This vet told me that my dog needed $3k surgery, so we went ahead and had it done. Came back for a follow up and the Vet said that it was only getting worse. Offered another $4000 surgery and couldn’t gaurentee a fix. We had scheduled today to have our dog put down. The vet who was going to do the procedure said that our dogs wounds were healing beautifully and that it isn’t necessary to put him down. They also said he should’ve been sent home with anti anflamitory and pain medication and a higher dose of antibiotics.m. Dr Jackson sent us home with no medication other than 7 day course of antibiotics. Nothing to keep my dog still so his wounds could heal. I’m truly embarrassed to have even considered them and am also ashamed I chose them as it was an emergency on a Saturday. I would not recommend this vet to absolutley anyone. I will thank the vet who isn’t affiliated with this crack house of a vet who reached out when they didn’t have to and is now going to make my dog whole again. I have never hoped the worse for anyone in my life. But those involved at bucks VET are the first and hopefully the last I ever will. Shame on you. You should be absolutley ashamed of yourself and the joke you run and call your profession. If anyone finds themselves in a pinch with their dogs and needs a better emergency vet than this joke of an establishment you can reach out to me. I hope this review saves more dogs than this establishment can. I hope their reviews steer you away from this crack house establishment of a vet and steers you away from having a vet walk in half asleep appearing to have just come off a bender. End rant.

My family and I put our beloved dog down today, and the doctor who did this was so very gentle with both our family and dog. The entire process was compassionately and sensitively handled, with time offered the family to be alone with our dog at multiple stages, and our dog was handled so beautifully before, during, and after. We could not have been more impressed with how well this difficult process was handled.

DO NOT BRING YOU PET HERE EVEN IF IT IS DYING. Vet wouldnt let me see my pet for 3 days as she lay dying. When i tried to transfer my pet to another vet hospital, she said, 'I'll just give her to you now and she'll be dead by morning". She said that to me on 2 different days. Vet Dr. Jackson was controlling, rude, disorganized & condescending. Building & equipment were outdated. Over 3 days only saw 1 vet and 2 receptionists over 3 day period and at various times. There is no additional staff just the vet for a place that claims to be a 24 hour emergency vet hospital. She did assist in transferring my dog to Blue Pearl but only after telling me she waa going on vacation and she would be closed. Still made me wait and hour while she typed up tge transder duscharge form for the hospital and still wouldnt let me see mb y dog til she was ready to release her. My dog was euthanized later that day. At Blue Pearl. My experience there was very Traumatic.

I left a piece of my heart with Dr. Jackson this evening. One of the most difficult moments of my life was making the decision to let my senior kitty go. Dr. Jackson took her time evaluating, answering questions and allowing me as much time as I needed to make the necessary decisions. After I made the heartbreaking choice, Dr. Jackson handed her over in a warm, soft blanket for my final goodbye. I could not have asked for a more compassionate ending! She treated my girl like it was her very own. Rest gently my love….

Staff is kind and inviting. But care for bunnies is subpar. If you have a bunny that needs help take the trip to Radnor or Mt.Laurel . I wish I read the reviews before I came. I initially tried to go to Quakertown but their exotics doctor was not in. So I called a few places and ended up here. Turns out they treat bunnies but I wouldn't consider them rabbit savvy. Brought our bunny here after midnight for what I thought was stasis or bloat and an emergency. We were charged $726 up front for a 2 day estimate. This would not have been an issue if the x-rays had been done within that two day span or even if the treatment worked. We were told our bunny needed surgery once x-rays were taken well into their hospital admission and offered to transfer to another hospital with surgery as the only option. Surgery is not easy on bunnies and most do not survive. Instead our bunny stayed overnight from Monday through Saturday as their condition slowly improved and then worsened. I wish they had put the bunny on pain medicine and fluids then sent us to a rabbit savvy vet initially. I felt scammed having the transfer discussion happen so late. The office has only a few staff and the doctor is hands on with the animals which is quite nice but you can tell that they are overwhelmed at times. I didn't receive updates on my pet when they said I would. I felt they did care about my pet but with the exception of the IV fluids they gave my bunny the treatment plan was the same as I had been doing on my own. We were grateful that the doctor worked with us on prices and allowed us to see our Bella frequently. I'm giving 3 stars because the doctor looked them over and essentially watched for 24 hours in what was an emergency situation. It's not the best care plan for a bunny to be in an area with cats meowing and dogs barking . They do much better at home and at the time of admission my pet was said to have had a normal respiratory rate. We eventually took them to a vet with an exotics department for a 2nd opinion and there they immediately told us that the prognosis was poor but we could try a procedure to decompress the gas on our bunnies belly not the surgery we thought was the only option. The new doctor also said that Bellas belly was so distended she didn't think the procedure would go well but had we gone there from the start it would have had better results. In the end, we had to put our baby to sleep for something that we caught early which is completely heartbreaking. I would not recommend this vet for internal issues . I would not recommend them for hail Mary situations either and with bunnies being so sensitive, you need a hail Mary approach. I do thank them for their compassion but I wish I still had my bunny.

I wish I could give this 0 stars. I called this place because my trusted vet is closed, as it is now after hours, and the person I spoke to could have not been more rude or unhelpful. I called to ask how I should handle the situation I am in with my pet and they provided no guidance- they actually told me to stay home and NOT come in because they were too busy to help me. Could not have been more rude or unhelpful. Isn’t the point of an emergency room being open after hours to help those in need during a crisis? Unacceptable really. Its a shame that this is the only place open that Vet offices near us have to recommend.

We called at 10 pm on a Saturday night after finding our 14 year old dog with worms on her bottom. The person who answered the phone (I guess it was a vet) was helpful and seemed to know what they were talking about! Grateful to have a vet service to put us at ease at this late hour, and we'll be taking her there with confidence to see someone in person tomorrow.

Our pet chicken was injured and in very bad shape on a Sunday evening two weeks ago. I called our local emergency vet but they don't provide care to chickens. They referred us to Bucks County Vets and we called to see if they could treat our hen. They gave us an appointment within the hour and we took our hen over, mostly expecting to have to put her down. But Dr. Jackson looked at her and wanted to give her a chance. She cleaned her wounds and agreed to keep her at the hospital. She called us first thing Monday morning to let us know that our hen was rallying, taking food and water. Dr. Jackson was very calm, compassionate, professional and took great care of our hen. She worked with her to get her back on her feet. When we picked up our hen last week, she was able to stand up and she was very clean and well cared for. Dr. Jackson gave us good instructions and start up wound care supplies. We can't thank her enough. Our hen is able to walk again, taking careful steps and on the road to recovery.

We brought our beloved Golden Retriever, Ruby, in for an evaluation at approximately 11:00 PM the night of Friday August 13th, 2021. Ruby had just turned 9 years old a week before and has always been a healthy dog. Ruby began coughing and appeared unsettled and since this was new for her, we decided to bring her into your facility for an evaluation instead of waiting until the next day to see our veterinarian. After reviewing Ruby’s reason for visit and health history with an office assistant, we waited in an examination room to see you. Dr. Jackson arrived disheveled, unkempt, scattered and half asleep. We explained why we were there and answered her few questions. She examined Ruby for 90 seconds. She diagnosed her with kennel cough! My husband and I were both surprised to hear this diagnosis. We explained to her that she is not around other dogs, we do not board her, professionally groom her, or belong to a dog park. She does go to the beach occasionally to swim and run. The last time she had been to the beach was 3 weeks prior to our visit to the clinic. She said she could have picked it up then and there. You She said her exam was normal. We asked her to do a chest x-ray as we were concerned about a possible enlarged heart or something wrong with her lungs. You She said it was not necessary. I asked about blood work, again, she said it was not necessary. She initially prescribed three medications, one being an NSAID, even after I told her assistant and her TWICE that Ruby was already on an NSAID for joint stiffness. We both looked at her strangely and said she should not be on two NSAID’s, her response was, ‘Oh, sorry, I’m exhausted!” She looked exhausted, and it appeared we may have woken her up. We were incredibly surprised that since we were in an emergency clinic that the basic blood work and chest x-ray would have been done. Ruby was discharged with an antibiotic and pain medication. We were reassured that it was not serious and that she would be feeling better in a day or two. We got her home and within 15 minutes she coughed up bright red blood. I immediately called the clinic and after being placed on hold by the office staff was told that it was normal. That sometimes blood vessels break from coughing. We gave Ruby her medications that night and went to bed. Ruby was dead 8 hours later. We woke up to find her lethargic which quickly progressed to her violently and traumatically dying in our arms while bleeding from the mouth. We had to hurry and wake our daughter up so she would be able to hug her and say goodbye. I called the doctor that morning and told her Ruby died, and her response was, “Wow, hmm, sorry.” PLEASE SEE FB FOR FULL REVIEW!!!!!

Your pet deserves better. Please take these reviews seriously. The staff is rude and dismissive. They say they will call with updates and do not. They keep sick pets overnight without a trained staff. No vet, no vet tech. Simply a receptionist, who admitted to having no certification or training. If there was a medical emergency, there would be no one there to help the animal that THEY admitted because it needed medical treatment. I took him to his normal vet after to be checked out, and they took one look at the way they sent him home and said they should be sued. YES, you read that right. They told me my cat was so sick, wasn’t eating or drinking. The moment he home, he begged for food like I’ve never seen before. It was clear they had not been feeding him. Pure neglect. They charged me over $1,000 and have yet to give me any type of diagnosis. Don’t make the same mistakes that myself and other pet owners did.

Horrible place! This is more of an animal prison than hospital. The people who work here are rude and incompetent… I can get over that, but the way they treat the animals is insane! Place needs to be shut down. Please take your pets anywhere else

I had been here before with no issues but was seriously disappointed in my most recent experience. My dog had bloat. Their site said they were open so I drove up, hysterical as my dog was at risk of dying. I was outside constantly ringing the bell, calling them repeatedly to NO answer. 15 minutes wasted when every second is important during a bloat emergency. Thankfully found another place who saved my dogs life. I’ll never go back here ever again.

My dog was having an awful seizure and I must give them credit that they did stabilize him. However the doctors bedside manner was AWFUL and when i asked if my dog was going to be ok her answer was “ i dont know- hes not a car”.

We called for emergency support for a family member’s dog. The person on the phone was rude and dismissive and said that they would not provide advice or help after only a 30-second conversation. We ended up seeking emergency care elsewhere and were very disappointed and upset at this interaction.

I have a cat who needs his prescription renewed and they refuse to answer the phone. Now their voicemail inbox is full. This is unacceptable.

This was my first experience with any type of vet and it was disappointing and stressful. They are unorganized and don't properly communicate with owners about treatment being provided. The doctor wasn't there when I dropped off my bunny even though I called ahead and was told a time to drop him off. I was told I would receive calls with updates and didn't so I made the calls. When my bunny was feeling better, the doctor had an attitude when I asked about picking up my bunny and said "he's not a prisoner come get him anytime". But when I actually wanted to pick him up I was told to wait for a call once discharge paperwork was finished. I waited three hours for a call before driving over. I was told the paperwork wasn't done and they'd call. I returned an hour later and waited in the waiting room for another half hour before I got my bunny back. The bill noted he was given medication, which I was previously not informed about and had to ask what was given. A few days later the bunny still showed the same symptoms and was taken to his regular vet and they called Bucks County Vets to get the treatment information and were told the paperwork wasn't completed yet.

Took my dog in for ongoing diarrhea. The vet told me she was having back problems and gave her pain meds. The next day my dog was having blood in her stool. I rushed to another emergency vet for them to tell me she has inflammation on her intestines. They should have never put her on pain meds with a GI problem she should’ve known that. I’m lucky I was able to catch it early because If I didn’t my dog would’ve been dead. 2 days and $750. She misdiagnosed my animal because she didn’t feel like dealing with it. I’d give 0 stars if there was an option.

Last Saturday at 12:15, I called this clinic because my dog had what I later learned was probably a stroke. There was no vet there. The woman who answered the phone had no idea when the vet would be in. I ended up driving to an emergency clinic much further away and my dog died in the car. While driving, when woman at VETS called to update me - the vet would not be in until 4:00. I asked what kind of emergency clinic has no vet in during their open hours. She responded that they only have one vet. I wasted precious time calling this clinic. My dog might have died anyway, but this experience made it far more stressful and heartbreaking.

I called a few minutes after 8 am on Monday morning, just after closing time, but Dr. Jackson was kind enough to tell me she would wait while I drove my dog in. I guess he had some adrenaline going or something, because he had been crying and yelping at the slightest wrong move since he had been injured, but when we walked in the door you would never have known it. He didn't make a peep while Dr. Jackson examined him, but she took my hand and let me feel his one normal leg then the other and I could feel a little swelling. Then she also told me he had some issues with his lower spine. Were the dogs tussling with each other or did he maybe slip on the snow? I didn't see what happened, but it didn't matter because Dr. Jackson easily diagnosed it, got him some meds to make him feel better and I was very grateful. This is not the first time Bucks County Vets has helped one of my dogs. I've read lots of reviews which mentioned that Bucks County Vets aren't open all the time, but they're open at the time you need them to be. During the day, you can go to your normal vet. Overnight and on the weekends, when your vet is closed, luckily this is the vet you may depend on. Thank you, Dr. Jackson!

Don’t let their website fool you! We kept calling their phone number but got no answer and a message that their voicemail was full. The building looks run down and unkept. Their website says they open at 6pm on Friday’s, but we stood in the lobby until almost 6:30pm ringing the bell (sign on the door says someone is “ALWAYS” there). Could hear dogs barking, but no one was there. No vehicles in the parking lot, several packages that were delivered just sitting on the floor in the lobby, inside lights were dim, computers off, etc. An employee finally pulled into the parking lot and eventually answered the door, just to inform us that they were closed because there was no vet working. Thankfully, our pet was not critically ill or the situation could have been grave. How hard is it to update your voicemail or website to say emergency services are temporarily closed!? Do yourself and your pet a favor and go directly to CARES in Langhorne or BluePearl Emergency Pet Hospital in Levittown. The service was awesome, quick, and the staff was very professional! Most importantly, they were actually there!!

I had a scare with my cat tonight and my regular vet wasn’t available. I had been here before and wasn’t thrilled with them but they were the closest so I took a chance. They were compassionate, took the time to go over everything with me, and overall it was a great experience. Many thanks to them!

Thank you for taking such good care of my rabbit, Dexter. I was so worried when I realized he had GI stasis at 10 pm, but I am lucky that this place was open and I was able to bring him in right away for an emergency visit. We are both happy that he is home now and received good care from the staff. ????????

The staff is friendly and they are upfront with pricing ( fyi there is a pretty hefty charge if they aren't your regular vet). But they are knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. I would go there again. Unfortunately our senior kitty was ready to go. They didn't poke and prod her. They listened to what we wanted and made the horrible process as smooth as they could. Also, someone go adopt poco, he is this absolute love of a cat that they nursed back to health after being hit by a car. We couldn't take him cause the other cat we have at home wouldn't get along with him. Such a sweetie.

My friend and I had just gotten a guinea pig and we had called to ask a simple question that could determine whether he lived or not. When we finished asking the question the rude lady had responded with an attitude because she thought we didn’t know what we were talking about. Please fix your service.
