I was early for an appointment. I still had to wait 20 minutes to be seen. We cannot enter the office, so everyone has to squeeze into the parking lot next door, where we wait to be called. There are 3 doors, I was not sure which one to go to. With no warning, I was presented with a bill for $351.23. not told to bring a fecal sample, fortunately, I secured one while we waited, which they asked for as I waited in my car. , Heartworm AGC, Routine/office visit AND Young Canine Maint Profile. There is a difference??? Influenza Bivalent, I have no idea what that is, Rabies, DHPP, Lepto 4, do idea what that is either, Fecal, Bordetella, Otic solution. Charges kept piling up as I sat there, blood test, heartworm test, she has been on heartworm meds for a year,. I am happy that all vaccines are updated and documented, it would have been nice to have an estimate before being presented with this bill.

I have total confidence in my cat’s vet at Mt Airy Animal Hospital. Moved away from area over 1 yr ago but they were able to give us same day appointment when we were recently in area for a visit.

They were cool and not pushy about expensive surgery. They're helping me manage my cats mouth pain from stomatitis until I can afford teeth extraction.

Dr.Lauderdale, Dr. Orr, Gerry and Jenny and all the other behind the scenes vet techs and staff Thank you for the great care you gave to my Rottie especially the end stage of his life. As heartbreaking as it was you all went above and beyond to help me in a dire situation. I can’t thank you enough

There are not enough POSITIVE things I can say about the Mount Airy Animal Hospital. First off, Hakim the hospital manager has been watching my old dogs since I was little. We still bring our dog(s) here years later and are always welcomed with warm smiles and positive attitudes. The staff is incredibly responsive and if ever there is an issue, someone is always willing and ready to help. I recommend every single one of my neighbors to come to this office. -They all love it here and have had positive experiences as well. 10/10, I wish I could give more than 5 stars. It is upsetting to see they have been getting more negative reviews since COVID-19. I think it has been difficult on clients to not be able to come into the building, and causes more anxiety.

Dr Orr is absolutely amazing and so is every tech we’ve ever worked with. Love the care my pets get and the transparency I receive. Fair prices for services in my 12 years as a pet owner in multiple states.

Be careful, they might forget to return your dog while they’re having a party in the back. Waited 45 minutes after getting a call from Dr.Orr saying he was good to go and to expect a call for checking him out. Never got it. Called 6 times with no answer. One time they even hung up on me. After picking up you could hear everyone laughing and having a good time in the back. Do your job, absolutely pathetic UPDATE: THEY FORGOT TO GIVE BACK ANOTHER DOG. And while sitting in the car my girlfriend saw 5 pizzas being delivered. She went to knock on the door and she could see everyone partying so you know they could see her. Knocked, ran the bell. Nothing. Trash, this place is trash

Arrived to Mt. Airy Animal Hospital excited and ready to schedule an appointment for my new kitten. When I approached the center, a customer and her dog were being taken care of and I waited while the technician finished up. When she finished with the customer, she looked at me and simply walked away. I called over to her and asked if I could make an appointment, her response was that she could not make an appointment because she is a nurse. This is not a feasible excuse at all as I personally know Veterinary Technicians that serve as a nurse as well as a point of communication. So I reluctantly called the center (since they do not allow pet parents into the center) and was told the next available appointment for a simple Wellness check would be July 14th. More than 2 weeks away from the current date. I was not satisfied with this experience and will not be reaching out to Mt. Airy Animal Hospital again.

My cat was really sick and when Dr Orr saw him he did a thorough evaluation. Meds were prescribed determined by blood work. I so appreciate Dr Orr and those who have served us . They are the best. Thank you all so much.

Mt. Airy Animal Hospital is the only place I will take my pet. From the doctors, techs and front desk staff, everyone is kind, patient and attentive. They have made their contactless appointment routine, seamless and anxiety free. I cannot say enough about the level of care and compassion at this practice. Dr. Orr and Edwin are the best!

Had two surgeries for 2 different dogs here. Great surgeon at a much lower cost than my previous vet. The staff is very professional and kind. The doctor that called after surgery was very clear on instructions and took the time to answer all of my questions.

I went there for an emergency. The sign says OPEN 8am I say 7:45am to 8:20 a.m I saw a few.al enter back door at 8:06 am but no one answered my call or the door.

Usually very pleased. May be to the pandemic and the inability to engage face to face. I had a technician that was insulting and lacked restrain with her assumptions and judgements. It's unfortunate because I was a loyal customer for 13 years. I would recommend going to Hickory Pet Hospital where they can engage with customers with a sense of decorum. Greatly disappointed.

Good service and Veterinarian was very helpful and caring to my 2 pups. Wish there was more discussion about prices and benefits of each vaccine or recommendation before asking whether we would like to do it. It's just good to know what we re really paying for. Will come back though!

Eventhough it was an utterly heartbreaking day for me the staff and Dr Lauderdale were very compassionate, understanding and honest. I took my cat in for a visit hoping her illness would require medication but after x-rays and examination I opted to have her euthanized to end her suffering. I was able to spend time with her and hold her before procedure. I received a card of sympathy which was very thoughtful and appreciated.

This practice is amazing. Everyone is so nice; they genuinely like what they do. On meeting my dog who was as PTSD for the first time, the doc picked up a dental problem that was significant and was never picked up by previous vet because that vet never bothered to look in his mouth.

Found this Vet online. My Yorkie was limping around and not acting herself, so I knew something was wrong. I called on Sunday and God was on my side. They took me in, and took care of my Chicka. Very grateful...

Excellent service . FIRST visit was today. He was so happy when he came out. The Staff is wonderful. Really treated my fur baby BLUE so well. Very professional. I highly recommend them.
