Sniff Dog Hotel Portland, Oregon

I'd let my dog play in traffic before I would ever send him back to this worthless place. This daycare is awful and the owner is useless. If you hate your dog this place will be great for you.

I just went there to pick up my dog from daycare service, and the person at the counter told me that someone already picked her up. I told her that i didnt pick her up, but she was keep saying that someone already picked her up. Fortunately, my dog was still there. She didnt apologize at all. They need a better, secure system. Will rather go to Beaverton place.

Great staff. Took two puppies here for their day care to help with socialization.

We love sniff! Nursery and middle school training has done wonders for their manners and socialization.

Great care given and good communication

We left our 4 month old puppy here for almost a week and she somehow came back potty trained! 10s, 10s, 10s across the board. She had a great time and seemed super happy when we picked her up. We got one update at the beginning of the week, but more communication (maybe a couple pictures and quick summary a day) would have been the icing on the cake. We will absolutely be repeat customers.

i have a friend who takes their dogs here every time they leave town, i have witnessed attacks and heard from multiple other dog owners about attacks. not only that but for days after i took my dog home he was not acting himself. i feel they do not treat their dogs with respect in anyway and this needs to be brought to attention.

I boarded my puppy at Sniff for a few days, during some last-minute maintenance on my apartment. It was a great experience! Very thoughtful staff, and I appreciated how clean the building overall was. My puppy is a herding breed, and they did a great job tiring her out during her stay, as well! The photos they sent from playtime were adorable. Would happily board my pup here again.

I give Sniff Hotel 5 stars. They took amazing care of our two pups. One 10 and one 6 months. I could not have been happier when I picked them up! Great staff , loving and attentive on their 10 day boarding with extras! Definitely recommend them!

We have used Sniff Hotel for several boarding sessions over the last several months and have no issues. We enjoy being able to see our dog on the cameras in the play rooms. We also appreciate that they are rotated between play groups and rest time so they don't get overly stimulated. My only downside would be that since they are located downtown they don't get outside time unless you pay for it. With that being said, it was nice knowing during the heat waves that the dogs were inside with AC so I could have peace of mind.

We have taken our dog here twice for boarding and could not be more impressed with the service! They do a great job and everyone seems to know all of the dogs that stay or show up for day care. It’s easy to see that the staff genuinely care for the dogs that come in. We are a customer for life!

I wanted to like sniff. I really did. But the customer service is bad, they never answer their phone, and they are a complete rip off. Their "full day" daycare is two four hour sessions, and the rest of the time the dog is alone in kennel. Is six hours of my dog being alone in a cage justified by four hours of play? No, I don't think so. And I'm not going to pay almost $40 so that my dog can be locked up all day. After a year of being a sniff customer, no more. There are plenty of other day cares with good customer service available that don't stick their customers in a cage all day.

Sniff Dog Hotel is the only place I trust to watch my dog while I’m out of town. The staff is so friendly and helpful! Both the Beaverton and Portland locations are excellent - very clean and spacious!

I recently wrote a 1 star review of Sniff Dog Hotel. After I wrote the review the manager Marissa reached out to me regarding my experience. She wanted to make it right and went to all lengths to do so. I honestly didn't think I was going to go back and tried to find other options for 9 days that I needed my dog watched. After not having any luck I decided to give Sniff another chance. It was a completely different expereince. Constant communication and I had no doubt my dog was in good hands. It was really refreshing to see someone care so much about changing my experience. They killed it. I'd have no concerns about dropping my dog off again for any amount of time. Thank you!

Took my pup here and the front desk was so smug and rude. I will not be coming back

Great place for dogs to go when going out of town

Sniff is the only place my little guy stays at when we go out of town. He has some special needs and they are so beyond patient with him. I put him in the suite with the webcam if it's available and one time when he was being picked up it was taking a little long. My husband checked the webcam and saw that our pup didn't want to leave and was moving his head to avoid getting his leash/collar put back on LOL. The staff person just let our dog adjust on his own time and got him all set to go after a few minutes. I feel so much less guilty about traveling and leaving my baby behind knowing he is being taken very good care of at Sniff!

I have clients that send their 2 pups here for daycare. I have dropped them off and picked them up. The staff is very professional and friendly. They both seem very happy to spend the day there.

Good place to take your dog for a day or a few days very clean and super friendly staff and management

I adopted a puppy during the pandemic and, with work from home and everyday life, I found raising her more challenging than I could have ever expected. Sniff’s nursery school and middle school were a godsend. Essentially their excellent trainers help you raise your pup, teaching and reinforcing behaviors that you can then build upon yourself. They’re really conscientious of play styles and personalities, helping your pup develop skills to engage (and disengage) when playing with other dogs properly and positively. Agility is part of middle school and has been an excellent outlet for my pup, too — I get these great report cards with photos and videos so I can appreciate how much she enjoys the equipment. It’s also convenient to add in a grooming appointment while she’s already there. Every time I email or call about booking and scheduling, they are helpful, responsive and detail-oriented. The head trainer, Reid, is thoughtful, supportive and a great coach for us humans.

My dog loves staying here when I'm out of town. She literally pulls me to their front door as soon as she realizes that's where we are heading. They take such good care of her and I can rest assured she is in good hands when I have to leave town.

Very frustrating experience with the staff (Jessica). We had to cancel our future reservations because everything about this place was confusing, frustrating and sketchy. Oh, and they also charged us more than we agreed upon on the phone.

After multiple horrendous interactions with staff members, my dog was returned to me with kennel cough, mouth sores, and was ravenously thirsty. I wouldn't trust a pet rock to Sniff.
