Got a cat from here and he is adorable. Everyone was so nice.

Tried to bring in a sick stay animal and no one wanted to help us.. it was new years day which i get but there were people inside and when we asked a girl that came out about reallyy needing their help she was less then helpful. And seemed like she was annoyed that we asked for help.. sad seeing as this is a place that should want to help sick and stay animals..

Friendly staff and very accommodating

Staff very friendly and helpful. Dr. Noelle came out to our vehicle to explain things and was helpful and very nice. Very pleased with the service my fur baby received.

I called for an appointment and the receptionist named Shania or however you spell it immediately started talking about euthanized my dog. A receptionist who has no knowledge of vet care! All I wanted was an appointment. Then she said she was transferring me and hung up on me and I called back nonstop for 40 minutes. The only thing the person in charge had to say was "I'll see what her thinking was". A receptionist is there to make appointments and put them on the books not decide who dies and who lives. I'll sell my kidney to pay for my dogs care. They are not here to help. This girl should not be allowed to speak with people who own animals. The Humane Society should be embarrassed to have an employee who with no education deciding who gets killed. And she certainly should not be the first point of contact when scheduling an appointment if her response is euthanasia

Gave me greatly needed information

They refused to accept my dog two days before Christmas after a horrible family tragedy. Then threatened to call the authorities and filmed me without my permission.

Took dogs to shot clinic. They are very efficient and professional.

I always enjoy buying a big bag of food and dropping it off at the shelter... it's nice (if you're like me) that you can do it off outside and not have to go in cause every time I go in I adopt a new dog... I just want to adopt them all so this saves me from myself.

This facility always takes great care of our animals! My family & I have been coming to Humane Society for 20+ years, & have no complaints. They're thorough in their exams, & they always break information down for all involved to understand, & provide multiple options & services & outside resources where needed, letting the customer decide what is best for them & their loved fur baby(ies)!

My husband and I had to say goodbye to our beautiful Red nose Pitt in August of this year and weren't sure if we even wanted another dog until we saw Bluey on this site! Everyone there were wonderful and made the adoption so stress free and easy. Bluey is a big baby but he's older and has allergies that have to be taken care of but I wouldn't trade our boy for anything!!!

Been trying to adopt through them for years, have yet to get an animal, they don't pick up the phone, and they don't get back to you about an animal.

I've had nothing but good experiences with HSHA. The staff and the vet resource center have been a huge help to my pet. They really care about the animals and have good communication with you as the pet owner. I would 100% recommend adopting here and supporting the shelter.

They black listed me for saying I'm homeless and returning my beloved cat climate I didn't want to surrender him but I knew he'd have better luck elsewhere than in my car. This place is terrible.

The Humane society on Grayson Road in Harrisburg has a PET food bank for anyone struggling money wise. Sign up on their website and pick a date/time to pickup pet food.

Amazing staff and service. Treated my Baby like gold and I couldn't ask for calmer people working with an anxious GSD. God Bless!!!

These folks gave me my best friend. They were easy to work with and accommodating. The only thing I would say is they should rep their veterinary resource center. When I got my dog, I got a coupon for a free check up with veterinary center of america (a for profit business). Id gladly pay the price to use their resource center (which I did - but I had to make contact a few times before I knew it was an option.)

I have been trying for over a year to get an appointment to have three male dogs neutered so that I can keep them I have left messages I have emailed them to date no one has contacted me back. I would hate to surrender them but I have 2 female dogs and I don't want puppies. I just want them all together so they can play with eachother but I have the boys separated from the girls because I can't afford to have all the male dogs neutered by a vet and the humane society has not even attempted to assist. I am disappointed that I haven't even received a return call in over a year. No one ever answers the phone there.
