The Dog Stop - Sewickley Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

The Dog Stop is a wonderful place to send your dogs for Daycare or Boarding. We continue to be impressed by the level of professionalism and care that all the employees provide to our pup! He is enthusiastically greeted daily by name and a big smile from everyone there! It's reassuring to be able to access their live video feed to check in on your pups. I would recommend them to all of my friends and family.

The Dog Stop Sewickley always takes care of Sammy so well! He's a nervous dog and unpredictable, but he always has fun at TDS. The staff there knows exactly how to handle him so he's safe and happy, the other dogs are safe and happy, and I never have to worry about him.

My doggies have stayed overnight as well as have had doggie daycare with The Dog Stop. I appreciate the flexibility offered with hours of dropoff and pickup, as sometimes I must be early or late with my activities. The staff is helpful and tries to accommodate various needs as they occur.

First time my dogs were in a Kennel. They Loved it. Highly recommend Dog Stop! Will take back for day care.

Unprofessional staff. The last time our dog went there they lost his toy and bed. When I went to the location to retrieve it at a later date, only then did they tell us he chewed it apart-no mention of this when we called and checked on him multiple times. Then My husband booked our dog a stay here beginning on a Thursday and they didn’t have our dog in the system until Friday. They also failed to mention we needed his shots updated (we had been waiting to see his vet due to Covid-19 and would obviously have not made the reservation if we had known they don’t have his updated records) until we tried to bring him in. Their communication is poor and they seem incredibly disorganized. No apologies or help from any of the staff from their booking mistake either. There are better facilities to take your beloved pet to-avoid this one

Our dog loves it here. They are great at accommodating him even though he is not too friendly with other dogs. The staff members are great and you can truly see they love their dogs. They greet our pup by his name when we walk in! The groomer is also fantastic and always does a great job!

Gracie is our 4 year old Pit bull rescue. She is a very anxious dog and does not like other dogs. The Dog Stop Sewickley has truly been better than we ever could have asked. Everyone at the Dog Stop us so sweet to Gracie and allows us to board her with her other dog anxiety and Gracie gets her own kennel and can get some one on one time. We are so lucky to have them and we very much appreciate their service and love they give Gracie every time we take her.

I am very pleased with the level of care they give my two Siberian huskies and also their customer service. They were able to order in a special product for me. Being new to town they also connected me with other services for my dog such as a vet and a raw food source. 5 stars.

This place is filthy and understaffed. I would never leave my dog here.

We’ve been using this Dog Stop for several years. Mostly for boarding and sometimes grooming. We just picked our three Dachshunds up today after an overnight stay and one of them got a bath and nail trim and he smells like cookies! ???? They are always so good and sweet with our dogs. We’ve never given any thought to taking them anywhere else.

I've been taking my 2 dogs there to b groomed & they always do a good job! They have it all there-grooming, daycare, boarding, retail dog things etc... The staff are always pleasant & helpful! I would have given 5 stars but most of the time when u walk in, u get hit w/a strong dog odor!

As a former employee let me tell you, DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG TO THIS LOCATION. I cant speak for other locations, the ohio river boulevard location is privately owned therefore the owners dont have to keep up certain standards. First thing, dont let the front desk area fool you, everything is dirty. The upper area is not used and is literally just a dump for old furniture. There is an old safe that one dog is kept in because he destroys doors and he is kept in a dark metal vault all day without being let out until his owner picks him up. Its inhumane. They say they turn away human aggressive dogs but this is an example of the lies. They sometimes put dogs in what they call the “couch room” and they dont get let out. I once had to retrieve two brother dogs from the couch room after being in there all day and they were covered in pee. No one does anything about this. It was embarrassing to send home dogs soaking wet. The dogs that get boarded sometimes do not get their kennels cleaned until the ONE person cleans it. If that one person has the week off they are lucky to be cleaned. There are supposed to be employees in each area at all times. That rule isnt followed. We were pretty much allowed to do whatever, as long as there wasnt too much poop in each area we could just sit at the front desk all day. It was sad to see dogs left all day when their owners were under the impression that they were being socialized and having a positive day. Employees were allowed to bring their own dogs and honestly they were the only ones treated well. After my first day I decided not to bring my dog into a traumatizing place like this fearing that he would have problems at home after spending everyday there. 0/10 would not reccomend.

We had to take our pack there while some renovations were being done and the staff was so accommodating. Our pack had an entire room to themselves and a staff member to play fetch with them. I wont take them anywhere else!

The staff genuinely cares about your dog. They always remember her name and take great care of her.
