Staff was friendly, doc was great. They handled by 15 lb, scared, cat with no issues.

This veterinary office offers the ProHeart12 Vaccine, formerly ProHeart6 which was initially taken off the market due to high volumes of pet deaths. Due to loopholes and minor ingredient adjustments, the questionable 6 month dose upgraded to a 12 month dosage and came back on the market in 2019. Additionally, in Canada this vaccine is only offered as a last resort when there is no other option for heart worm prevention. Our family pet was administered this vaccine and he is now dead due to the aftermath. He spent 6 days in the pet ICU due to spontaneous GI bleeding. He received 4 blood transfusions and numerous immunosuppressants, and within two days of his dismissal he lost his will to live. He stopped eating and drinking, and was never able to recover. Despite being too weak to really walk, he kept sneaking off to be alone to die. After a day observing him miserable and rapidly declining, we determined it was more humane to euthanize him. We spent $10k trying to battle the damages of this vaccine. The internal medicine vet who oversaw our dog’s care at the pet hospital has credited this vaccine for our dog’s rapid decline within a month of receiving it from Ada Vet. The vet at this practice did not even go over these risks before the injection, and clearly has not thoroughly studied up on the history of this vaccine that they promote. Any reputable veterinary office would not offer this product knowing the full history of it- not to mention administering it to a healthy dog who had never been given heart worm prevention before. Beware.

Helpful and freindly staff. Knowledgeable Doctors. Not pushy on optional vaccines or BS wellness packages. Quick assessment of issues with my dogs ears. Waiting area isn't full of exspensive corn and rice filled dog food that most vets try to push.

Very friendly environment at the Meridian and Boise location...Very thankful that they are super attentive and listen to my concerns with my pup Floyd! He has been going there since he was a tiny guy. A HUGE thanks to Dr. Vett and crew!!

Staff is cold and sounds like there is only one doctor on staff. Wasn't even a doctor when we got there when they were open. More of a clinic then hospital since you can't drop in at all even if your dog is dying in your arms.

My husband got the appointment wrong we were a day early, they seen us anyway. Our dog is almost 15 and having some issues. The staff is very considerate and sympathic to all of our needs. So now we wait for blood test which we will get tomorrow. Who does that? Within 24 hours we will have some results.

I have taken my dogs to Ada Vet Hospital for years because I trust them. When Dr. Broshar bought the practice from Nancy and Steve a few years ago I was happy that the quality did not go down. I have a standard poodle that recently has had some skin issues. I have met with all the doctors during the last few months to determine the problem and I have been impressed with all of them.

Ada Vet Hospital is the only place I have ever, and will ever, bring my dogs. The staff is exceptional and I've always felt confident that they have the best interest of my dogs at heart. Their new location looks fantastic and much closer to my house, and the best part is my dogs get to keep seeing their favorite people!
