I’m done being talked down to by the staff like I’m stupid and intentionally trying to ruin their day every time I go here. Dr. Pendleton is great and always took good care of my pets but I’m done coming to a vet where the receptionists are hostile, speak rudely to me and more than once having to hear them loudly gossip and say awful things about coworkers and customers. Even asking them a question earns me rude responses. I’ll be finding a new vet.

After some years of going here we will be switching vets. Dr.P is great but the staff has always made us feel unwelcomed and has made the experience frustrating. I can't feel right about spending any more money here. Sorry.

This has been our veterinarian for many many years. Very courteous professional and very good at what they do. We will bring all our pets here

There has been to many things wrong with this place. Just don't bother. Took my cat in for constipation issues. She was healthy other than that. Within 12 hours she was dead due to poor veterinary judgement and very poor veterinary assistant. The had so much saline in her from an IV that she literally looked like a water bag when they were done. They gave her an enima when all she needed was stool softener. Worst staff ever. Had problems just making an appointment with them. All they want to do is take money out of the customers pocket. So sad.

Took several of our cats for check ups and shots. We have been going here for years.

A excellent place to take your pet

The doctor and his staff were very good in their care and handling of my pet. She was quite ill when I took her in, and a few days later she was her usual self. I can't say enough good a bout her care and handling. Several follow up calls were also made to check on her condition. Fabulous care and treatment.

I just left there, and am quite disappointed with the two female employees at the front counter. Love the doctor, but he needs a more attentive receptionist and office manager

Always friendly and care about your pet!

Very caring and great with the pets. I took my puppy in to be spayed and they had to do emergency hysterectomy. They called every 2 to 3 days for a week to check on her.

It used to be nice and hospitable. Now, it was a whole different story. The receptionists are rarely friendly, you feel like your walking into their house instead of a house. They last time i was there they WITHOUT ASKING OR SAYING what they were doing gave my dog a rabies shot when she just had one the month before. They made me pay for it and no one apologized the vet didn't even come back in to acknowledge the issue. They went from a 4 out of five to barely a one. AND. That was just the latest issue with them.

Dr. Jeff and his staff are the best.they havebeen patient ,informative and caring .have been going to them for past 20 years.

Dr Pendleton and his staff go WAY "above and beyond" in their care of our animals, and their companion people!!!! Dr P's skill and compassion is a gift.

Harrisburg Pike Animal Hospital has been my entire family's choice for vet care for over 20 years. Three generations of my family (grandma, mother, & myself) all use Dr. Pendleton for wonderful care of our dogs & cats, and his staff is always so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend their practice to anyone who is hoping to obtain care of their animals by people who treat them like they are their own pets!

I have been using Harrisburg Pike Animal Hospital for approx. 15 years. The staff is outgoing and very friendly. Dr. Pendelton is very professional and explains everything thoroughly. Kate and Jess handle my "babies" with love and kindness!

We moved to Lancaster almost 20 years ago, bringing our cat Eli which started our journey with Harrisburg Animal Hospital and Dr P. Today we have 2 shelties and have had plenty of office visits plus Jessica the manager has her own pet sitting business we we take total advantage of. It’s very comforting knowing we have such trusted people in our pups lives. Thank you all at HAH!!

This Dr. P and his staff have been so absolutely wonderful since I started taking my pets here 5 years ago. I do have a very feisty cat who, I will admit, is hard to handle at the vet, but the professionalism this team emits and their care for him has been so amazing each time, I know if I can trust them with my cat, I can trust them with all of my pets. Not to mention when our poor puppy passed away a couple of years ago, they were there through the treatments up until her passing and had done everything they could to help her. Although she didn’t make it (not their fault at all) they helped us with the grieving process and have made sure that both my husband and I were ok. I always recommend HPAH!

I have been taking my dogs to Dr Pendleton for about 20 years now. He has been amazing. He has referred my dogs to specialists when needed. My dogs also really like him. I have one large breed dog and three giant breed dogs. I have been to veterinarians who seem intimidated by large dogs, but not Dr P. He also has an enormous heart, as evidenced by the two special needs Frenchies that are the office dogs.

I love Dr. P and his staff. They really care about their patients.

I have been going to Dr. Pendleton for 20 yrs and he has always given my babies the best care and attention. For example, at one time I worked 2nd shift and our dog at the time had developed diabetes and because of this required shots several times a day. Once when she was staying at the facility, Dr. Pendleton and his staff went out of their way to keep my Boots on the same 2nd shift feeding/shots schedule so that she could maintain her blood sugar levels without disruption. If for no other reason, it was this type of care and consideration that has made us appreciate their level of dedication to their patients. Jennifer and Ted Harmes

I don't really like to be negative on here but I thought it would be worth sharing my experience at this vet because I left the office crying. My husband and I recently adopted a puppy and moved to Lancaster. When I brought my puppy into Harrisburg Pike on time for my first visit ever, I walked in and was not greeted by any staff. After filling out the required forms I was walked back to a room with my puppy and waited in that room by myself with my puppy for 40 minutes. Finally, the Dr. arrived in the room and made no eye contact with me and appeared to be very rushed. He asked if I was there before and I said no, this is my first visit. He also asked if my puppy was eating well and I said no. He offered no help in improving her eating. I told him I was concerned about my puppy's anxiety and he offered no advice but rather made me feel worse by saying "yeah most puppies are excited to see me but she is scared of the world" "she also looks awfully skinny". He also apparently took a stool sample of the poop I brought in and he said it looked fine. The next day after giving my puppy her heart guard medicine, I found worms in her stool. I brought the stool in the day after and indeed, she had worms. I was very sad and felt hopeless after my visit. I will not be returning.
