Petco Reading, Pennsylvania

I have recently started shopping at PetCo as the staff have helped me so much with my dog having puppies. They never seemed disinterested in my questions. Never walked away till I was satisfied with the answer. If they couldn't answer they walked me to the person that could. And stay to learn the knowledge themselves. I so LOVE THIS STORE ???? AND STAFF ❤️

I lovedd shopping here!! Theres so much more than Walmart. They have a huge variety of healthy wet cat food choices. I bought Kitty a harness, a jacket, toys, ear cleaner, and a big litter box.

My daughter wants a frog but we had no experience with such a reptile. The worker there was very helpful at answering our questions. He helped us understand what equipment is needed, what their needs are, and what they eat. My daughter will have to show me she can create and maintain a living environment before she gets a frog. I believe Santa will bring her the live plants that she can use to start her terrarium. Of which another employee was very helpful at showing me where the live moss was, rather than purchasing compressed, non-live moss. Unfortunately, prices just jumped up quite a bit. I went to purchase two tiny packs of terrarium plants marked $5.99. They rang up at $8.99...I showed cashier the price tag so she pulled all the plants off the shelf! I wish I would have bought a few more before the price hike. So I left there and drove to my other local Petco store only to see they were marked $8.99...but they looked half-dead. They aren't really worth $5.99 let alone $8.99 and from the looks of the half-dead plants, most everyone else can't see paying the $8.99.

Cute staff, vary helpful with a smile. All you need to do is ask.

I love that they price match and my dogs love their duplex cookies.. Their vetco is pretty Awesome too, saves a visit to the vet for vaccines and microchip

Supreme customer service. I was surprised the petco employee at the register physically went to check on an item for me. Instead of the head nod in the direction I was supposed to go (which is what I expected)

Employees were respectful and helpful. They were explained everything to us. They did not have a large selection of glo items but overall good experience.

Staff was disengaged and not overly helpful. Some animals are mislabeled, but selection was good for pet food and supplies. Kinda meh shopping experience.

Best place to get a cat

The guy I’ve interacted with several times in the fish section goes above and beyond with information. He does a great job of balancing honesty with also doing what’s right for his company. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with this store until the woman this morning (who seemed like she was in charge) started off with me negatively and finished off colder and distant after completely lacking in empathy for a customer who just lost the parakeet purchased from this store the Friday before. Thankfully I didn’t bring my daughter with me, who the bird was purchased for, to have to hear this employee’s harsh questioning and tone. Please try to give your customers some benefit of the doubt. She made right by the warranty by replacing our dead bird but never did so in tone or other actions. She could learn a thing or two from the guy in the fish section who knows the balancing act required of quality customer service. I will go back to this store and recommend it to others but I hope I never see that female employee (possibly store manager) again.

Informed my boys and I when we walked in that Pet smart Lebanon, PA is reinstating the mask mandate!! We will NEVER step foot or spend our money in Pet Smart EVER AGAIN!!! TAKING MY MONEY AND BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!!

They're not fully stocked when it comes to the Royal Canin Cat foods

Very clean pet store and the staff were very friendly. They have a large variety of animals such as fish, lizards, snakes, cats, birds and hamsters. They also carry everything you need for all the above and stuff for dogs as well.

Very helpful staff. It makes a very BIG difference! Please keep up the good work! It’s very refreshing to deal with people who care!
