The other reviews about terrible service, especially with the front desk, are 100% valid. The first instance of this happened a few months ago where they scheduled my puppy for his 2nd round of vaccinations 4 DAYS before he turned 16 weeks which is when he should have gotten them so then he had to have an extra round because they did the 2nd ones too early. Thank god he was on a plan so it didn't cost extra but still unacceptable. Most recently I brought my cat in for an 11:30 appointment and was a mere 5 MINUTES late because life happens and my cat was uncooperative getting in her carrier. They made me reschedule my appointment which was frustrating but (slightly) understandable because they were allegedly short staffed. However the receptionist told me specifically that her new appointment was on Wednesday the 19th at 5 (after searching on her computer for an opening for about 5 minutes). Come to find today I get an email about missing an appointment yesterday the 10th (the same day as the original appointment) at 5. I called to confirm that she still had the appointment on the 19th and was told that she wasn't on the schedule at all and her appointment had been on the 10th. Now the earliest they were able to get her in is all the way on the 31st. Absolutely unacceptable and once my dogs plan expires I will be finding a new vet

They are a great vet clinic, and my dog has not had any majors issues here. The only problem I've had is dealing with some unkind front desk people. There have been multiple times either on the phone, or in person that I've noticed just some rude remarks, lack of patience, and demeaning tones towards me for seemingly no reason. Overall, they're a good clinic and have great vets (and a very cool website actually), but I've had some not great experiences before.

After 15+ years of Banfield we have parted ways. The front desk staff do not conduct themselves in a professional manner mainly (April) after several dealings with her over the years and her short rude demeanor we had enough. We made 2 attempts to resolve one with her another with her supervisor, April simply hung up on us and her supervisor was rude and didn't want allow us to complete a statement. They took no accountability for the staffs actions not a simple we apologize for an escalated situation that could have been approached differently would have sufficed. Dr. Below is wonderful and she is what has kept us there over the years, but the lack of customer service is beyond acceptable. We homed 2 of our Frenchies and the new owners refused to go back as well for the very same issues. Move on there are other facilities available that will treat the public in a professional manner and give loving care to your pet.

I started going here in January of this year due to the wellness plan and affordability as i'm a college student. My dog got her teeth cleaned and two pulled in January and they were great. I'm very understanding when it comes to things but not this. I know they are very busy due to their affordably as well as the increase in pets in the recent year so i made my dogs appointment well online for 9:30am in advance (6 weeks) to get her vaccines that were needed in the following weeks. I got a reminder call regarding my appointment and was told i needed to drop her off in the morning and would pick her up in the afternoon. No where online did it say this and its extremely disappointing knowing my dog will be sitting in a kennel all day for something that takes 2 minutes. I told them that i live an hour away (closest banfield to me) and that wasn't possible for me. They told me i would have to reschedule my appointment for ANOTHER 6 WEEKS if i wanted it to be a in office visit. i informed them that nowhere on their website does it say that this would be a drop off situation and they responded "we know theres nothing we can do about it" which is extremely unprofessional. They should be calling each client who makes a online appointment right away to inform them of this. I pay $45 a month for what feels like nothing. Since my dog has been due for her vaccines for over two weeks now i had to make a appointment with a new vet clinic and will be paying $150 for vaccines and a exam that should be free with banfield (included in my monthly fee). I cant wait for my year to be up so i can cancel my wellness plan! I highly recommend not using banfeild for your pets. What concerns me even more is that they squeeze these drop off visits in which makes me think that my pet isn't getting proper care.

Needed to have a script filled for my dogs due to allergies. Called Banfield to have the script filled. They stated that the the Vet that saw the dog is the only one that can fill the script. Turns out that vet only works part time and wont be in till the weekend. I called this in on Tuesday and now have to wait. Our pets have been patients with banfield for over 4 years and we have used them for 10. No longer will we use banfield if they can't even have another ver look at her chart, and prescribe the medicine needed.

I moved my dogs care to Banfield due to being a traveling RN and needing appointments across the country. I used the online scheduling to make an appointment a few weeks ago… come to find out the day before it’s actually a drop off appointment… despite having a “scheduled time”, they were planning on keeping my dog all day. I explain to the person on the phone that my rescue has tons of trauma and is severely dog reactive and has separation anxiety. I’ve worked extremely hard with training to improve these issues and now have a dog who is crate trained and has closed the threshold with dogs greatly but still needs distance… especially in high stress scenarios. This facility has no option to work with traumatized dogs. I asked if she could be crated separately from other dogs since she would have to spend the whole day there… not an option. I got there in the morning and there was no way to even check her in without putting her over threshold and having her react. Very disappointed when a facility can’t accommodate animals with trauma. I ended up just leaving and skipping my appointment. I prefer a facility that has all animals well-being as a priority.

I've been bringing my cat here for 12 years. The insurance plan makes it easy to keep up with regular checkups and cleanings. They caught illness before it endangered her life two years ago and she has outlived all her litter mates and parent because of their attention to detail.

Don't schedule your pets here if you want reliable care. They cancelled on us the day before our puppy's second vaccines which were scheduled for over a month, leaving us high and dry. Not only was their next available appointment in three weeks, but we have already paid for training classes with PetSmart which require her to be up to date on vaccines. I'm beyond livid with their customer service. They could have done so so much more to get us in sooner, worked with Petsmart to get our money back, or work with the other Banfield to find us help.

Do not enroll in the wellness plans. Even at their "discount" prices they charge you way more than anyone else in town. $1000 for an X-ray is absurd!! i refused the xray and went to another vet where they charged me $130. They also require you to continue to pay your monthly fee even after your pet has died. Nothing like adding salt to a wound after you've lost your beloved pet. They are owned by the same people who own Mars candy bars. Its all for greed.

The staff at this location have always been very helpful and kind. I took my pets there for about 2 and half years while I lived in Eugene and aside from literally 3 visits where the vet overlooked my pets issue (and I think this may come down to having different veterinarians look at the pet instead of the same one, which you could schedule with the same one), they were always very accommodating and kind. One of my newly adopted dogs was found to have heartworms here and they treatment went very well. They did well with accommodating her issues while treating her. I've also had to call them for help or information after moving out of Eugene and they are still kind and helpful. With the added benefit of Banfield being all over the US, I would definitely recommend this vet!

If I could give zero stars I would. this place is disgusting and have neglected my cats in their care before and just physically hurt my coworkers dog when coming in for a bath and groom. They detached his teeth from his gums after poking him with a rabies pole for no reason which resulted in a $2,000 surgery and obviously lots of anxiety and trauma for both the pup and my coworker and her family. Banfield tried telling her “he bit his tongue” but are now contacting her for invoices for the surgery because they know they abused that dog and are now scared of being sued. My coworker is getting legal teams involved, but please do not under any circumstance bring your pet here!!!!

They r expensive but listen when I had to put sheeba down they were as caring n loving as can be I've been with banfield a long time best to have insurance in my eyes ask the vet. They r the ones who know

I have been a customer here for years. What happens when I come to take my dog in for the free dental cleaning that is part of the program I pay for monthly? Oh- they don't tell me I should have an extra 400 for bloodwork and anesthesia- then when I call back the next week trying to schedule again they're months out. My dog has teeth falling from her mouth- I said that on the phone, that it was not going to be a normal cleaning, she needed extraction- even asked for pricing- and I knew I had enough for at least two extractions- they never quoted me the additional FOUR HUNDRED FOR OTHER SERVICES- that if I did not pre pay for- I could not have my dog healed. Now I'm busy calling every single vet in town just TRYING to find an appointment while I already pay monthly for banfield. What a joke. cancelling my pet subscription on all three pets.
