This place is great. Very friendly and caring. Doctors are very knowledgeable and professional. A little on the expensive side, but I guess you get what you pay for.

They saved my baby’s (15-year-old Jack Russell) life! Excellent care. Very knowledgeable, attentive, kind, caring, and thorough. The communication between the healthcare professionals and the parent is the best I’ve ever seen and that is so important!! Yes, the cost is high but they are board certified specialists and the care is 24/7 so it makes total sense. I see so many negative comments about the cost, it’s sad. You get what you pay for. We paid for more time with the love of my life. ????❤️ Thank you SOVSC!

They were very knowledgeable and professional. The waiting time was long and their price was very high. The dog owner, (my 82 year old landlord), couldn't afford the price and was sold antibiotics, a cone collar and pain meds. Then we just turned around and went back to Yreka. The dog still has yet to be tended to. Veterinarians are getting very hard to get your animals looked at and very expensive if you're lucky enough to find one. It's pretty sad for the animals.

SOVSC always provides the utmost compassion and care. I appreciate all of their hard work and dedication to our community. I’ve brought both of my dogs in on separate occasions and have walked away both times feeling like my pets were far better off when they left then when I brought them in. Thank you Southern Oregon Veterinarian Specialty Center!

They serve a purpose which is good. I was extremely happy with staff but pricing for care is extremely expensive. I put them in the same category as World Famous Auto. It feels like you're being robbed at gunpoint anytime you go there. Getting quotes for one price then it being more when you go to pick your pet up isn't kool.

My female Rottweiler was not eating, and looking sad……so I called 4 other vets, 2 of which she had been too. No one could see her for a few weeks at the earliest. So I went to SOV and they had her evacuated in 30 minutes, and performed surgery to save her live … (uterus , ovary infection) I very little good to say as to 2 other vets, (names withheld)… but SOV answers the phone when called, and is staffed and equipped with everything to keep your pet alive. It does come with a price… but their estimate was spot on. This is the third time I have needed them….thanks you SOV for picking up the slack of the other loser vets in the valley

Not a coincidence that the majority of reviews are negative. Likewise NOT a coincidence that the majority of reviews talk about this facilities greed. I own and operate a large animal rescue, have for almost 40 years. In these last 4 decades i have met and worked with a great number of vets and vet hospitals. Never have i come into contact with such an uncaring, incompetent group of people. And PLEASE, Do NOT bother to post a condescending response to my review, it doesn't make you appear anymore professional. You are who you are, at least own it.

THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY AND WERE GOOD WITH RUSTY, QUICKLY TOOK HIM IN AND CHECKED HIM OUT. THEY EXPLAINED HIS ILLNESS CLEARLY,. HOWEVER WAS ALITTLE EXPENSIVE AT $150 FOR VISIT.

Last night I took my frenchie in after 18 hours of labor and not one contraction. I was fully expecting for them just to do a c-section ($4,500) and send us on our way. The doctor was hesitant to do surgery when our plan all along was to self whelp. The doctor suggested a calcium shot and wait to see if it brought on contractions. One hour after getting home, my frenchie and I successfully whelped five healthy baby's. Don't get me wrong, the prices here are insane, but I was pleasantly surprised how our visit went, and the doctor saved me about $4,000.

Our dog Loki required emergency care for a foot injury that became very infected in two days. There are no veterinary services available in Klamath Falls on the weekends, let alone holiday weekends. Southern Oregon Veterinary Emergency Services was a God-send. They were very professional and great with our dog. They communicated with us by phone throughout his care, quoted the price range of care, provided after care instructions and medications to our dog. The only complaint is that due to their high volume of clients it took over two hours to see him and two+ hours for the procedure. With driving time on snowy/icy roads and the wait, it took us 12 hours to return home. It was well worth it knowing our dog got great care.

Do not bring your pet here.... we were given our dog back with no discharge instructions after being told our pup was recommended ti stay there for 24 hours. because a full payment of close to 500 dollars couldn't be made at 10:00 at night they discharged our dog, With no further instruction, detail, or help. All they want is money.

Excellent and very responsive veterinary services. My one year old pup was very sick and received excellent care from the vet in charge and the support staff. When you have a pet emergency, SOVSC is a life saver! A warm THANK YOU to everyone at the Center.. You saved my Zoey's life.

This place was amazing. My only complaint is that I have to drive 4 hours from California to be seen! In all seriousness, the staff were not only knowledgeable, but very friendly and willing to answer all of my questions and phone calls. On top of that their services were more economic than other clinics and hospitals that quoted me for my dog's hip surgery (she got ran over by a car and fractured her hip) I would very strongly recommend them to anyone needing specialty or emergency veterinary services. The immediate relief was so obvious the day I got her back from surgery. She seemed like she was in less pain and was already trying to walk (I didn't let her no worries). I'm writing this review 3 weeks post surgery and my dog almost seems like she's back to normal! I'm so grateful to them and all that they did for her! 20/10 would recommend!

They don’t know what they’re doing. Had me run test that was unnecessary and charged me for it when I know my dogs aren’t sick. They didn’t even know what’s wrong with my puppy and wanted me to do an X-ray that will set me back 900$.

I’ve had to visit here more than I would have liked but at one point they saved one of my dogs life. Forever grateful to have them in our community and for being able to help my dog. Thank you all for all you do.

Amazing service last night on Christmas Eve at 11pm. Our 15yr old pug had something go wrong with his hip/leg. There were very comforting in this high stress time. Took care of our old man quickly and with great professionalism. In a couple hours we were able to go home with our dog. He was doing much better. They treated us beyond fair not only with the service but in the pocket book. Thank you from my family for making our home whole again for Christmas. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

They got my Sadie in right away and did a fantastic job on her stiches and cast, I've been here a hand full of times and if I ever have an emergency with my dogs I trust and rely on them. Great communication and care.

We had to bring in our dog Christmas night to stitch up a deep cut on his leg, and even though they were busy the staff was so friendly and helpful. We received frequent updates from the tech, and the vet herself called before and after our dog’s surgery to explain the treatment plan and aftercare instructions. A few years ago I had to have my senior cat euthanized here, and the staff was so caring and supportive throughout the process. They even sent a card after. Highly recommend!

My cat was unwell over Christmas and lost a lot of weight. While expensive-as I expected, since this is an emergency vet facility--it wasn't more than I anticipated and the testing and care was top-notch. Cat is fine now!

There is a shortage of Veterinarians in our community and we drove about an hour to the nearest clinic last night. Southern Oregon Veterinary Specialty Center fulfills a need for advanced veterinary care in Southern Oregon and Northern California. Their staff was amazing! Due to COVID restrictions we waited in the car, which was no big deal. After Moose went inside, the staff called several times with updates -the Vet also called with explanations and next steps. They shared suggestions of where to eat and offers of coffee and water. A very friendly and caring staff- I didn't get everyone's names- but thank you so much for the work you do! The parking lot was continuously full with people dropping off and picking up their pets. The staff was constantly carrying pets in for treatment and back out to their family. Their goal is have your pet healthy asap so they can be back with you. Highly recommend SOVSC!

4 1/2 stars actually. I live pretty far from a vet anyway, but my almost 19 yr. cat was having peeing problems on a Sunday. She has always been healthy but I know that can be serious if untreated so we made the over 3 hour trip. We were told we might have to wait quite a while. Total time was about 3 1/2 hours, which was okay, as they were very busy. About 1/2 the time was waiting with my cat in the car, the rest she was in the clinic. All of the staff were very courteous and professional. We all stay in our cars and communicate by cell phone. An assistant finally picked up dear kitty. The staff and vet were very good at communicating with me while I waited. (I don't mind waiting in my car as Covid is still a very real danger.) Finally kitty was brought out to my car, and shortly after some medication for her. They all said how sweet and well behaved she was, and that besides for cystitis, she was in good health. My only complaint was the cost. I expected it to be expensive, but the price shocked me. I would have declined a second pain medication for traveling ($60) if I had been asked. I think one pain med is sufficient, as I live on a small fixed income. But over all, everyone was kind, professional, and seemed to really care about my precious old girl.

They saved my buddy on Thanksgiving weekend. Had to have surgery and they quickly were able to get him checked in and perform the procedure in under 6 hours. No other vet in the Rogue Valley from Cave Junction to Ashland would see me or listen to my urgent need. SOVSC are my hero's for being available 24/7. They don't get enough praise for being amazing people who want to save your pets life.

Dr Applegate has been using a nose scope to keep my dog’s benign tumor at bay. She is kind and a good communicator. I recommend her for sure

Our dog was in a nasty fight and being new to the area we had no vet to call. We looked up 24 hour vet care and found Southern Oregon Vererinary. Although we were not allowed inside they had a great triage team that assessed his wounds and took him right in. They took great care of our dog and he was ready to go home in about 3 hours. Meds in hand. They have a great staff that put us and our dog at ease. Highly recommend!
