Found an injured falcon on a Saturday and couldn't get a hold of fish and game. Dr Norman had me bring it in for them to treat and get it to fish and game! Truly a vet that cares about all animals. However, my cat that has just a broken leg died under anesthesia... and I've requested my pets records multiple times since being notified that they're closing and have never once received a response. I've called and emailed per their instructions. I need their records for their new vet and to get them licensed via the police department. No responses whatsoever.

Called looking for veterinary care for my skunk, and got a rude argumentive shut down instead consisting of "illegal to own a skunk, so we don't see them." I tried to explain I have a permit from Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and she didn't even want to hear me, she shut me down with same comment. Not all animals are illegal across the board! Some require permits! My skunk has had been desprayed, neutered, has had ongoing vaccinations, microchip, .... and all was not done overnight by black market vets!! His misfortune is that we have relocated to an area of Oregon that is ignorant.

I brought my Savannah cat here to get him checked up and simply because he was a little skittish and frightened of the new environment, they refused to even handle him or examine him in any way. They made me put him on the scale and read his weight. Even though he wasn’t attacking anyone or even being that unruly, they insisted on giving him a load of sedatives to do basic tests and then they still wanted to put an anesthetic mask on him. They seemed impatient and spooked by my cat’s behavior... you would think that as trained professionals, they would be adjusted to animals that don’t want to be there and they would know how to better deal with animals that are having emotional reactions to the new space, especially ones that aren’t very big, like my cat. Despite the big price tag, they also didn’t do routine vet upkeep like trimming his nails while he was sedated. They still charged me for a physical exam, even though they ended up only doing half of it. Their knowledge of any hybrid breeds was poor at the least, despite them being legal in the state. Communication of results was also mediocre, they didn’t even call back my contact number that I listed on the vet intake form, and called my friend instead. Would not recommend for anyone with exotic pets or pets that have anxiety about going to the vet.

Dr Norman is pretty awesome. I moved from Ontario 6 years ago and make the trip for vet care because I trust her. Her vet techs are always so helpful and very nice. Thank you OAH staff and Dr Norman!

The vet and assistants are great. The older lady at the front desk is rude and snippy towards customers. Both in person and over the phone. Other that that great service!

Tonight we lost our bunny due to I'm thinking Flystrike, as she was showing the symptoms of this. Since it was after hours, we got ahold of the emergency number operator & they took my name & number & would call back. After a long wait, they called back, but only to tell us it would be up to 300 dollars added to the balance of the bill. We said no problem, as our bunny was more then a pet to us, she was family. After anther long wait, the operator called us & told us the doctor refused to see us & we needed to come in tomorrow morning when the place opened at 9 am. WTH? I'm sure the vet probably wouldn't be able to do anything for her, as the flystrike symptoms appeared to be too severe, but to leave her/us out to dry like this is totally uncalled for! I love that a vet can't take time out of their day especially after business hours are over to help their neighbors treat their animals. Isn't this why we have vets in the first place?! Unfortunately, Ontario doesn't have a small pet like rabbits or guinea pigs other then this person, so there is no where else we can take our beloved furry family members when they are sick & are in dire need of help. Shame on you, Ontario Animal Hospital.

Dr Norman and her staff were kind, through, and easy to talk to. They answered all my questions and I didn't feel judged for what I didn't know. They took care of my 11w/o pup as if she were their own.

I wish I could give this place a 0 star rating. After they gave my reptile medications they told me he will get better in a few months. Today I had to bury my best friend. I called them a few times and no call back. I called today before he passed because he was sick they said they could see him Monday but I said he won't make it till then so the receptionist said she would leave a message for the vet to call me after her appointments today and still no call back... I have not recieved any calls....its hard to help my pet when I can't even get a call back... Now he is gone...

I'll know more after my pup gets his haircut after the 8th! So for now, I give it a 4 star instead of 5 star! My pup is going to be groomed here!

Severely disappointed. I put my dog down here about 4 weeks ago. I went in Friday with my little fur baby kitty with eyes crusty and leaking out of her kitty parts. The doctor was extremely rude she didn't want to listen to me and then charged me 45 dollars to tell me its 120 for antibiotics or 270 for some scans and antibiotics for a upper respiratory infection. I didn't think this was right so I left and payed their 45 dollar exam fee. Went to weiser vet and the doctor examed her and with in minutes knew for a fact it was a pyometra infection of the uterus and it was about to kill her with 24-48 hours had they not done emergency spay surgery to remove her HUMAN SIZED UTERUS, that Ontario animal hospital said was a respitory infection. Obviously Ontario only wants to put my animals down.

We were in Ontario looking for property to buy. We were across the street looking at a home when one of our puppies came rut into the house. We knew something was wrong because we left them in the truck. They had rolled the window down and our baby Blue jumped out the window and was hit by a truck passing by. He was laying in the driveway. The realtor immediately started calling vets. Everyone was closed even Ontario Vet. Our realtor Called Dr. Erin and before we knew it she was pulling into the driveway. We explained what happened and we entool Blue inside. She took blood, x-rays and examined Blue. We started saying prayers over Blue immediately and asked friends to also. Dr. Erin kept us informed all along the process. She was gentle with Blue and us. We were a mess. We had Blue since he was 5 weeks old and considered him our baby. She was finally able to tell us that of course he was bruised badly and would be sore for awhile there were no broken bones or damaged to any organs. Praise the Lord. His bladder was hit hard and he was having blood in his urine but that would go away. Thank You Dr. Erin! You saved our family ❤️. Blue is doing fine after his checkup here and all blood in urine is gone. His two bruises on his head are just about healed and he is awesome. We look at him everyday and say how happy we are that he is still with us. Bless you Dr. Erin and you will always be in our prayers. Raymond & Denise Steele.
