They have kept our dog alive, happy, and pain free for 14 years. That's right: 14 years. And our ol' dog loves to go there. 'Nuf said.

They took my dog in it 8am and got him taken care of in a couple of hours, and i cant thank the team enough who took their time to watch and care for my dog. I wasnt able to pick him up until 2-3PM and they made him feel so safe. Thank you to everyone who took the time to watch Roger. We are very grateful and Roger left very happy

This whole office is wonderful! They don't give blanket care, they recognize that different animals need different things and cater to even my rude dog.

Dr. Yuko and her staff were friendly, patient, and took all the time they needed to tend to my senior dog. She suggested prevention measures we can take to keep the dog active and pain free, and other steps to help keep us out of the emergency vet. I didn't feel rushed at all, they answered all my questions and made sure that all of my concerns were addressed.

Everyone who talked to me has been super nice! Dr. Veckstrom (sorry if that's not how you spell her name!) Was great at taking care of my bearded dragon and even came out to see me at the car and show me his biopsy and talk me through what his incision/suture would look like. When setting up an appointment, the lady who helped get me information offered to text me everything instead of call because of work hours and went above and beyond by printing me a ton of care guides and handouts. I don't live around here (it's an hour receive go get here) but it's worth it for how great everyone has been!

**this review is for an appointment we had in February 2018** I came to West Hills because I found one of the veterinarians on the fear-free certified list. My dog is anxious especially at the vet office so finding a compassionate vet who would handle him gently was a priority. Unfortunately at the appointment unnecessary force was used by the vet (dragging my dog by his leash and forcefully restraining him on an exam table to take his temperature). The exam left both me and my dog uncomfortable, and the vet commented that the appointment would have gone better “if I had trained him better”, even though I had only recently adopted him. This was quite disappointing and hurtful. Some of the blame is on me for not immediately speaking up when the vet first started being forceful. I can be too trusting of professionals and that is my own fault. The three stars are for the vet tech (who was very nice and did her job well), the bureaucratic side of the business (it was very easy to make an appointment, they put together a nice info packet to send home with me and had a nice "portfolio" put together for my pet), and the follow-up; when the vet office heard I was disappointed with how the exam went they did reach out and try to remedy it as much as possible. Unfortunately the forceful handling should not have occurred in the first place. Update: upon seeing my review, the practice manager reached out to check in. She let me know that they have been working more heavily on fear-free practices, including adding a certified trainer to the staff, in the past three years since my last appointment. I appreciate the effort on West Hills part, and I hope that the vet has received help learning how to handle pets without force.

Realistic and pragmatic in their practice. If my cat gets into a fight (again) I can call them and tell them the situation. They’ll Rx some antibiotics that I can pick up and administer to curb any potential infections. Prices are almost half of some places like Willamette veterinary who would INSIST you bring your cat in and that they need hundreds of dollars in tests (to be sure they’re giving the right Rx for liability reasons) before they’ll finally give the same damn medication.

This is where I take my cat to get his nails trimmed and his routine checkups and etc. It is not very far from our home which is a plus. The staff are great also.

This clinic is amazing. They work with your dog to make the visit as calm and positive as possible, and even have a trainer on staff to set up the owners, dogs, and the rest of their staff for success. My parrots also go here, and receive excellent care as well. A+ clinic.

I was a new client and had an emergency issue with a pet and they bent over backwards to accommodate me and get me in quickly. They see all kinds of pets here which is what brought me here in the first place. There are not a lot of veterinary offices that will see the smaller creatures that have trouble regulating there own body temperatures, and especially the ones without any appendages. Lucky for me this place specializes in all kinds of critters and they got me what I needed in a hurry to make sure my animal got the care it needed. Thank you, we will be back :)
