Seems all vets are extremely busy these days. Thought they overbooked their clients but they got us in and out very reasonably

Antibiotics set to expire before the regimen completed, so verify the expiry date at the office wrt any medicine supplied. Staff wouldn't take responsibility for the error; totally uncooperative, unethical and rude when the issue was explained. Also, their estimated cost for canine tooth-cleaning was 100% higher than the vet we are now registered with and happily taking our pets to. Recommend Avoid this business. [pls ignore the vacuous excuses/protest the business will no doubt reply with]

I am not a client (yet) but was there when my mom had to put her old, smelly, lumpy, stinky baby boy she loved so much to sleep. All other vets were not available, one told her they had an appt. 2 weeks later.....no an option, especially because he was in pain and immobile. Thats cruel to leave him like that. I told them our situation and they got us in same day, I think within an hour or two after the call. And being new clients on top of that! . Even with the added stress of Covid restrictions they were very kind. I'm extra critical because I worked in a veterinary hospital for 9+ years. They were kind, understanding, compassionate and gentle with him, and my mom. They did not rush us out of the room after (like a lot of dr. Do).They did not try to "upsell" us, or talk us into anything. I hate the hospitals that order all the necessary tests/treatment ect. But then a bunch of stuff not needed at all, whatsoever, just to make money.(yeah, I see you! Shame) A Big one for me was they were respectful with the process and with Shilo. And with my mom. I will be switching vets and taking my doggo here from now on. I'm calling to book at appt. For this week. Hopefully the care my mom received is consistent. I have a beautiful blind pretty pitty named Potatoe. Super super sweet but needs an extra second to grasp things and figure situations out .I think it will be a good fit. Thank you.

I took my dog in and was told it was allergies causing the cough. I was given antibiotics to give her. 2 weeks later her stomach became huge and she could not fit through doggie door. I brought her back and the vet wanted to do full battery of tests. I opted for blood work which came back negative. Then dr. Wanted to do exrays. I asked what if exrays come back negative. She said then we do more tests until we figure it out.before blood work dr. Said it could be a couple things and none of them good and was suprised blood work was negative. ten days after getting blood work I took her to a different vet to have her put to sleep. She declined very rapidly. The vet that put her to sleep said her gut was full of water. I think the first time i brought my dog in to be seen the cough was just dismissed as no big deal and something that might have been caught by a more thorough exam and fixed early resulted in having to put my dog down. The vet was a different person than the one I have seen in the past. I will not be bringing my other dog back to this location. My dog has been gone a month now.

I took my dog in because he was limping on his back leg. Not only did they get him in and made him feel comfortable going in, they made me feel the same way. They were honest about his visit and what was going on instead of trying to get my to spend more money on sergery. I will be taking all my littles to then for now on. Best vet on the coast. Thanks guys.

A good vet with good staff. Do yourself a favor and visit before going elsewhere if you need a vet.

I hate to write bad reviews! We went for the first time for our new doggy. The vet Assistant, Allie was amazing. Allie was sweet, kind, patient and talked with me in my car while it was raining. She went over all the work ups, paper work, cost and treatment plan with me. She was great. But the vet is a nightmare. No bedside manner what-so-ever! She did not even introduce herself. when she approached my car after I introduced myself and said “I I’m jess how’d it go with Ollie?” She said “where do you want him! And as far as his nails go he needs to be sedated. I’m not doing them!” And she rolled her eyes at me. We have had him for two weeks and he is a rescue?!?! When I asked her what her treatment plan options were she gave me the most expensive food on the market. I said well, is there anything else’s I could try that would be just as helpful and still cost effective? She replied “I already told you what you need to do. I’d love to sit out here and talk with you for the next 20 minutes but as you can see standing out here with you talking is Getting me soaked and I have other things to do!” When I asked her how underweight is he she argued with me. He is 45lbs and is a husky Mal mix and we have had him for 2 weeks! My word, It’s not like he is starving here. I said on a scale of 1-10 where would you rank him? She legit said “we don’t use scales form one to ten, we use 1-5.” I was like seriously?!?!? “Ok, 1-5 then?” She said “4”. freaking 4 out of 5? With the food she would have had me buy she made it sound like he was 20lbs underweight! The most sad part was she never even introduced herself to me. I didnt even know her name until I looked at the prescription. Please do not bring your wonderful animal here. It sad because the staff are so amazing!

First, I trust the doctors here. Second, the way they are handling social distancing make me feel safe enough to take me dig in for his check up. Curb side service. Highly recommend.

Very caring vets and staff. They come to your car (vs. COVID) and discuss every aspect of treatment directly and concisely. Cost of services is very reasonable, too.

Our Bella (dog) fractured her toe the folks at Newport Veterinary Hospital took good care if her. Considering she had 2 x-rays and a splint put on the price wasn't bad. Follow up appointment splint had to be put back on Bella chewed it off. $43 next follow up no charge at all. Very positive experience for us. We would highly recommend using Newport Veterinary Hospital for all you pet needs. Dr. Rita and the girls were great.
