Hated this place Never ever go to the bridge at petsmarts Newton clinic they don't even call when your baby is done surgery and if you comment anything that bothers you They will refuse to continue service even if your baby has stiches.They I believe are all beginning I'm the vet world Don't go they've not even sent me biopsy of the lump removed SO why did I pay for this service

The employees at Petsmart in Newtown are always friendly and helpful. I love the improved treat choices and toys. Miss Peggy at Petsmart training is awesome and Howie had a great time at class.

This store is convenient, but overly expensive - your basic corporate chain. I wish they would stop selling small animals - the cages are too small and must be so stressful for those animals. Also, the parking lot almost seems set up for accidents - way too small for the volume of patrons.

Dylan is horrible as a manager. Used to be good local place! Will never go back to them and instead went to Petco. Manager from pets-mart never found time to get back to me!

I'll never set foot in this store again. If you have to return a pet, still well within the return policy, you will be made to feel like scum through attitude, misinformation and passive aggressive comments. I purchased 2 additional parakeets for my kids 10 days ago. While there we fell in love with one of the conures. After several hours of thinking about it, we decided to go back and get the conure, who is amazing, like a member of the family. During the last few days it became apparent that 5 birds (2 keets, the 2 new keets and the new conure) was a lot. After soul searching and deciding the best course of action, I had to make the touch choice to return the 2 new keets in order to properly care for the conure and the older keets. It was not easy and I already felt horrible. I let the cashier know and was met with a bit of attitude. I was asked when I purchased them, which I said Dec 4. First she said you missed it, then oh today is the last day. NOTE: their own policy is 14 days, so I had 4 days left, which it is their policy, as I was told by their staff the day I purchased that if FOR ANY REASON I needed to, they can be returned. It just went down hill. I was met with attitude, even though I expressed I was upset and it wasn't easy for me and it was evident they were not happy I was returning them. Then the passive aggressive comments from the person who took the birds from me "oh great, two separate habitats, wonderful!" just added to the horrible, disrespectful experience. When I got my container back, it was as if I was "dismissed." I'm in this store twice a month for fish and bird food & supplies. I spend $700 when I purchased the conure, food and accessories. After today, I'll NEVER return to this Pet Smart again. You get more selection, better pricing and less attitude buying online, and I am moving all my purchases to online. Pet Smart has lost all of my future business.

Been coming to this store in Newtown for 8 years. My dog gets groomed here every month and I buy supplies here for all my pets, spending here on average 200$ each month. Always a good experience until today when I ran into their manager Dylan, who I’ve never seen there before. Each month, when I drop off my dog for his monthly grooming, I pick up a few things and pay for everything prior to leaving the store. That way when I come back to pick him up, I can be in and out quickly to avoid causing extra anxiety to my dog. Today, as I dropped off my dog and went to pay, Dylan came up to me and said that, not only I can’t pay yet, I can’t even be in the store. It was 9:50 am, store doors were open, lights were on and people were walking around the store. For some reason, Dylan decided to discriminate against me. Why keep the door open if store is closed??? Doesn’t make any sense. But even if that was the case, if he was professional, he should have approached me differently. It was extremely rude and embarrassing that he picked on me of all people and was so rude to me in front of everyone. What kind of customer service is that??? Especially on a rainy Sunday morning. Corporate will definitely be notified and hopefully the general manager, Rich, will address this quickly. Called manager couple of times, told be he is busy and he will call me back. I took my business to Petco and they take my $200-$250 every months with a smile. Bye bye petsmart forever!!!

Would of been descent place, if it wasn’t for people like Dylan. I see some other complains here about him. Just made my experience horrible for the first time in years coming here. Will go to other local places or order it from amazon, same price no attitude. Manager of the store never got back to me after I’ve called twice.

Dylan is the reason my self and the family left Petsmart and went to Petco little while ago. Horrible communications skills and really stinky attitude towards someone who’s family spent $500-600 at this store every month. No more

Aquarium dept is awful. The guy scooping the fish was yelling and screaming and throwing the decorations out of the tank in front of my 4 year old. He was acting like a child having a hissy fit. Tank was full of dead fish and sure Enough they died a day later. I never had fish die from specialty aquarium stores..only pet smart. Avoid this place if you are buying fish. Also i tested their water and the hardness was off the charts. They can care less

Peggy at puppy training school is wonderful. I switched from a private school locally and it was a world of difference. Very kind and explains things well. Picked up some real gems in training my dog.

The guy at the fish tanks told me the regular fish food feeders would be safe to use for my betta fish tanks because the betta fish ones were sold out and my betta fish died. So thanks dude

My dog loves going to see Chelsea T. The whole check in/out process is so easy. My dog always looks like a million bucks when he leaves.

Horrible experience as always with Newtown Petsmart grooming! My dog was wet and clearly dirty when I picked him up, I needed to bathe and dry him at home tight afterwards. Total waste of money!!!!

Plenty of parking at this Petsmart. The staff is always friendly, the store is always clean And the shelves are always stocked. It’s a little difficult to go in there to spend money when I know that I can find the same items online for less than what Petsmart is selling them for however if you’re in a jam and you need something immediately it’s definitely a place to check out.

A great place to buy all your pets needs including food and toys. They have all sorts of leashes and collars for cats and dogs. They have ktty adoptions and a clinic to help your animals. Theres a salon to gove your pets. Haircut and bath inside. You can get fish and small animals as well.

I just adopted my puppy and had a long list of items I needed to buy. The Newtown staff were extremely helpful and made my shopping experience less stressful and more enjoyable. I am greeted every single time I walk into the store and they are always willing to assist and answer any questions I may have. This is one of the many reasons why I shop at this particular store versus buy online. Keep up the outstanding customer service! I will definitely be back to shop in the future. The PetSmart Newtown location is my go-to neighborhood pet store!

Curbside pick up is not work at this location. I waited almost 20 minutes as the app told me that someone was on their way. When I finally went into the store no one had any idea. It seem like they weren’t even aware that they were supposed to do curbside pick up
