Dr. Brophy and the whole staff are super great!

I can't say enough good things about the whole staff at West Lancaster Animal Hospital. As a fear-free certified practice, they care for and respect your pets like no other vet I've ever been to and go to great lengths to make the experience a positive one for the animals. One of my dogs had such terrible anxiety that he needed to be muzzled and sedated for routine vaccines before I found West Lancaster. Within a year of Dr. Brophy and the staff working with him and earning his trust, he had zero reaction to getting vaccines. He was even recently able to get a blood draw which is unheard of - he won't even let me touch his feet! They're truly a gifted bunch. I recently moved out of the area and never thought I'd say I was going to miss a vet practice but they've set the bar so high that I'm worried no one else will ever measure up.

Very concerning and sharing of the health of your dog

My puppy has needed to come in twice this month, once from an injury, once because she ate chocolate. They were able to get her in within the hour both times and gave excellent care. Grateful to live so close to this place.

Price for dog meds really went up in price. Receptionist is very professional and pleasant. She is also very helpful

My only regret is that we didn't go to WLAH sooner!! Dr. Brophy has been amazing with even the grumpiest of our four cats. Fear-free treatment and holistic care are central in his approach for every visit. He's not only amazing with our cats, but also with us! Patiently answering every fear and question we may have. I've loved the follow-up phone appointments where I can ask anything and everything I've wanted to know about my cat's health and overall well-being, and Dr. Brophy has been there for every second of it. Also a HUGE shoutout to Kelly for frequently entertaining my many frantic concerns and questions about my cats, often on her own time and after hours. The front desk staff has also always been incredibly friendly and helpful. Truly an amazing team at WLAH. Thank you all so much!!! The bar has definitely been raised for the next practice we'll be seeing in Vermont.

They were very thorough. A bit pricey if we ask me but what isn’t anymore?

I love them so much. They have been very helpful in my journey as a dog mom. Answering any and all of my questions. Every staff member is so loving to all animals despite their size, strength and noise level.

Every single professional I have dealt with at West Lancaster Animal Hospital has been nothing but kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. I rescued two cats and they have helped me navigate their care and health. I really cannot say enough wonderful words about how much I value this Vet Hospital. They are all truly caring professionals. I am so very grateful my pets and I can rely on them.

I’m so glad I found West Lancaster Animal Hospital. Even though I could choose to go to a vet closer to my home, I’d rather drive the extra distance for the quality of care. My fur baby is diabetic and with the knowledge of Dr Brofy and staff, they have successfully assisted me in taking control of her diabetes. Thanks to this office and the information provided, my “sugar baby” is thriving because of their dedication.

Absolutely wonderful service and staff! The staff is very professional, trained and educated yet extremely caring and have a true understanding of the love between a a pet owner and there pet! I had my cat neutered, de-wormed and microchipped and was charged a very average but fair price. I was very nervous about having the procedure preformed on my kitten but the staff put my mind at ease answering any questions explaining the procedure thoroughly. The surgery went well and I picked up a very happy healthy kitty. I glad I have an opportunity to write a treat review for this animal hospital and staff! Thanks so much for being so awesome guys!! arrogant. no allowance in scheduling for acute issues during normal business hours. Always sending me and my dog off to Pet Emergency to the tune of $1600. good ridance

Thank you West Lancaster for caring so much about my beloved dog instead of writing him off because he is a pit bull (unlike another area vet did). The compassion and genuine affection for my dog here was more than a breath of fresh air. You have earned my business now and forever!

Excellent people and service. Wouldn't go anywhere else

My first visit here was during COVID and so I wasn't able to go in with my cat. Despite that, the nurses and doctor did a great job of handling my fiesty cat and were extremely communicative and willing to listen to all of my questions. They are a fear-free vet so you know your cat is in good hands. Would absolutely recommend this vet!

Came in with one of my foster puppies! The staff was amazing with both my canine and human kids! My foster got the care she desperately needed, they were so sweet and gentle with her!

Went to pick up medicine for my dog. They were very professional on the phone and I didn't have to wait long for them to put the meda out for me to get. Outstanding service ????!

They were recommended to us pretty broadly, so we tried them out with our doggy and have never looked back. Tend to be a bit pricier which, I'll admit, did almost make us consider other options, but the level of care they give is beyond a worth it. Top notch staff all around. Our dog's excitement when going to see them says it all.
