The people who work there are very friendly and concerned about keeping my animals happy and go out of their way to accommodate any situation

They turn you away for being 10 minutes late even when offering to pay a late fee just for a vaccine appointment. Meanwhile I had to stand there for 5 mins before a staff member even came to the desk. They are very rude and could care less about your pets needs. I would not donate or go here. Many other shelters or rescues that are much nicer would appreciate your donations and adoptions.

Hard to navigate around the cages. Don't go when they first open or before closing. Tooooo busy and you just wait.

Adopted a dog they said was good with kids. Brought our kids to meet the dog and everything was good until the next day the dog started showing signs of unprovked aggression towards the kids. Called and was told we had to make an appointment to return the dog and they don't authorize a refund .this place is criminal know when you purchase an animal from them their information maybe wrong and your stuck with it and out your adoption fee . Regardless if your home isn't safe with the pet you need to make an appointment to return them.this place used to be about helping animals.now its about helping take your money and making a buck

I went in after debating for a couple months about adopting another cat. Have adopted 2 there already. The staff was friendly every time. This time after choosing and paying for a cat that handed me a couple things to sign. One was stating that cat was not tested or vaccinated for feline leukemia. What? They want me to take this cat which might have a contagious disease into my house with another cat. I find this cost cutting measure unacceptable and worse. Most people probably don’t even know what that may be bringing into their house. If you guys read this you need to change this policy or at least make sure you are informing people to quarantine pets till they are tested and vaccinated. Just a heads up people. Animal friends still tests for this virus on adoptions. I will be heading out there when I get time.

I just heard about Nikki and how his euthanized body was taken to a dump instead of being cremated and the ashes given to his owner She had paid for this service. Your organization does good work for the most part, but this mixup is unforgivable. These dogs are living creatures that deserve the same respect as humans, including when they pass away. You need to reevaluate your policy regarding this and change it. It sounds that changes in senior leadership need to take place. You need to have a more empathetic person in charge. I have been donating faithfully for the last 10 years. Because of this incident I will not be doing that until some serious changes take place. Wake up and get rid of the worthless people that don’t know what they are doing!

Amazing and beautiful experience bringing home Darwin, the absolute light of our lives. The staff here was VERY sure that we were an appropriate family to adopt Darwin, and from what I understand, turned away a possible other adopter for him due to this person’s clear and obvious lack of ability to provide him proper care. I felt that the staff here genuinely wanted to assure a healthy, safe, and thriving life for the animals under their care. We were rightfully encouraged to sign up for training, which we happily did, and were thrilled to learn that Darwin will be able to catch up with some of his shelter buddies during the classes. We worked with the young dude with tattoos and stretched ears who was extremely knowledgeable and very affectionate of all the animals there.

We went there to see if anyone had turned on our lost cat. The clerk was very helpful and knowledgeable about what our breed of cat would look like. The had a microchip scanner right at the front desk to scan any animals that might be brought in. They do excellent work. We were united with our cat thanks to all the things they suggest to do on their web pages

Great organization. They do a wonderful job taking care of the animals and making sure they are placed in safe homes. We've adopted all our animals from them for the last 20 years and no bad experiences. We also use their very clinic and love it.

Rude, unprofessional staff. Took my dog for vaccines and spay, never acknowledged my presence and were very vague when I asked questions. I notice all of the low star comments are from POC. You may want to be a little more courteous and respectful to ppl whose neighborhood you have your business in. Never follow through with community events. TWICE I brought my dog for the low cost vaccine and TWICE it was canceled. Would NOT recommend this place and will NEVER go back!! The one star is only so I can leave this review.

I recently adopted my girl last week and she came to me with kennel cough, fleas, and a deep puncture wound that was infected. This “rescue” completely neglected this girl by not providing her with proper veterinarian care, and put her up for adoption with these medical conditions. I contacted the rescue in which an appointment was made to see the wound. The only care they provided was cough medicine and anti bacteria pills to give her. They did not clean the wound, or drain it. I am extremely upset and disappointed by the care she was given and I pray that the other animals receive better. I do not trust this rescue, for they have put my health, and my other dogs health at risk because of their negligence. I now will have to take her to the ER so she can be properly cared for since the Humane Animal Rescue neglected to do so.

Good service. I'm extremely happy that stray or unwanted animals have a opportunity to be rescused and be given love. HOWEVER, THEY HAVE GOTTEN EXTREMELY PRICEY,IT APPEARS TO HAVE BECOME MORE OF A BUSINESS TO PROFIT,VERSES A HUMANE SOCIETY!
