This isn't our normal vets office but we needed to find someone who treated guinea pigs and came across this office. We were very impressed with this office and staff! From the moment we walked in the door they were great! Highly recommend.

Took my 9 year old’s Chinchila for the first time and had a great experience. From the phone call to set the appointment, to the welcome/check in to the visit/conversation with the doctor, all the way to check out. Great service overall!

Wonderful and caring team! Beautiful hospital with up to date diagnostics and services. Couldn’t be happier with the extra care and attention my older cat received. Thanks so much!

This practice has the most up-to-date equipment that minimizes length of recovery and pain to pets. Amazing that it’s in a small town. Lasers for surgery and ultrasound equipment for quick diagnostics. No guesswork. Compassionate staff—just meet Bonnie!

My wife and I have had two negative experiences at Back Mountain Vets. First, about a year ago, we had one of our cats in to have a tooth pulled. Dr. Phillips brought the cat out to go home and said to feed him soft food for two weeks then come back for a free radiograph (x-ray). When I brought the cat back in for a recheck, I found out that Dr. Phillips had broken his jaw removing the tooth and never said anything to me, but offered a free radiograph on his recheck. Then, last week we had our dog in for a dental. Dr. Phillips called my wife 2 hours after dropping him off, saying our dogs heart stopped while he was on the table for his neuter. She was very upset and gave me the phone. Dr. Phillips repeated his message. I told him that our dog was there for a DENTAL not to be NEUTERED (as he is already neutered). Dr. Phillips then hesitated and said that during the excitement, he grabbed the wrong chart. The Dr. should be under control and calm, especially when giving out the correct information to the right family over the phone! My wife was upset for hours and wanted us to go make sure that the dog was Okay.. Dr. Phillips should have used the money that he spent on his new building for more medical knowledge and improving his own people skills and bedside manner... I am absolutely disgusted with the UNPROFESSIONAL and neglectful care my pets have recieved under Dr. Phillips and am immediately seeking veterinary care elsewhere.

I do not believe the front desk staff and doctors communicate with each other, at all. We had a very difficult time receiving accurate information on more than one occasion. Our nurse was very sweet and helpful but our doctor was arrogant throughout the appointment. I would not recommend.

High priced! Unprofessional management team. They take advantage of the fact that we care for our pets and charge $hundreds for their safety and health. I’m disgusted with this place. I would never recommend this to my worse enemy. Their are other caring Veternarian clinics who show they care.

Love love love this place and it’s the only vet I will go to and the only vet I will trust they explain everything to you and help you understand what everything is and the reason why and everytime my dogs had a problem they always know exactly what to do

Dr. Brooks is my favorite… She is so patient and kind with my very feisty cat… Their new state of the art facility is beautiful… They seem to be always on the Cutting edge of the newest treatments❤️????

The staff is absolutely wonderful. They are friendly, they care about your pet, treat you very well and will listen to your concerns. The new building they are in is state of the art and Snoopy felt very calm there. They will give you options on how to treat your pet and leave it up to you on what you want to do. No pressure and no sales. I would recommend them to anyone.

I’ve been at the office many times recently with a few new pets and a few sick pets! Everyone there is wonderful! The staff is so empathetic and compassionate. Everything is full explained in a way that is easy to understand. I feel that my pets are #1 always. I leave with all of my questions answered. Thank you for taking care of our mini zoo!!

I was appalled at the rude and patronizing conduct I received from the receptionist when I called. I had a very sick cat with respiratory problems. I was advised to take him somewhere else . No discussion with the doctor. Her conduct was rude and dismissive. Very arrogant! I am an RN so I understand wheezing, lethargy, not eating and congestion. Yet this receptionist was so nasty and dismissive and clearly felt she could diagnose the seriousness of my cats condition that she refused to involve the doctor. This is not the quality of care I expect no tidbit best practice. I will no longer ring my pets to this facility snd I want the owners to be aware of a “ major problem” in the reception area where patients first impression takes place. Very dangerous !!!!

I own a ferret(s) and I highly recommend them for your exotic as well, as not many places take them. Very nice people, and have a good understanding of them, as not many vets do.

I went there with my sons guinea pig the other day and the staff and doctor were very good and very professional. I wasn't charged for unnecessary things, and she explained to me exactly what the little guy needed to be healthy. I would definitely go back with one of my small animals in the future, and definitely recommend them.

Appointment mistakes, cancelation after cancelation, very frustrating. Pricing is fair but beware if you have a dog that acts alive and not comatose.

Won't allow me in with my sick puppy, yet liquor stores are open and allow people in, so they can get intoxicated, and my puppy needs medical attention and I am not allowed in, is this logical,?????!°!!!!

Dr. Morris and Dr. Phillips were absolutely wonderful with Phinnaeus, as were the techs! Phinnaeus was very nervous considering he suddenly couldn’t see well. Dr. Morris took her time and gave Phinnaeus the attention he needed and suggested tests and procedures that matched my budget. Thank you from us both!! ♥️????
