Our 5yr old German Shepherd had an acute weight loss. The front desk staff was attentive to get our girl in to be seen asap. So far testing has been negative. Everything was explained in detail so that we understood the results and the plan. We have used Ardmore Animal Hospital for over 30 years.

Ardmore Animal Hospital provided excellent care to my dog and the vet had helpful information for my pet in his senior years. She informed of the products available for his flea/tick maintenance. It would be helpful to provide payment information prior to the appointment. The amount was higher than I expected, but other than this, the place is a great place to take your animal for their medical needs.

We recently moved to Ardmore, and decided to use this place as our cat's new vet. We are not going back. Our cat Lincoln was quite old, and over the past year or so we had noticed he was drinking a lot more, eating less, and was increasingly lethargic. We expressed these concerns to the technician when we brought Lincoln in for his annual checkup. The hospital's evaluation found that he had lost a couple of pounds but was otherwise in fine health. A stool test performed by the hospital was inconclusive. Sixteen days later, we woke and found Lincoln in obvious pain, straining to urinate, and peeing on the floor, which was something he didn't do. The Ardmore Animal Hospital couldn't initially see him, and then gave away an emergency appointment to someone else. We took him to BluePearl Specialty emergency pet hospital instead. BluePearl immediately diagnosed Lincoln with a massive bladder tumor that had completely blocked his ability to urinate. And without any reasonable treatment options, we had our pet cat put down about an hour later. I don't blame the Ardmore Animal Hospital for the cat's death. A bladder tumor is not something a cat is going to survive. But what is upsetting is that because I believe they failed to catch this tumor, we couldn't prepare the children for their pets passing. It was shocking to us and devastating to them.

I was a little nervous about leaving Pepper. He had not been away from me other than during day. . FROM the moment we walked in the door I felt he would be ok. Everyone was warm and you can tell they are people who love animals. While I was away it was noticed he was having a little issue and took care of him. I lost 2 of my babies and Oepper is my last ao I am very protective of my 11 year old. I recommend Ardmore Veterinary to all who are in need of good care for their fur baby.

Over 15 years of my experience, all staff at this veterinary establishment are/ were competent, friendly and totally focused on my my two cats' health. Let's face it, if you want a pet, you need to budget for good health care. At Ardmore Animal Hospital, you get the best care at a fair price. Highly recommended!!!

We had to put our 7 year old sweet cat down this past weekend due to a possible congenital kidney issue that this practice never caught. A simple blood test would have possibly caught it earlier and he could have had treatment to extend his life. I was always told the $300 blood work wasn’t deemed necessary because he always “looked great “. Now I am concerned about my 13 year old dog and other cat. To add insult to injury, when I called and told the receptionist that we lost our cat over the weekend and I needed all the medical records, the only response I got was “do you want them emailed?” No “I’m sorry” or anything resembling compassion. Stay away from this place if you love your pets and consider them family. This place does not and it operates as a money making business, not a healing facility. Disgusting.

Unless you want your pet to suddenly die, dont take them here. They will send your 4 legged child home tell you everything is good until you learn they had a chronic condition that your furry family member is on the brink of death in the matter of a day. Told my mom for years to go elsewhere. We have an oversized cat, an undersized one, and a neurotic dog. None of which have been properly cared for to help and now the extra skinny one, we took twice this yr to see why its happening, is at another animal hospital with kidney failure. Looked it up and these guys never ran the proper tests! This couldve been found out YEARS ago when they learned of his love for water and prevented as hes still a young cat and thats an early sign. Cried all night so thanks ardmore for charging a ton to never actually help peoples furry loved ones! Now we gota take the huge cat elsewhere to find out why her stomach still hasnt stopped growing & praying he pulls thru so we can get 2 more yrs with him… Update: hes gone now, hes been sick for a while and was overlooked by this place always saying to just change food instead of running proper tests. He was too far gone there was nothing else to do after more tests were run today and we had to make that hard decision to put him down after being totally onboard for treatment if there was the possibility. I fully feel if he went 7 yrs untreated his life couldve doubled if he were & if these “vets” knew how to do their job

I have been taking my two cats to Ardmore Animal Hospital for few years now and we have been provided excellent service! I find the staff very professional and empathetic. Both my cats had invasive oral surgery at the hospital and I was provided detailed information about the procedure, the impact on the cats during and after the surgery, and the staff did their best to assuage my anxiety.

I've been dealing with Ardmore Animal Hospital for many years, and recommend them highly. The doctors are all superbly knowledgeable and, like the technicians and office staff, genuinely caring individuals. The facility may not be the least expensive one in the area, but the quality of care one's pets receive justifies the costs.

I have been a client since the later 80’s. They have been invaluable to me, helping me care for my beloved doggies. They care and it’s obvious EVERY time you call on them. All my dogs LOVE going there which is a great comfort and makes things so much easier. The BEST, simply a fact.

Good COVID protocol--text for carside service, instructions are clearly posted in the parking lot. Always high quality, compassionate care. A little on the pricey side.

The medical staff is very pleasant and professional. Based on our existence, they'll take good care of your pet. Working around the restrictions required by the pandemic means your vehicle is the waiting room. Text or call you alert your arrival and wait for them to come out and get you pet. Let them know where you parked in their poor and that make and color of your car

We went to Ardmore Animal hospital for years and were so well cared for! We have 6 cats and they eventually offered home visits for well checks, which saved our cats so much stress! The vets here were great with reasonable and conservative recommendations. Of all the urgent needs we had, there was only one time when I needed a cat seen on the same day and they called to say their X-ray was down and we would have to go to urgent care. Miss and highly recommend this practice!

We have been taking our corgi here since 2013, and they are fantastic. Even after moving out of the Ardmore area, we continue to take him here because of the friendly staff, amazing techs and vets, and just overall care. Definitely recommend them!

Very nice front desk staff. Vets seem knowledgeable and kind. A little pricey but not too bad. I would recommend them. We have brought our dog and cats there and they have been well taken care of.

If I could have given a lesser review I would have! We hired Brie a technician at AAH to stay overnight in our home with our cat over the holidays. I left specific instructions and times to feed and a lovely room for her to stay in. Just a few ground rules, such as your boyfriend can't stay over ignored. The times to feed our cat, ignored. Hang out with him a little while as he eats, ignored. The amount to feed our cat ignored! Our cat is on a medically prescribed diet and is supposed to eat 4 cans of the food per day. We came early because we could hear the cat crying via our ring door bell, it was so upsetting. But we were also able to see times Brie entered the house and left. Lastly, I left out the exact number of cans our cat needed to eat. Brie only fed him 4 cans of the 12 she should have! Cruelty beyond belief! I have the photos to prove it! I texted Brie to check and she responded " I am an animal technician and will let you know if there are any problems"! Well, I don't care what you are, I am paying you to stay in my home and care for my cat, provide updates! Ardmore Animal Hospital recommended Brie, she is after all one of their employees, to stay in our home to care for our cat she is a monster. I cannot stress strongly enough to avoid this place at all costs!

I was nervous about going here for the first time with my dog due to some of the negative reviews. The staff seemed very nice and understanding of my dog that is scared easily. I will note we waited in the parking lot for almost an hour after our appointment time for her to go in, this is probably due to covid protocols making things a bit long. But better safe than sorry. The prices seemed a bit high but I honestly think they are in line with other mainline vets. I left with a $380 bill for a blood test, another type of test, two vaccines and 2 full bottles of pills, after doing some research on the internet all the prices seemed like adverage. The vet we spoke with was very nice and honest about what she thought was needed and what was considered a bit above and beyond (not 100% crucial). She then let me make the decision and didnt pressure me which was great. She always asked before something was done to make sure I was okay with it. The one thing she wasn't sure about was physical therapy after surgery, so she gave us the names of other places to go nearby. I would definitely go here again. Not totally sure what some of the bad reviews were about. Vet services everywhere are expensive but at least I felt this place was honest, professional and did not pressure me into anything.

I had a good experience here. First time customer bringing my two senior cats who very upset about going, I felt terrible stressing them out like that. Some of the low star reviews had me worried, but they weren't pushy with extra services like others have said. They mainly made me aware of them and I didn't feel judged for turning them down. I waited a little longer than anticipated, and I didn't feel great about just handing them off and not going inside with them, but it seemed busy and it's COVID times so I can't hold anything like that against them, and no one else should either. The doctor was very professional, cordial, and was just overall pleasant to talk to. I felt better and way less stressed about leaving them after talking to her. I knew my cats were in good hands. The other technicians I spoke with and handed the cats off to were also very professional and kind. I will be going back.

My family has taken our dog here for 17 years, his entire life. In the more recent years, AAH has become more concerned about making a profit and less compassionate towards our dog. I understand the need to make a profit, but at the same time, the staff should not be working at a veterinarian hospital, if they cannot be compassionate towards the pets and their families. Our blind and deaf dog needed an appointment ASAP, but not only were they uncommunicative about making an appointment, we had to wait a couple months for an appointment to open up. I understand it being a difficult time with Covid, but with a disabled, senior dog that was going there for 17.5 years, one would think they would prioritize differently. After his appointment scheduling, they wanted us to bring him for another appointment for unnecessary blood work. This was unnecessary as he was 17 years old (was going to pass away in a couple months anyway), but also, he hated going in the car due to him being blind and deaf. We found it concerning that they could not understand this, and that they were just trying to milk our money. When a family has to make the difficult decision to put down a family pet that has been with them for 17 years, of course, they would all want to be with their pet in his last moments. However, apparently (according to the staff), they only allow two people in the room with the pet as he or she is put down. When it was time to put down our family dog, we went to a different vet (who were not only more compassionate, but also let us all be in the more with our beloved dog). In addition, the other vet hospital gave us a free plaque with our dogs paw and name in memoriam. We thought this was so kind and a lot of vet places do this, but not AAH. Recently we got a sympathy card in the mail from AAH about our dog (which we appreciated), and they spelled his name wrong :/. He went there for 17 years, but they couldn't even verify on his records that his name was spelled correctly on the card. Frankly, after 17.5 years, we are hugely disappointed with AAH. We will not ever again bring any of our pets there, and will never ever recommend the place to anyone. Not only was this place not compassionate towards our blind, deaf senior dog, they consistently tried to milk our money after us being with them for several years. We recommend that AAH re-examine their current priorities as an animal hospital.

Been here twice now. Lauren was exceptionally rude and I was almost not able to book an appointment. Will take my business elsewhere next time.
