I had a client of mine refer me to simply cats because that is where she had gotten her cat. I did the process and filled out the app. To make a long story short I filled out the app during the holidays. I figured it’s been a slow process getting back to each application so I called after the holidays to see where my progress was at. Shortly I received an email from Erika. Communication back and forth through email and continue questions about if I was going to declaw and about allergies. She must have assumed I was planning on declawing the cat when I just explained I was open to options on adoption. I explained about my allergies and told her what cats I was interested in. One was a sister and I’d had asked if that cat would be up for adoption without her brother. She replied with a no…. They have been together for 9yrs. I truly understand the process of adopting an animal. But with her reply she never told me about the other 2 I was interested in. I felt like she made up her mind not to adopt to me. Super frustrating with their process. And after reading some complaints it’s seems like I’m not the only one who had struggled adopting through this agency. My kids and I took our business to The Human Society with a physical meet and greet with our new cat and got to take him home the same day. Couldn’t have been more happier going somewhere else. I was not impressed with the communication and how long this whole process was. Beautiful cats but waste of time.

Simply Cats is the best shelter and adoption center for cats. It's a no kill shelter and they strive to help all the cats that come in with sicknesses or disabilities. I got 3 very special kitties over the years from them and one of my Cats has feline dwarfism. The cats are always comfortable and the rooms are kept clean. The staff is amazing! Highly recommended!

This was such an odd experience that I felt like I had to share it with others so they know what to expect. We arranged to have a virtual meet with a kitten that was described as longhair. When we saw the kitten on zoom it was very clearly a short haired cat. My husband and I decided to go ahead and adopt him because he seemed really snuggly and sweet. We picked our son up from school, bought kitten supplies and went to the shelter. At which point we called to let them know we were there- they kept wanting us to pay while we waited outside. We asked Erika if we could see him and hold him while we did the paperwork and she refused. We were not allowed to see the kitten in person before we paid. I told her we wanted to hold him and see if he likes us and Erika then told me that because we asked to see the kitten she no longer trusted us with the kitten and we would no longer be allowed to adopt it. Literally, for asking to see our kitten we were denied adoption. We have been avid pet lovers and adopters our entire lives and have never given up an animal, they knew this, it was on our application, but asking to see our kitten disqualified us from having him. How were we to even be sure that they were giving us the correct kitten if we aren’t able to see it? It was a very odd and disturbing experience. It seemed like there was more going on and the adoption center was not being honest with us. I recommend using the Humane Society- they are very accurate about the pet’s appearance and they are willing to let you see your kitten before you take it home.

We love the work that they do. We Foster cats privately and when they are ready for their forever home simply cats find them a good home.

Adopted a cat that was described as "shy" and was able to take advantage of a two for one deal, adopting her sister as well. "Shy" is not the word I would use. Feral and half-feral is the word I would use. We spent 3 weeks on the sister, in which she is part of the family now, enjoys attention, likes to cuddle. The one we originally wanted is still running everytime we get close. Hides under furniture, scratches (rips into) us if we do manage to get a hold of her. The first two weeks we couldn't catch her. Spent the next 2 weeks in a large kennel to be acclimated to humans, allowed us to hold her briefly (3 minutes) and so we let her loose after the 4 weeks hoping she would warm up. Nope. Week 5 or 6 it's still back to day one. A cat we never see except to feed. Honestly, I feel $100 for a feral cat is ridiculous. The sister makes up for the fee, and I really DO think it's the no contact COVID protocol to blame. They are not being acclimated to humans enough. Won't be adopting there again.

Just adopted a cat. They are very careful who they let adopt. Cats obviously well cared for.

Sometimes people have life changes that force them to give up a cat. When that occurs, you have very few options. Rehoming a cat is difficult, and takes time... Simply Cats can save you from having to put the cat down. I'm very grateful they saved me from having to do that.

I am so grateful for Simply Cats. They truly care for all the cats in their care. This past week I came across four young kittens who were found on a farm that were hungry and cold. Simply Cats helped get the kittens the help they needed. Those sweet kitties will never be cold or hungry ever again! Thank you for all you do Simply Cats.

I was just looking because I would like to adopt a kitten/cat, but I don’t think I can adopt 100% online. You have to meet them and see who you bond with. The last cat I adopted, we picked each other. I know it sounds crazy, but it’s true. She was literally like a little dog. She waited at the door for me when I got home from work, slept on my head and jumped on my shoulders and just stayed there while I did whatever. That is the way I would have to choose, or be chosen, for the best match. Just my opinion. Thank you all for taking care of all of the cats needing homes at a no kill shelter!!

I adopted a cat from here years and years ago! She was the best kitty ever. They really got to know her to share her highlights with me before I adopted her. We recently were looking for another kitty and found one we really liked. They made sure to let me know she would be better if she stayed with her sister. Unfortunately we already have one cat so 2 more would be a house full. But they made sure I was content and accepting the outcome. I was so impressed with their prompt responses and emailing me throughout the weekend! It was a great experience. Will adopt our next cat there for sure! ❤️

So grateful for this business, we've adopted multiple cats from them and had years of pleasure from our fur babies. Recently after family death I had to contact about bonded brothers/littermates to be returned and Tara has been wonderful helping me figure out a difficult situation. The people of simply cats clearly love the kitties and someday I hope to have time to volunteer here and help an AMAZING no kill shelter. Thank you simply cats for all that you do!!!

Simply cats is wonderful!!!! They kindly checked a "found cat" to see if it had a micro chip. It did!! They contacted the Cat Org. where the chip originated in California! We found the owners here in Boise within a few hours. They care, where as local Humane Society on Overland would not simply " wave a wand over the cat" and check for a micro chip. They had many employees standing/sitting around and no one would help me!!!!! They wanted to send me many miles away to another site for a simple micro chip check. SIMPLY CATS IS WONDERFUL!!! They checked the cat within minutes and found the owners. I WILL CONTINUE TO DONATE $$$ TO SIMPLY CATS!!! They really do care!!!! My donating to the local Humane society got me no where!! THANK YOU SIMPLY CATS FOR ALL THAT YOU DO!!!

Update 4/24/21: We were notified that the mama cat and the rest of the litter were rescued by Eagle Community Cat Colony, who do amazing work in our town. We brought the kittens to be with their mom because we were told they still needed to nurse. The person who trapped the cats took the mama cat took the mama, other kittens and our 2 to Simply Cats a no-kill shelter in our area. The adoption coordinator said they belong to Simply Cats now and based on my phone call to get them back I sound like we are not a loving home and that we will probably never see them again. She also, informed me she is the ultimate final say on who gets to adopt cats and by calling and getting upset I was not "helping my case" to even be considered to adopt and no we couldn't foster because we hadn't been through their orientation, and it would be a hassle to train us in their process. Also, they won't even be ready for a couple months and that they won't know us (as if they would know another family either and foster parents get first pick of kittens they foster). We would have never left them with the foster lady if she had been honest about what she was going to do. While I respect Simply Cats mission to help cats in need of homes, we are heartbroken at the customer service, lack of consideration at even getting to know if we are a good home, and hubris. We asked to speak with someone else or the Director and were told the directives are coming straight from the director. The adoption coordinator seems to thrive on the power she has to decide the fate of cats and families. We are still fighting for the return of what we considered a new part of our family, however limited the time. Please do not try to contact Simply Cats on our behalf. We are trying to go through proper channels. If you can offer a reference letter about how our family feels about and cares for all animals placed in our path we would love to hear from you. Thank you and we will hopefully be able to update again with a happy outcome. Meet Yummi and Ragnor. Our new family members. Zac Stoner approved.

Simply Cats received our kittens by mistake. We have tried to work with them to get them back. They will only say now that they have them and they are property of Simply Cats. My family is sad and confused about an organization who claims to care about finding cats good homes not willing to return them to a good home where they are wanted. We are even willing to let them investigate our home, provide references, and agree to get them fixed and microchipped (even though we planned on it already) so they can be sure returning them to us is the right thing to do. If you see Yuumi and Ragnor out in foster care or on the website, know that they have a family who loves them and wants to be reunited with them. @simplycats We reunited them with mom cat that was feral and captured with 4 others kittens. Eagle Community Cats volunteer, Linda. We had a vet appt. scheduled for the following day. She told us we should leave them with her as she could de-worm, treat for mites, give eye medicine, everything that they would do at the vet and they would have the added benefit of nursing with the mom. We had told her that we would return the next day to provide collars so she could tell our kitten from the others. We had already purchase kitten milk replacer, kitten food, bedding, scheduled a vet visit before she had captured to mom cat. She wasn't even sure if she would be able to. We took full responsibility for the cats that we rescued. We were trying to do the right thing by leaving them with Linda over the weekend to get treatment. We are hoping you will do the right thing by checking us out and place them with us after they are old enough to be away from mom. We understand a mistake has been made and we are trying to work with you and your organization to rectify the situation peacefully. Thank you for your response and we hope that Erika is mistaken about how you go about placing kittens with families.

While I have never adopted a kitty from Simply Cats (I have a kitty who does not like other cats), I do know of the great work they do, and we are blessed to have them in the Treasure Valley. They are a no-kill, caring, friendly shelter with many amenities such as daily cleaning of facilities, testing for kitty diseases, on-site medical attention, and of course cat trees, baths, and brushing. They go to every length to care for the kitties as long as it takes until they find a forever home (including bottle/tube feeding newborn kitties who do not have a mom). If I were to rehome or adopt a kitty, I would not hesitate to visit Simply Cats.

Simply Cats is simply outstanding! Their staff is awesome and very helpful and always do what is best for the cats in their care. They go to great lengths to care for the cats and kittens and save thousands of lives each year. They have a very thorough and solid adoption process - and make sure the cats go to the right homes. It's also a fun place to visit (when COVID goes away). We have always enjoyed visiting there and we love our former Simply Cats fuzzy family member!

I LOVE SIMPLY CATS! Simply Cats really is an amazing place. I had found a young cat, rather she found me, later last year. She kept coming back to my house in the evenings. I tried very hard to find her owners and was not successful. I brought her to Simply Cats so that she could be placed in a forever home. I was very surprised at the facility, staff, and volunteers, to say the least. Extremely clean and professional all the way around. Kitty received a comprehensive examination and was soon placed as available for adoption. I’m very satisfied that a monetary portion of my Amazon purchases is donated to Simply Cats through my AmazonSmile account. Check it out! Thank you to Simply Cats for what you do!

It's great to see people working so hard to care for and find homes for so many animals. Their staff is knowledgeable and easy to work with. They're following strict Covid 19 guidelines which is also great to see. We love our cat that we adopted from them and the adoption fee was affordable.

We ordered a specific cat tree we wanted, the gentleman who makes them was happy to accommodate us. He did a BEAUTIFUL JOB. I'm telling you, there is no where else I'll shop. This is our second cat tree and 6th adoption!
