It was our first visit. We drove over an hour to have our Golden Retriever treated. They were great. They treated him like a king, explained everything to use, and gave us all the treatment options before we discussed treatment. Very happy with the outcome.

The appointment went very smoothly and they were very complimentary regarding my dog's behavior. They didn't rush into a new treatment regime but asked to wait and see how he did on this course of action.

Last resort for my dog. They are helping her skin issues. Only thing is they are far away from home.

I live in Washington State and called every dermatologist here and no one could get my dog in till December or early next yr. I explained my situation and the importance or getting my dog in so she could get the clearance from dermatologist to get the surgery she needs on both elbows. I was called back a few hrs later with a cancelation which meant they could get my dog in later that week. The staff, especially the doctors have been more then accommodating and very attentive to all my needs. By far this is the best animal clinic I've been too. Thank you to all the staff for treating my Mia so special!

Very knowledgeable and kind. Gave me estimates and different options for different financial abilities. They were supportive of my decision to treat the symptoms rather than doing imuno therapy. I really appreciate not being shamed like other vets I have visited in the past.

Very experienced. The vet immediately knew how wrong and what was wrong; i will be able to get her to a surgeon promptly to get it dealt with.

I am really a fan of dr Cathreine Milley, she transformed my dog, his hair was falling out And his skin was looking like an elephant hide, he was so itchy. Her clear direction and communication healed my guy now he’s happy again! I would recommend her highly!

After 18 months at Banfield and three incompetent providers, more than $1500 they finally could admit they couldn't figure out an ear infection. Took my dog here and could tell they knew what they were doing. Got the culture back and it was yeast the whole time. Banfield never bother to look much into this and they got the answer in less then ten days. Dog is doing so much better and at less then two weeks and less then half the price. I will discontinue business at Banfield after his soon to be last appointment and go with a real veterinarian clinic and if any ear issues occur again I know the experts in town to go to.

Amazing customer service. Catherine Milley is so patient with all your questions and knowledgeable. We've seen improvement and got answers you just can't get at the regular vet.

Because our local GP veterinarian was unable to diagnose our cat’s serious skin condition we were referred to Portland’s Animal Dermatology Clinic on SE 82nd Avenue. We couldn’t get an appointment for several weeks. The examination confirmed a serious condition; a number of biopsies and skin samples were taken for subcontracting to identify the cause. A tentative follow-up appointment was made. Because of the pandemic and the holidays, it took a long time to get results. Meanwhile, the dermatologist prescribed an antibiotic and a steroid and the cat’s condition slowly improved. Weeks later the dermatologist advised us of the test results (an autoimmune condition called pemphigus foliaceus) and told us to continue the steroid and antibiotic while waiting more weeks for the previously scheduled follow-up appointment (when the next phase of her treatment would be started). SO FAR SO GOOD. The GP vet couldn’t determine or treat the cat’s problem and referred us to a specialist. The specialist prescribed interim treatment that seemed to work, determined the cause of the problem, and planned to initiate further action. The cat continued to slowly improve. THEN POOR. Then, a week before the follow-on appointment, the cat had a flare-up: the skin condition returned very, very quickly. She had inflamed skin, began to break out, formed crusty pustules and became reclusive. We contacted the dermatologist and asked for help. We pointed out that our cat was again suffering, was deteriorating and could they do anything for her? The answer was “No;” wait the 5 days for the appointment and if really concerned then take the cat back to the GP vet (who already couldn’t help) or to an emergency room (which wouldn’t have access to records, test results, etc.). Meanwhile, the cat’s flare-up worsened significantly, returning her to the pre-treatment condition. We found a second dermatologist who saw our cat immediately, confirmed the first dermatologist’s diagnosis and immediately started the next phase. We don’t question the Animal Dermatology Clinic’s competence. They apparently made the right diagnosis and initiated the appropriate temporary treatments. Our frustration, and anger, arises from the lack of concern. Why did they let the animal suffer? Was it for convenience? Was it “just policy?” Whatever the cause, it was unsatisfactory. We understand the impact of the pandemic; we are all suffering from it in many ways. We truly appreciate the risks taken and the sacrifices made by all of our healthcare professionals but we won’t go back to that clinic and think that anyone considering it should be aware of this situation.

Great vet tech and doctor, they have fear free practices, which you need sometimes when you rescue a dog who has not had a happy life before you get them and they don't trust easily. Would highly recommend this dermatology clinic.

They helped our dog be his old self. We now give him an occasional shot of allergy serum and he doesn't itch. It's been a game changer.

I was so pleased with my visit! My dog had been having skin issues for almost a year, even under her Vet's care. The front staff was friendly and helpful. The doctor came in and spent, easily, 30 minutes with Tessa and me. She was good with my dog and didn't stress her out at all. I appreciate that! She was thorough and answered all my questions. The therapy she put Tessa on is working great! Back to having a happy, spunky, clear-skinned dog. Thank you!

They did help my dog. My visit cost $94.00?? But we would always leave with $380.00??. More then two times. Its. Expensive. Dr. Bourgeois has a lot of knowledge. Staff is very niece. Wish it was closer to me.

So far we've been impressed! My poor itchy dog is 2 years old with constant ear infections. They detected an infection, and a yeast problem. The clinic is great, she has been treated, and we have a plan! Which is such a relief to my dog, and myself! Wonderful and caring staff!
