Went in with the intention of meeting a few dogs & walked away with our little guy. Very smooth process, friendly and helpful staff and cute dogs! This is our first time with any shelter or owning a puppy and we were greeted with kindness and the process was not difficult.

I had the best experience! I have applied to so many rescues and have never even heard back. Rags2Riches’ costumer service is top notch. I got approved within a day and contacted by the foster who was housing my pup. I fell in love, left a deposit and was able to pick him up a few days later. I would recommend this organization to anyone and have been telling all my friends and family about it. Thank you for all you do. I will be forever grateful for my R2R puppy.

Greedy and unethical!!! I sent a Venmo of $100 to hold a dog and then immediately said I could not do so because of a prior obligation. I never signed anything. I never said it was a donation. They REFUSE to give me the money back. If I was financially able to donate, I would. It is not that they can't give the money back, they refuse to do so. This is supposed to be an ethical organization. How hard is it to do the right thing here? They are making me go through a legal process to get my money back, which I will have to do. Please go with another organization who actually has morals and cares beyond money.

I am totally floored by the way the staff and volunteers all work together to help make there adoptions run smoothly! I was sooo nervous and ever since I adopted my furbabies from rags 2riches they have been there for me since day 1 any questions I call. maybe I call to much but they don’t make me feel as if I’m being annoying they are all just great loving people thank you R2R for being always there when I needed you and thank you for my 2 beautiful boys I have adopted from you twice! I recommend all my friends and family and everyone who has adopted from you has all had a beautiful turn out! Rags 2 Riches you all truly care About you’re animals and adopters Tremendously if I could give you a 10 * totally would!

Why did you you remove an experienced foster from your page specifically used for volunteers? I was randomly removed without anyone reaching out to me or anything when I’m still available to volunteer and potentially foster. My father had even adopted his dog from this rescue back in early 2018 so I wanted to continue to support them but they only want easy adoptions. This rescue isn’t willing to work with many dogs with behavior issues. I was never even reached out to before being removed by a single one of your employers or volunteers. I really don’t find that okay that you wouldn’t reach out to me as to why I couldn’t continue to foster before you removed me. Is it the fact that I’ve recently rescued ACCT dogs(which you’ve only done 1-2 times)? Because you’ve never once reached out to me regarding me working with any other rescues and I find it weird all the higher ups in the rescue removed me as friends as well on social media. Clearly this rescue doesn’t want or care about reliable fosters. They also don’t care about whether or not they know the process of adopting when you’re a foster. You will walk into a foster situation completely blind and just randomly receive applications. You facilitate everything as the foster. Which is fine but maybe you should explain your process to new fosters instead of assuming they know it. I had fostered 2 dogs from here, both of which were adopted and went to their forever home. First adopt was a bit messy where after Sheba (my first foster dog) first met with the new owner, I wasn’t aware that the new owner could keep the dog if they paid the deposit right then. This was never explained to me and was just more a lack of communication on the adoption/foster process. Everything worked out and the new owner wound up meeting me at the center that weekend. My second foster dog, ginger, was an amazing dog. Process for adopt went smoother. There’s nothing wrong with the animals they have, only the employees which apparently don’t like ACCT dogs or when you volunteer with other rescues? Weird. Every dog needs a home and every rescue needs help.

0 STARS!!!! WARNING! Do not adopt from this shelter!!!!!!!!!!! Adopted which is now my 7 Month old Joanie from here in July. Waited to post this review because I was waiting to receive my $50 dollars return after I had her spayed which she now is. Thats a joke no response what so ever. Literally spent over one month with our new puppy nursing her to good health. This shelter lied about some many things. Such as her being healthy , house trained , and good on leash & UTD on shots. Brought her home and the very first night realized she was very very sick. Vomiting non stop coughing non stop. Running eyes yellow mucus coming out. Heartbreaking I Stayed up nights with her comforting her. This was also hard on both of my two children to see. When I contacted Rags to Riches the next day which also wasn't easy I finally spoke to Shannon and she said she had no clue what so ever that Joanie was even a lil bit sick and showed not one single sign of being sick. Yeah Ok so it happened over night?????? After nearly $1000 dollars of vet bill Joanie left the shelter with Kennel Cough (which prob all the other dogs there have) Worms, Eye infection. Place is a joke. Do not go there!!!!!!!!

Adopters beware!! MAKE SURE YOUR DOG HAS BEEN HEARTWORM TESTED- - DO NOT TAKE THE RESCUES WORD THAT IT HAS BEEN DONE- THIS INFO MAY SAVE MANY DOGS LIVES!!) I adopted a dog through this rescue that came from Texas that I was told had been tested for heartworm as well as microchipped. Neither of those thing were true. My newly adopted dog is heartworm positive and Tish (owner) was unable to provide me a copy of a negative heartworm test when confronted with the issue that the dog I just adopted was indeed heartworm postive as well as NOT microchipped. (Tish told me they “were on back order” - except she only told me that AFTER being called out on the fact that he was not chipped. I was under the impression he had been chipped already- she tried to blame the foster for the mis-information but I don’t believe that to be true.) Tish was extremely hard to get in contact with. Ultimately I was given my money back for the dog but it was only because I had to continuously reach out to her and I also had to agree to pay for the $900 treatment to save my dogs life. she was willing to do the treatment but was not considering the fact that the treatment was over an hour away from my house and she also did not want to follow the American heartworm Association guideline that says that the dogs get three shots not only two. She was only willing to pay for two. As a rescue it’s their responsibility to test their dogs before they adopt them out. She dropped the ball and when I asked about it she told me that it wasn’t her fault that she didn’t have a copy of the heartworm test that the previous rescue that she’s partnered with down in Texas told her had been administered. Her exact words were that she can’t go down to Texas and get a copy herself. She also told me she was not in the business of losing money. I hate to talk down about a rescue because obviously dogs need a good home, but there’s something very wrong about this. Not to mention that the first dog that I adopted from them last June died mysteriously 10 months later. I thought it was a fluke but now I’m starting to think that it’s more common. Please look at the other reviews of people who have similar experiences. I do not believe she is vetting these dogs I think she’s just turning them over as quick as possible.

Rags 2 Riches lies about their animals behavioral problems to get them adopted. They claimed a dog who has a documented history of aggressive behavior (of which multiple police reports were filed because of it) is friendly and good with children. His aggression and reactivity is not mentioned anywhere in their posts, they also lied about why he was returned to the rescue. This is a pattern of behavior; other reviews show similar things. Adopt a pet somewhere else. If for some reason you do adopt a pet from R2R, get a behavioral evaluation from a professional who is not affiliated with this place.

Absolutely LOVE Tish, her family, and her rescue crew. More importantly her fosters and adopters that understand what rescue is truely about. I become aware of a previous negitive review that put this rescue under fire as if they mislead adopters about behavior issues from rescue dogs. Before I give my review please know that I am not related to anyone on staff and I have never sat down to have dinner with anyone. I am purely basing my review on my own knowledge and experience with animal rescue and my personal experiences partnering with R2R to save death role doggies. I have zero incentive other than honesty to in my review. Rags 2 Riches truely gives 100% of their heart and spares no expense on medical. There will always be those who expect to adopt a perfect pre-made pet however they want a gold star for saying they rescued a dog. For those who really want to "rescue" know that rescue is full of commitment and often hard work. It is full of unknown, excitement, 2nd and 3rd chances, and A LOT of rewarding moments. No animals behavior can be guaranteed just like no child's behavior. For example.. I still remember paying for blinds in my apartment that my 3 year old daughter chewed up and also getting that call that my child was bitten on the face by another child in class. Point being Kids nor dogs are perfect while they are learning what behavior is and is not socially acceptable. Some get it and succeed and sadly some never learn. (Like my husband) lol With that said I know when behavior issues or concerns are notes that R2R's team works hard to find the perfect home that fits the dogs needs. Even if it means housing the dog within their personal homes until they find the prefect home. Please go into rescue knowing that the only guarantee is that with love, hard work, and communication rewards are sure to follow. I can confidently say that the Rags 2 Riches team will absolutely support you 100% through the process. During our working rescue relationship I have NEVER known them to be dishonest about behavior issues or anything else. Keep saving the fur babies!

We rescued a 10 month old German Shepherd that came up from Alabama. They had an accurate description and were honest with us on things they didn't know. For example, he had never been exposed to cats so they let us know. The staff was knowledgeable and super loving to the animals. They didn't force it if it wasn't the right match for our family. I appreciate all they are doing.

We have rescued two dogs from the rescue!!! The people really care about the pets they are placing!! Their foster program is amazing! They are a rescue that actually gets back to you. So happy I was introduced to Rags 2 Riches!! Atlas and Onyx are absolute loves!! Being apart of their alumni page is awesome because I can stay in touch with my puppies siblings owners! Such a great community to be apart of! It’s a good thing I don’t live closer… I would have a lot more dogs!

We adopted a dog at a pet adoption day in early April, We needed to treat him for worms. His coat was flaky and he scratched often. We did not have much background on him other than Chocolate Lab Mix.. found that by changing his food, his coat is great and no more scratching.. Worms was an easy treatment. He is the most playful, loving dog. We take him to a dog park all the time and everyone loves how sweet he is. He was crate trained and potty trained and aside from some boredom issues, all is great . Now if only my cats would accept him I am not commenting on anyone's experience but my own My experience with Rag 2 Riches has been very good. I would recommend this Rescue to others. I also encourage people to add them on amazon Smile

We adopted our dog here when she was about 3-4 months old. We were told she had her vet visits, UTD on shots, good with cats and dogs. The poor thing wound up having an upper respiratory infection, eye infection, giardia, and tape worms. We wound up having to treat our existing dog as well because they had been sharing water and beds, so yet another immediate expense after the adoption. She was also missing one of her shots, which should have been given for her age. Not only that but she was not good with cats, she has a high hunting drive and would chase and pounce at them. I understand she is a puppy but you can tell she has a strong pray drive already. Just because a puppy is young does not just automatically mean they are good with all other animals. $500 for a dog and it's doesn't even include a spay... Least they can do is make sure they get the necessary care they need. Be cautious about adopting here. Read reviews. Others have complained about sick dogs too.

We rescued our pup from here back in April and I couldn’t be happier! Unlike other places, rags 2 riches thoroughly checks with the potential adopters and their home situation. This goes to show how much they care about the animals that they help by making sure they enter a good home. They also provide great communication with other families that have adopted a dog from here. If I am ever looking to adopt another dog, I will surely check in with them first.

We had a great experience with Rags 2 Riches rescue. We adopted a 9 week old Pyrenees/lab mix 4 months ago, and could not be happier! She originally was from a shelter in Alabama, and she was then transported to Rags 2 Riches. This rescue is helping animals from all over the country, and I am so thankful that they were able to save my pup and her siblings. The adoption process was easy and fast, even with me being located 4 hours from Philadelphia. We were able to do a video home visit, and they contacted my veterinarian the same day I applied for the adoption. Everyone was very kind, and they had great communication with me as we were coordinating a good day/time for a meet and greet since I was coming from so far away. Like most shelter puppies, she did have some worms, and was being treated for kennel cough/URI. But given her prior history and my 18 years experience as a vet tech, I knew that this is very common and easily treated. They gave her top notch care and love, and I would recommend Rags 2 Riches to anyone who is looking to adopt a pet.

The rescue really cares about the happiness and wellbeing of the animals, and make sure that the animal will thrive with their owner. They are doing great work rescuing animals from horrible circumstances and giving them new life.

Rags 2 Riches Animal Rescue is absolutely AMAZING!!! I’ve adopted my first pup from there a couple years ago and another a few months ago. The process is simple, just apply and their team will review application and let you know if your approved to adopt. They take it very serious who dogs/pups & kittens go home to so a home check is completed. If there is ever a medical issue or concern with ur pet they will address it and if medical attention is ever needed while in Foster best believe they are being checked out at VET. R2R has made our family happy and I hope the same joy comes to yours. #RescueOn

DO NOT ADOPT through Rags2Riches Animal Rescue in Aston. I've never seen a more unprofessionally run shelter in my life. If you adopted a dog between April 25th to today, then there is a great chance your dog has Parvovirus. The owner Tish, …
