The most amazing staff & human beings for you and your horse needs! Dr Root & his veterinary team are great & have helped me with various emergencies with my horses. Always professional, kind, & a wealth if knowledge. Not to mention, they truly care about their clients.

This is the best horse vet clinic in Oregon as far as I"m concerned. I take my Thoroughbred there, but they saved this little starving mustang that my friend and I decided to try to save. My vet was Sylvia Oullette and she never told us to give up, so he is a big three-year-old now and being trained to be a trail horse. Everyone else thought he would die.

We have had many experiences with Oakhurst. Complete with a long-term Hospitalization for pneumonia for my Arabian mare Khalypso. She was well cared for and their expertise and hard work returned her home to me. Her outpatient care continued at our home. The follow up care was super and she has now been healthy for several months. We are now dealing with a founder issue with our Mustang Mare Cimarron. Again great care and knowledge. Cimarron has relapsed and had multiple problems also requiring hospitalization for pain relief. Again the care was so wonderful and deep hearted. Although Cimarron is not out of the woods yet, we can not say enough about this wonderful group of Vets. They are unlike any others in our experience of long term Vet relationships. We would not trade them. Special Thanks to Dr Sylvia and Dr Flynn as these are the two that have been so actively involved with our very sick horses. We think all of them to be so marvelous.

We are so thrilled to have found Oakhurst Equine. We had a lame horse and were having a hard time finding anybody who could diagnose and treat him. They were amazing and he is on the mend. So thankful. Krystal

Treat horses well would have been 5 stars if they would see more than the horse owner as needed help

I can't possibly put into words how thankful I am for the team at Oakhurst. They gave me hope and a plan of action when other vets had told me my horse would never be sound again. It didn't happen over night, but I don't believe my horse would be back in work without their knowledge, expertise, support, and empathy.

Vets were amazing, facility was well kept & beautiful. Office staff (older lady) was snooty to me the moment I walked in. My first time here & last. NO employee should be allowed to talk disrespectful to a customer. She never apologized just smirked at me when I said that was rude. Won't reccomend as I dont want my friends to be treated with disrespect.

I've never had a bad experience with Oakhurst. All the vets are wonderful. I certainly appreciate working with Dr. Tara O'Brien and highly recommend her. She's very practical and very knowledgeable. She's also great with the horses, huge bonus! Thanks Oakhurst Equine!!
