The staff is so friendly and helpful. They take great care of my cats.

Every time I visit Veterinary Care of Ithaca, I am met by pleasant people who want to do the best for my dog, Bingo. Their service is prompt, professional, courteous, and they always follow up nicely. The one thing one might ask for is not to have to pay for the service! Of course, that makes no sense and is just there as a joke. Veterinary Care of Ithaca does not charge exorbitant fees!

Dr. Hummel and the vet tech staff are the best I’ve ever experienced. As a new puppy parent I was able to ask and get all the information I needed and Dr. H was extraordinarily helpful. With covid protocols in place I still felt reassured that I was getting excellent service and Ruby would be treated by Ithaca’s finest. Also thank you for the advice on my elderly kitty and how to help a nervous cat through her hardest phase. Many thanks ????????????

These guys take good care of pets! They are thorough, listen to everything you have to say, and make good recommendations (and not excessive ones). Will definitely continue to bring my dogs here.

My cat and I received such kind and professional care at Veterinary Care of Ithaca! We are new to the area and this was our first visit. I was anxious about not being able to go in with my cat or meet the staff directly. I called in advance and spoke with Soshi and she was so supportive. That put my mind at ease. On the day of the appointment, the Vet Tech, Renee, and the Veterinarian, Dr. Tremante, were both incredibly patient and understanding. They answered all my questions and provided clear information. My cat came home as happy and loving as he was when we left. No signs of stress whatsoever. Dr. Tremante called the next morning with lab results and also emailed me more detailed information. All follow up since then has been timely, highly organized, and well communicated. What an amazing team!

We've been taking our furbabies to VCI for years. Though they may be a bit more expensive, it is well worth the excellent care and convenience. I never thought I would agree to give my lovie a dental, but VCI gave our Kitty a better quality of life on his senior years. Thank you VCI

I took my kitten here for the first time a few weeks ago. Before the appointment, they are very quick to respond and make the appointment. Try to make an appointment as soon as possible though because they seem booked often and for good reason. You are still not allowed in with your pet due to covid, you have to wait in the car and you are asked a bunch of questions by a tech. I was nervous but it was completely fine. Then during the appointment Dr. Hummel did call and update me and asked if I had more questions. They are very receptive to any questions you have. They are so nice. It was great. My kittens first appointment only took about 15 minutes. I look forward to seeing them for the years to come. I trust them with my little guy :)

So caring, so genuine, so thorough. Wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Made our pet feel so loved and cared for. Excellent, excellent, excellent vet.

This is the only place I take my two small old-ish dogs! Workers are always friendly on the phone and in person! The vets are spectacular! Prices are very very reasonable; and they give it to you straight, no hidden fees or additional charges that you weren't expecting! And they're willing to work with you! They were able to fit my dog in very short-notice. My dog had completely ripped one of his nails off. I was very scared my dog would be lame or something like that. They helped calm my fears and fixed my dog up, good as new! And his nail ended up growing back!!

What a caring, knowledgeable practice. I feel so lucky my pet is in their care. After my cat's accident, they took us on an emergency basis. The staff and doctors were compassionate and worked hard to make sure I understood my animal's health status and our options for his care. First rate. Highly recommend.

I brought my cat Ravioli in for some skin problems he was having and the staff here made me feel like he was in great hands the entire time. They were so friendly and helpful and genuinely cared about the wellbeing of Ravioli. I moved to the area recently so I'm new to the clinic and very relieved to have found such a great place I know I'll be able to rely on and trust. :-)

My first visit to the Veterinary Care of Ithaca was incredible. I’ve moved a lot and have had many vets, but this vet tops all the others. They were efficient, incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and professional. HIGHLY recommend!

April 2021, I'm adding to this post. I am very pleased we have stayed here with our dog and have created a great relationship to the vets and staff. Its great having a place that knows our dog, the attendants know who Crash is, which after a year, seems amazing. And I realize now, after a year, we do have much time with the vet which is very comforting to ask questions on things that may concern us. _____________________________________________________________________ May 2020, This is my first dog, so much of this I take the blame for, but there was not a whole picture of our dogs health. I didn't push for this information, because our dog was in pain. But talking to other dog owners, I found that there is so many healthy ways to treat your dogs. The food that was prescribed didn't have great ingredients. No techniques on how to clean the ears and eyes regularly. Afterward, I asked, if this was me, what would I do. I went online, got a lot of recommendations and will work with our dog holistically.

I trust VCI to care for my dog. The staff is kind with her and thorough and efficient when we visit, especially considering the requirements regarding Covid 19 this past year.

My cats are well maintained thanks to their skill and guidance. Friendly staff, nice facility.

Amazing staff, immaculate communication, thorough exams. I made the switch to Vet care of Ithaca from my other vet, after the wonderful experiences I had when bringing my partners animal with an unknown medical condition. I've never felt so comfortable with my vet office before. Like friends/neighbors, exactly how it should be/feel. Thank you vet care of Ithaca!

I've been taking my cats here for the past 19 years. That alone should tell you what I think of them. Animals are taken directly into exam rooms immediately after check-in. During COVID times, a vet technician will come out to the parking lot to pick up your pet and return him/her to you afterwards. The vet will talk to you by phone (during COVID only). In the exam room, cats are provided with a towel sprayed with a momcat pheromone to help them feel less stressed.???? Payment can be done from the exam room (or your car during COVID). No one likes having to put their kitty down. Vet Care of Ithaca makes it as peaceful as possible for both you and your cat, with a soft blanket or towel, dim lighting, and I think there was soft music too...After your kitty has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, they will give you as much time alone with him/her as you need. And a box of tissues. There is a separate outside door to this room so you can leave privately. ????
