I got my cat 9 years ago there and it's the best decision I've ever made

This place would rather your lost dog sit in a small kennel for a weekend then let me provide proof it’s mine so I can be in my way. They don’t even offer redemption at the same place they keep my dog and the other location is closed so I can’t even get my dog back until whenever they’re weird hours choose convenient. I would rather my dog be running around the streets where I can atleast find her then ever be dropped off here again. This place is terrible. And should be making it easy to get your dog back instead I have to wait for an appointment only during hours that my work demands me instead of offering redemption on-site. Makes no sense. Hope this place gets shut down so no one ever has to jump through the hoops I have to just to see my dog again. Also looks like they keep there dogs in outdoor kennels when it’s been over 80 out.

They've been incredibly patient with me as I've attempted to navigate their procedures. Procedures I've never done, and especially not through a pandemic where all everything must be completed online!

We had our 10 month old Kitten Spayed at Homeward Bound. They took really good care of her, they were informative and professional. Thank you for making it easy on us , we drove from Portland and made a day of it in McMinniville . The price is so reasonable and donated some $$ . . . Amber is doing great!

I had a great adoption experience. I went in yesterday and adopted a cat. I was given a copy of all the tests Homeward Bound did and the results, and I got a coupon for Nature's Pet for a free welcome home kit that included dry food, wet food, cat litter and pan, and a couple of toys. Amanda was awesome to work with and made the process so easy. Thank you!

They were awesome and kind. We didn't end up getting a kitten through them because someone else got there before we did. Be aware that they don't actually have an appointment system. We tried to set up an appointment, but were told that they don't do them and just to come in. We drove over an hour to make it there so it was pretty disappointing. If you are looking to adopt from them get there before they open.

I would give this place 0 stars if possible. We were looking to add a kitten to our home and found the perfect one, I emailed twice with no response at all and when we made the hour plus drive they laughed at me and told me she was already adopted. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE.

McMinnville's only shelter and it's also a no kill shelter.

Adopting our kitten here was amazing and so pleasant. We got there first thing in the morning so we got to sit with the kittens for quite a bit. They gave us an excellent description of medical treatment history and what we would need going forward. Overall great experience and everyone was so pleasant to talk with

It is somewhat secluded, which is good for the dogs. You make an appointment to meet the dog you are interested in. No rush. They want to be sure you really want the dog you've chosen. Amanda (the manager) was so helpful! Now I have Tommy, and plan to spoil him every day.

Took my cat to get spayed here. Very nice people and helpful! Just had some issues finding the spay and neuter place since at a different location then adoption place but I could have figured that out if I did a little more research before going

The thrift store has treasures to find if you have time. All for a good cause!

I went to go get my dog from this place after he managed to get out of my sister's yard. I was very uneasy about having to spend over $70 to pick him up after they had him for a few hours. The vet techs that came out to my car not only would not let me see my dog before paying an outrageous bill (just so that I could verify it was actually my dog) but they also stood outside my car yelling at me while my windows were rolled up and I was asking them to just get me my dog and leave me alone. After they screamed at me outside of my car for several minutes they threatened to call the cops on me if I didn't calm down and told me they weren't legally required to give me back my pet after I already paid to have him released. The police never came to resolve the issue but it did take them another 15 minutes just to get my pet from a cage. I hope this review reaches the right people and this issue is resolved. Thank you.

I visited the cat quarters. Wonderful little no kill shelter with attentive staff and nice cozy cattery with great windows. The cats seemed happy. Great place to donate to and adopt from.
