Horrible experience at this vet. Like other reviews have stated this place just seems to only care about money and has a serious lack of communication. First issue is when I took my cat in to get blood work done. When I went to pay after they were finished I noticed the bill seemed higher than it should have been. When I inquired further it turns out they gave my cat a vaccine without asking / informing me they were doing so. Now just today I went to take my cat in again for blood work and was late to my appointment due to the fact that I have an extremely skittish cat who makes it very difficult capture. I explained all this and was still told if I wanted to be seen today I had to pay an additional fee or reschedule. So that cleary mean they have the time but are just trying to squeeze me for more money. Well congratulations No Libs VC hope trying to charge a late fee was worth it because now we will no longer be bringing any of our pets there.

Just went for my first appointment ever with my new cat and I’m so relieved at how amazingly it went. All of the employees were so kind and clearly care so deeply for the animals. The doctor was super thorough and spent a lot of time with me to make sure all of my questions were answered. I waited for less than 5 minutes to be seen and then another 5 for the doctor, which was fine with me! I definitely recommend.

Super friendly service and easy to make appointments. Love that I get reminders whenever my pup is due for a visit.

We have have a puppy, for the first time, and we are so anxious about his wellness and growth. The nice staff and a wonderful vet, Dr. Lindsey Smith, made us very happy and relieved. They explained everything and provided us with links and pamphlets. They also called the day after to make sure that our puppy is feeling well after his vaccines.

This vet is not even my normal vet that we go to. We normally go to Art Museum Vet (which northern liberties vet center is affiliated with). Yesterday, on 8/2, my husband called Art Museum to describe what was happening with our dog. We were told to call back the next morning 8/3 at 9AM to schedule a same day visit even though they said there was a 10:30AM and 3PM appointment available. They also prescribed an anti inflammatory without assessing or examining him. We called the next day 8/3 at 8:59 AM and were told that all same day appts were taken by previous callers. We were told multiple times to call at 9AM to get those appts, but apparently, they were taking calls prior to 9AM, so other clients were able to make the appts before the time we were told to call. They then told us about their affiliation with Northern liberties vet center. Since this was not our normal vet, they were much farther than Art museum. We called and were able to get a same day appt for 10:30AM. The Vet Tech called to get all of this information and symptoms. That was when I told her our situation and how we were originally supposed to go to Art Museum which is very close to our house. I arrived at Northern Liberties vet at 10:40AM and waited outside per the sign that said "doors are locked, please knock." No response, and I saw the receptionist, Wren, on the phone. After waiting a couple minutes I tried to see if the door was open. I was then rudely approached by a tech saying that we were more than 10 minutes late and that there would be a late fee. I proceeded to tell her that I was waiting outside for a couple minutes and if there was any way she could waive the late fee as my dog was in pain and needed to be seen. I explained the whole situation from the day before and she said "well you should have called at 8am, not 9am for Tuesday appts." This is not what we were told REPEATEDLY by both vets. I asked to speak with the manager JULIET who was useless and provided no help. Even if they were going to charge a late fee, the first thing they could've asked was "how is your dog doing", not "There's going to be a late charge". Overall, just horrible service and it seems that they value profits over patient care. That is just unprofessional and unacceptable. Transferring our dog's records to somewhere else. DO NOT GO HERE.

We needed a new vet for our cat and brought him here. Staff was very friendly and the prices are extremely reasonable especially for the location!

Love this place, I've been taking my dog here for 3 years and he loves it there (yes, my dog actually loves the vet haha)

They have a very nice staff and they are affordable. They also don't put pressure on you to do expensive elective treatments. My cats are as relaxed as they can be at a vet.

Northern Liberties Vet Center is exceptional - our cat with several complex conditions received care here over the past year, and the providers were all extraordinarily comprehensive with and communicative about their care. We could not recommend them more highly.

I’ve been taking my dog to No Libs vet since Sept 2020 and have always been impressed by their staff. Today was my first time going in with my dog and it has completely solidified my love for this office and team!! My dog is so afraid of strangers, but Hector and Dr. Geisel were so kind and clearly have a ton of experience with nervous dogs. Highly recommend!!

I've been going here for years. I'm not sure how to really rate a pet doctor, I mean, my dog loves going there cause they pet her a lot and give her a treat and lots of attention. I don't have a lot of other vet experience to compare it to to be honest. But my dog is six years old, healthy, and when we get onto the block for this Vet she wags her tail and drags me down the street cause she is so excited to get there. So I think it's a great place.

We never met the vet. It was a drop off visit, but we had not been warned of this. We were not able to ask why the cats had to be tested for heartworms, when they had already tested negative by PAWS. They were vaccinated for FVRCP but they had already been vaccinated for FVRCP by PAWS. All in all, perhaps if we had been able to develop a relationship with someone we would be happier. But I'm not happy.

This place is amazing can really feel like they care for every furry friend that comes in if they cant help you they will make sure to give you many options on who to help you. Jasmine and everyone else in there is super nice I just wish I could remember more names so everyone could get the shout out they deserve pick this place as your pets main PCP they will make sure your animal lives a healthy long life. They are the reason my dog Yuki is healthy was able to guide me and give me information I needed to get back to normal want to say more but then I'd be typing all day. Just thank you guys and whoever's name I may be forgetting.

Everyone was very polite. I came to the door the receptionist was waiting for me to drop my cat off. I waited in my car and as I waited they kept in contact with me reporting everything they want to do for my cat and to get my approval to do so.

Turned away, was told by staff that their facility is inadequately equipped for my pets visit. Then they spammed my email anyway

I can’t say enough about this place. They are so wonderful with both of my frenchies, Vito and Carmela. Vito has gone to them for multiple skin and allergy issues. I’m always scared for him because he hates going, but they are so gentle and kind. He always comes out feeling better and he’s very comfortable with them now. The receptionists, vet techs, and doctors are all amazing. I highly recommend this clinic!

Extremely happy with my first experience here! Staff practiced safe and proper distancing practices, were very prompt upon pet drop off, initial dr check in, calling back, answering questions, and proving a lot of great information. I felt I was talked to as a person, not a customer. My cat is all taken care of, and i'd recommend to anyone

Dr. Smith and the Vet Techs are amazing! They're responsive, they're helpful, and they clearly explain what's going on with your pet in a way anyone can understand. They will also offer consulting over the phone if they can't squeeze your pet in that day and it's not an emergency. 10/10 I recommend them to everyone I meet who has a pet in Philly.

I am so grateful to the NoLibs Vet! During the pandemic I called in to get advice when my cat was having a medical issue. Knowing I wouldn't be able to take her in, I was very stressed about what to do for my cat. I called simply to ask for their opinion, and the receptionist suggested I take pictures of the affected area of my cat and send them to her, and then she offered to show them to the nurses and doctors. Within a few hours I conferenced with Kayla, a technician and we discussed a plan for my cat for the meantime while we are under quarantine. She was so kind and responsive, and I felt so much better knowing that they were here to help even if I couldn't physically go into the office. Quality people and quality service, I recommend to anyone in the Phila area who is looking for a forever vet.

First time cat owner so I wasn't sure what to expect for our first vet trip. The entire staff was wonderful, thoughtful, educational, and super sweet. The follow up by phone and email was quick and much appreciated.

My dog is what I like to call a "money pit" (see Tom Hanks movie for this reference). Gorgeous on the outside but a helluva lot of issues happening on the inside. Chronic UTI's, skin infections, ear infections, bad joints etc. On top of that, she is very anxious around people and will react if you don't approach her correctly. When I introduced Elle to the staff, I had sent them a detailed email about her. They were unfazed and knew exactly how to make her feel comfortable. Dr Smith is our main vet and is INCREDIBLE. I love working with her to treat Elle's flare ups! Elle has responded so positively to all of her treatments that they actually don't happen as often anymore. I cannot recommend Northern Liberties Vet enough!

My 10 year old Black Mouth Cur's medical problems are extremely complicated. She needs multiple medicines including injections. We visit N. Liberties Vet at least every 2 weeks. Care by Dr. Glass and the entire team is thoughtful and compassionate, and responsive. I'm so grateful and relieved that I can turn to them.

Beware when bringing your pets here! This place is more concerned about its bottom line than your pet. They extracted 9 teeth from my 4 year old dog without even a phone call, after I expressly asked them not to. When I confronted them, their excuse was that she had 40 teeth! No compassion. No apologies. I was told to move on. Not only that, but they always try to up-sell and guilt you into testing that your pet doesn’t need.

First visit with newly adopted adult dog. Even with Covid-19 restrictions the staff was very professional and courteous. The hand-off between Alvin and the staff was easy. Contactless interviewing over cell phone once Alvin was in their hands. They were very comprehensive and thorough. Answered all my questions. They explained all the likely vaccines my dog would need, was very transparent about pricing and didn’t try to sell me services that weren’t needed. Great first experience. Very happy.
