City Cat vets are great. All the staff are friendly and willing to help. Love Dr. Perner she's great. Very loving and compassionate with my 2 babies. They are great. They are always there for you.

Dr. Perner and the entire staff at City Cat Vets are fabulous. They took loving care of our kitten, whether it was a regular checkup or dealing with a problem that came up. Everyone was devoted to making the experience as pleasant as possible, and Dr. Perner was deeply invested in making sure our cat received the best possible care. I highly recommend City Cat Vets if you're looking for a practice that's committed to treating your cat.

Dr. Elizabeth and her assistant were very kind and responsible with my cat. Dr. Elizabeth explained Arya's problem to me in great details and with patience. I arrived recently to USA, so I'm glad that I found you and It's definitely going to be my cat's vet. I highly recommend this Cat Vet.

My cat loves going here! They're super great with prescriptions and refills.

I have never been to a vet that I like this much. They always take so much time and care with my cats and explain to me everything they’re doing and why. They never give a recommendation without discussing the reasoning that went into it. They’re super patient when I ask my 101 questions. And I have never once felt like they were pushing me to do something that my cat didn’t need or trying to increase the bill in any way. One of my cats (pictured below) had to get her teeth removed and they called me multiple times, emailed me multiple times the day of the procedure, and followed up multiple times after I took her home. They’ve just been so genuine throughout the entire process I feel like they really and truly care about the well-being of my kitties. Could not recommend this vet practice more.

Took the little guy in for a follow-up. It was the 2nd time there and 1st time to come in with him after lockdown. I was able to finally meet his Dr and other staff. They are a great team, professional and courteous. The dr even remembered Chingón and our talks over the phone from the last visit. Even if she had just read her notes, she read her notes and prepped for the visit!! That is more than I can say for previous dr, and other medical drs out there. In conclusion, wonderful staff and medical personnel! They are professional, dedicated and amazing. Overall, an amazing Veterinarian kitty clinic and experience.

I adopted a cat with a gnarly tooth, I came to City Cat after I wasn’t satisfied with the level of care and consideration received from two other practices. Dr Marjorie van Saun and the rest of the staff are amazing! They were not only thorough and kind when evaluating my kitty but also when helping me understand her condition.The city cat team pointed out and explained things to me about her that the other vets either missed or didn’t care to mention. Ultimately my cat needed a tooth extraction. I dropped her off in the morning and was communicated with throughout the day. I picked my cat up and she was cleaner than when I dropped her off (she loves to dig around outside) and happy as could be. I was also emailed a letter detailing the procedure and findings. Happy to have found such a knowledgeable and trustworthy group of people!

Jasper was overdue for a visit. Dr. van Suan (who we didn't meet due to contact less visit) called to see what questions and concerns I had. She suggested a blood panel and checked his teeth. She said he needed dental work and later sent an estimate. I received an email the next day with an explanation of his test results. She followed up quickly and didn't rush me on the phone. Other employees were nice and efficient. I've been coming here for seven years. Always helpful.

The people were very nice. I didn’t wait long. But they never treated my cat properly for fleas. They never went away afterwards. I ended up buying him more medication.

I love everyone over at City Cat Vets. We switched to City Cat Vets from another practice back in 2019, after I felt we were being over-charged for merely adequate care at our old vet. I'm so glad we made the change. Everyone - from Dr. Perner and Dr. Knighton, to Ceil and Sharon up front - are so kind and generous and caring and fully-invested in our cats' well-being. Our one cat has a pernicious allergy problem, and Dr. Perner frequently emails to check in on her progress, and to ask her photos of her skin issues. My cats receive better care than I do at the human doctor!

The BEST vet. Professional, kind, thorough. Treats you like a person and your kitty like a true member of the family. I can't say enough good things about this vet. The customer service is unparalleled. We almost never have to wait because they are so efficient. I will never take my cat anywhere else as long as I live in Philly.

I’ve been taking my cat here for the past year and a half. Even during covid, when you are not able to be in the room with your cat, the vets will call you and be clear about what’s going on. The rest of the staff is very kind, responsive, and helpful on the phone and email. Theyre also straightforward on prices. They obviously care greatly for the animals and people!

Everyone at this practice has been so pleasant and friendly. Each vet that we dealt with was professional and worked with us to help our elderly cat. Can't recommend them enough.

My first couple of visits at this practice were decent, however, when it comes down to it it’s the laziness of this practice that resulted in the loss of my best friend. My cat was experiencing GI issues and at the time, was getting blood tests and ultrasounds regularly. During this stretch of time, Dr. Andeer maintained great communication. However, it came time to prescribe my cat steroids. She told us to give it a month. During that month I emailed regarding refills and other symptoms that emerged, only to be completely ignored. I received responses to these inquiries after emailing or calling to follow up. After the month, my cat had no change but I was advised to continue the medications for another month and was told that the symptoms would resolve themselves ‘in time’. Two months after this medication was prescribed, my cat ended up at the animal hospital and passed away 2 hours after arrival. This practice doesn’t care about your cat. They care about your money. I excused a lot of their behavior like billing errors and not returning my messages with COVID, but in hindsight, I see that because I was not actively paying for visits or procedures my inquiries were tossed to the back. Only to be addressed by the front desk, not even Dr. Andeer. I received a minimal effort “condolance” email from Dr. Andeer. The email was minimal effort just like her care for my cat over the last couple of months. My cat was left suffering from a terminal disease for who knows how long due to the laziness and ignorance of this practice. I would never recommend that anyone take their best friend here. This practice will be nice and you’ll want to forgive errors, but I sure hope you don’t catch them on an off-stretch because you’ll end up losing your best friend.

I am a new cat owner and this was my first visit to a vet office since adopting my kittens. My one baby started developing a rash and so after looking online I emailed City Cat Vets to ask about an appointment. They got back to me quickly and were even able to schedule me an appointment for the very next day due to someone canceling. They were so kind and walked me through every step of the process from dropping her off to her aftercare. I really felt like my cat was in great hands, they made the process completely painless for me, I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Thank you City Cat Vets!

City Cat Vets is an amazing veterinary office! The staff is extremely quick to respond and help me with whatever concern I have with my cats. The doctors are very professional and thorough. I have a Sphynx that is very difficult to handle at the vets and the doctors and nurses work well with him in order to keep his stress levels manageable. I love this office and would recommend to anyone! Your cats will be in great hands at City Cat Vets.

To the front desk, you are dealing with the public who are entrusting you to their family member. A living creature and for some the only comfort they have in their life. Treat people with compassion, care and calm. Most people will react in kind. Example of my experience. Arrived and got yelled at because of stepping over the line on the sidewalk, because you wouldn't speak loud enough until it was time to yell. Had a bill handed to me without any explanation. Had my cat put on the sidewalk without any acknowledgement that it was mine, whether my cat was ok during the day and if there were any questions. Afterwards, insurance company asked for information and had to ask for you to send it twice. Asked about getting some prescription or product to help with my cats teeth, no response. I hope this was the exception but I am seeing some common threads in the reviews. You have some great vets there and I don't think you are purposely being rude but it was an unfortunate experience.

I love this vet hospital and would only take my cats there. Dr. Andeer is simply amazing and has helped me with so many veterinary issues including referring me to specialists for medical conditions, dealing with dietary issues and weight control for my cats. I actually think my cats receive better medical care at CCV than I do with my own doctor's!

City Cat Vets made my cat's first visit to the vet since adoption incredible! I was nervous for her because she's very shy, but I could tell they handled her gently and kindly. Even with covid restrictions, everything was communicated with me clearly over the phone and through email. They got back to me very quickly to schedule an appointment, and were very accommodating to all my worries. So excited to have found such a great vet in Philly, will be returning for every check up.
