. First they were scared of my dog asking if he bites smh (that came from the doctor itself). I specifically asked them if they were good with pit bulls and was told absolutely. I was sent out to weight my own dog myself. I Didn’t understand the machine the receptionist sat there watching me till i asked for help. Then the doctor she didn’t know what to tell me. my dog had a bad rash she wants to change his flea and tick medication didn’t make sense. I had him on this since a pup this was all because she couldn’t find a solution to his problem. Told me she was gonna do something another vet already did. So I told her then she said she was gonna give him fish oil and some kind of spray. I had it I walked up front were the waiting room was over crowded. The vet tech had no clue what she was doing with my dog. I will never go tho this place again I wasted my money for nothing. My dog is still sick and they didn’t help. If you have a pitbull don’t come here they won’t handle them because they r scared. Horrible service. I’m very disappointed because I thought I was going to be able to get this problem he has taken care of.

Today was my first time here and it was a wonderful experience...the nurse Danny from NJ is AWESOME!!! She answered all my questions and went above and beyond in her customer service skill... The doctor Hiraldo was also great and took the time to ensure our pup was good. Danny and Hiraldo were honest and sincere and provided me with all the information I needed plus more. My pup had a great visit too. I recommend them and would suggest to ask for the nurse Danny- she really is great!

Do not bring your dog here. This is the second time we've had a problem at this particular location my Corgi mix had to be muzzled because last time she was here a couple of months ago we weren't able to go inside with her because of the COVID restrictions. My dog was screaming down the hallway and they didn't think it'd be a good idea to call me in to calm the dog down. Absolutely disgusting

I had to put my beautiful baby boy Max down yesterday. He was a shih tzu aged 15 years old. I have been bringing him here since he was a baby. He lived a long life and I had great experiences here. The staff, nurses, and doctors are extraordinary. Thank you so much I appreciate you all! Still grieving but I'll be ok.

Do not trust them. They stole my wife's new bank card info without her knowledge and charging her double without her consent. I will be suing them so stay away from them.

My previous dog years ago went to banfield and now my new pup. The nurses and doctors are great there. They are friendly when I drop her off and when I pick her up. It's been a great experience. They have great health plans for our furry best friends.

Not exactly sure why even bother making an appointment since every time they just make you sit there and wait even when you're on time for your appointment. My appointment that should have just taken a few minutes an hour later I was still waiting for my dog, but I had the pleasure of hearing the receptionist complained about how much issues they're having with online appointments and how they're overbooked which I found extremely unappropriate

They lost my trust when the doctors here became aggressive with my dog and misdiagnosed him. I only wish I had switched vets sooner.

i cant begin to say how nice the people at macarthur road banfield are. i pretty much got to know them all. my last dog was an elderly golden retriever. her name was butter. she had allergy problems so bad she would get ear infections constantly. we dealt with that for years. as she was getting older the infections got worse. we were at banfield all the time. all the staff got to know my dog, butter, very well . she was a special dog, everyone that ever met her loved her. she loved the people at banfield so much she would be so happy to go there. she knew all the people and they would all come to say hi to her as they were passing by. in the end we were pretty much there once a week for medicine application. when i called everybody was so nice, knew who we were and always worked great with us. they love animals, it shows. i had several doctors until we saw dr simpson. she was fantastic. she became our primary physician. she went above and beyond for us so many times. her love and compassion for animals shows greatly. i trusted her completely with my dog, and also my closest friend. she was great with her all the way to the end. i cant say enough about how much of an asset she is to banfield. my dog got very sick and i took her there. they did some tests, found some things but we had to go to the emergency room. i didnt leave till very late. cancer had taken her over, i had to put her down. i was devastated. first thing the next morning i got a call from dr simpson. she had just seen the report and called to say how sorry she was. my wife and i had gotten to know her through the visits. she told me how much she loved my dog. it showed. she even said if we needed anything to call. it meant a lot to us. the compassion was extraordinary. not long after we got a sympathy card from all the staff at banfield. since they all knew her so well they all wrote a little something about her. it meant so much to us. before long we got a new puppy. a lhasa apso. her name is cinnamon. we went right to banfield, took out a puppy plan and we were fortunate to get dr simpson as our physician. ive had dogs all my life and they are the most important thing to me. i completely put my trust in banfield and dr simpson. they care for her with the same professionalism. the only thing that changed is i used to call and tell them its butters dad, now im cinnamons dad. we wont go anywhere else.
