Foxfield Veterinary Services Downingtown, Pennsylvania

My cat has been real sick and they've been doing everything they can to make sure he's taken care of. They've been calling to check up on him, and the doctors have been great at conveying information to us. I'm happy to trust them with my fur baby's care.

Communication tanked during the past year. Very poor customer service. Priced out dental services and overcharged. I requested a teeth cleaning service for a large dog $350 price. On day of service, they charged $450. Added x-rays which were not needed for a cleaning of healthy teeth with a little tartar and were never priced or discussed ahead of time. When I questioned it, they put in their notes a negative comment about me and discontinued seeing my pet but never informed me until time for her medication renewal. Never had this happen before and I have heard this "overcharge" problem happened to another neighbor this past year. I realize there are challenges across the nation in 2020, but, communication is essential and their treatment of a long term customer, 5 years since birth of my dog, was uncalled for.

Dr. Riley is the best. A true champion for our dogs. She loves the work she does and you can tell when you meet her. We would not take our boys to anyone else.

After moving to Chester county and leaving a fantastic veterinary practice in Bucks county, I have done a lot of Vet hopping. My pets and I have finally found a practice that meets the standards that I came to expect from a well-run, knowledgeable, caring and correctly priced veterinary establishment that is also within a reasonable distance for me to travel.

Excellent. They got my cat in urgently, they were all so nice, the vet was thorough and really took her time making sure my guy was ok. I wouldn't consider any other vet. Very very good.

After moving away from my old vet, I decided to give Foxfield a try and I'm so happy I did! My dog Jet is super shy. She just had her first visit for a physical and bordatella. Dr. Matt and Nancy were fantastic! It was super sweet the way they handled her. They took their time to find out about her needs and really respected her 'freeze' response. She needs special medication which they did not have but they ordered it really fast! The office called the next day to check on her after her first visit which was a really nice touch. I can't recommend them enough!

We love Foxfield!! They have treated my babies as lovingly as they would treat their own!! My pup used to have so much fear going to the vet. Now he’s excited to go!! You can easily tell the difference here!!

I called late in the day in hopes they could help my cat with an emergency situation. I dropped him off and they saw him between appointments. They even worked with my cat's previous vet to get records.

Absolutely an amazing practice overall! The doctors are always very helpful and respond quickly to questions. We never have any trouble getting an appointment and all of the staff is extremely kind and helpful! We’ve had great experiences with Dr. Riley, Dr. Tony and Dr. April!

They got me in next day when I called right before closing when my Bengal had a dental emergency and I hadn't realized my previous vet closed permanently. They were very welcoming and friendly. Now she's back to her usual self! So thankful!!

Although I have a regular vet, I went to Foxfield on a referral for surgery on my dog's knee. Dr. Rodriguez performs orthopedic surgery and this was not available at my primary vet's office. Dr. "Tony" did an excellent job with the surgery and also found that my dog had lymphoma on her tongue when he was intubating her, allowing me to pursue chemo. My dog was doing great for about 6-7 months, and I was very pleased with my experience. However, two weeks ago my dog stepped into a hole while going to the bathroom and twisted the leg she had surgery on. She "screamed" in pain and would not walk. My daughter carried her into the house where she laid in the foyer (we have a large number of steps leading into the main living area), shaking in pain, whimpering and holding her leg out. I called Foxfield in a panic, thinking she had reinjured her surgical leg- and a very blase receptionist listened to what was going on and then said, "well, I guess I can leave a message for Dr. Tony". I was outraged and re-explained that she was not walking and we could not get her into the house (she weighs almost 70 lbs) and let her know I was worried about her having damaged the leg that had surgery. She then said, "well, you could drop her off and we could try to get her in between appointments, but we're booked so I can't guarantee anything". I could not believe how downplayed this was, the lackadaisical tone being used, the zero concern, so I abruptly said I would call another vet and hung up. My primary vet got me in within the hour. They took x-rays and said they weren't orthopedists, so they would send the results to Dr. Tony to make sure nothing was out of place with the hardware, etc. Dr. Tony's response to my vet was that since he "hadn't seen the dog in 6 months, he would not be responding". He ignored future calls and requests from my primary vet. I cannot believe the lack of compassion, accountability and professionalism this man/business had displayed. It was HIS surgery, even people specialists respond to follow up requests on prior surgeries. I am giving this 2 stars instead of 1 only because the initial experience was good. I guess there wasn't any more money to be made, and there you go.

We are new to their office. They saw is asap for our kittens emergency. Dr Tony did a great job removing a fish hook from our kittens toe and knee. I would highly recommend this office. Couldn't be happier with their care and the timely manner they completed it in!!!

Foxfiled Veterinary Services is fantastic! They have taken great care of our cats. The veterinarians are through, thoughtful and careful. The staff is responsible, helpful and polite. Overall, rheir costs are reasonable and they clearly explain what's involved and expected. No surprise bills. We recently moved to the area and have taken our cats there for physicals and for urgent sick visit. Phenomenal care in both situations. Separately, they were also incredibly kind and helpful when we had to board our cats overnight last minute due to an emergency. If you're in the Downingtown/Exton area and need a vet, look no further. This is the place.

I recently switched to Foxfield and wow I can’t say enough good things about them. They have been so amazing, caring and accommodating. The office staff and vet techs are very friendly and knowledgeable. The Veterinarians have been amazing and you can tell they really care about your pet. It’s so nice to be able to talk to the vet on the phone to discuss my dog’s care since Covid has changed things so much. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Dr Riley and Kyle of Foxfield Veterinary came to our house for our 15yo beloved dog and was so sweet and empathetic. She encouraged each family member to have some alone time with our dog and made sure we were each in as good of a place as possible to let go. It was a most beautiful, tear-filled evening and our children learned how to send off a "family member" with love and gratitude. This showed us what Foxfield is all about and after using other vets in the area for years finally found the one for us.

They came and got my cats treated them and brought them back out. I miss that friendly contact that Covid took away.

We really love them all here. The covid restrictions are totally annoying with the parking lot type pot deal transactions but that’s life. The doctors are really genuine and you can tell they really care about our fur baby. And that means EVERYTHING to us. We highly recommend this as your only stop for veterenary care for your babies.

Dr. April & Tony Rodriguez, Dr. Riley, and the rest of the team always take such amazing care of our fur babies. One of our dogs needed some care today and they quickly came to our rescue, walking us through what we needed to do for him via email attachments and on the phone. Then when it came time to pick up supplies from their office, I was able to get everything we needed as safely as possible. From routine visits to bigger procedures, they're there when we need them and love our fur family as much as we do. You can trust them to make the right decisions. So relieved and thankful. ????❤️ (On a separate occasion, Dr. Tony improved the quality of one of our dog's life with a pro-stride treatment. It's a relatively new treatment for dogs but he believed in it. No words can describe seeing our dog going up the stairs, sleeping in our bed, and playing fetch again.)

Quality service. When all the other veterinary clinics are closed, have no doctors on staff, have bad reputations or are booked up for the next 3 weeks.. these guys got me in same day, checked out my wheelchair dog and came to some helpful conclusions an a matter of a few hours. Pricing was fair and the entire staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Hopefully not anytime soon, but this is where I’ll be coming for future veterinary needs.

Truly the best! Always kind and attentive to our furbabies whether it is routine appointments or emergencies.
