Although very busy, the flow was excellent. The wait time was not long at all. The team was good with handling the needs of my dog. The doctor explained everything very well and there is a care plan in place. Very knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate staff. Top shelf care for my pet.

VRCCO staff were efficient and kind. The cost of the surgery for elbow dysplasia was so much more affordable than in S. CA, it was worth the long drive. They were flexible on dates and times for the consultation, surgery, and discharge to facilitate my trip there. The surgeon's clear explanation using a joint model made the problem and proposed surgery much clearer to me. They followed up with explicit post-care instructions and needed medications. January 2022 Update: My two year old standard poodle is now 7 months post-surgery. There was a temporary setback in the fall, which improved after a while. He has high energy, so not the best candidate for long-term healing. He is not 100% sound - has a slight limp which varies in intensity from day to day, but is less severe than before the surgery. I continue to give him 1 tab of Cosequin and two fish-oil gels daily (both available at Costco) which seem to help. So the surgery has improved his condition if not fixed it. The surgeon had warned me that he would have some arthritis. Time will tell to what degree.

On a very busy morning, my cat was cared for as quickly and efficiently as possible. The wait was pretty long, but the clinic was extremely busy (several critical cases came in after I arrived and needed to be seen ahead of my pet). Even with how busy it was, I didn't feel that my cat's care was rushed. < br />I will definitely recommend this clinic to others!

We came in with a dog who had a variety of odd fast-onset symptoms. Within a half hour we had a plan for diagnostics, and just a few hours later we had a diagnosis and treatment plan. They were considerate, communicative, and great with our dog.

The doctor's and staff are wonderful, they took excellent care of our English cream Retriever. They provided updates in a timely manner, always answered our questions in a way that we could understand. Cooper was a patient starting Friday through Tuesday and not an easy illness, everyone we spoke with was very caring and understanding of our feelings. Thank you for taking such good care of our family member. Terry Smith and Pam Lucas

Only care about money. My dog has a sore on his eye and I wanted to take him in but they don’t do payments unless you qualify for an expensive credit card that you have to make a bunch of money to qualify for. Now he’s gonna live with an infection on his EYE for months so I can save up money just for them to look at him. Again only about money never the pet.

We were so happy to have such a valuable resource as Bend's VRC of CO on New Years Day! It may possibly have saved days if not weeks in our beloved Oscar's recovery from fatty tumor extraction surgery. One day after the visit, Oscar is already doing much better! It's obvious he's turned the corner on his recovery. We were beside ourselves with not having anyone to talk to or give medical advice during the holiday, when Oscar took a turn for the worse. Again, we're so happy to have found you when we really needed you! Thank you! Being open on a holiday was really our biggest priority and the advice and options given to address Oscar's problem were exactly what we needed.

We love the staff and expertise at Veterinary Referral Center. So caring, patient, calming and knowledgeable! We feel very lucky to have you in Bend knowing your there for us 24/7! We can't thank you enough for the care you've given all our pets and the support you've provided when though decisions have had to be made over the years. You're all the best!!

Dr. Stockdale and the technician were both incredibly friendly, and Dr. Stockdale was very clear with his recommendation, while also making sure we knew all the options available to us. It was apparent he had Cotillion’s (my cat) best interests in mind which I greatly appreciate. The care and kindness towards Cotillion means so much to me.

I’ve heard mixed reviews about emergency vets but am really happy I chose this business. This was my dogs first time (and mine) at an emergency vet. I arrived LATE last night and didn’t have myself very well put together due the overwhelming feeling of worry for my little one…… My dog Blair was experiencing issues we’ve never had before. She had a dry and red nose that I made an appointment for. Not long after that more issues occurred. Such as, appetite loss, heavier breathing and lack of energy. When I arrived I continued to feel reassurance, guidance and genuine care from the staff. I was sad and scared but the fact that the staff was so kind helped me feel at ease with my little one in their care. I know this job must be hard at times and I want the staff to know how much I appreciate yesterday. My second best thing about the business was the rates for medication/procedure and walk in fee. Blair was given fluids and nausea medication for her visit at a low cost in my opinion. The moment one of the vets assistances came out Blair was so full of energy! The dog that went in the procedure room didn’t come out the same! Now my little one has been running around today, chewing, eating and just being full of joy again. I still monitor her but think she will be doing good from here on out thanks to the staff. Yet again thank you so much for all your hard work and kindness!

Our Lyra came in with a lung mass from something that she inhaled into her lungs, from the moment we arrived through an "eventful" surgery to the day we picked her up (7 days later), the staff was caring, communicative and available. They kept us informed of her progress and urged us to not hesitate if we had any questions. They are incredibly dedicated. One of the vets told me "No news is good news" which was my mantra during the very stressful first couple of days.

Our dog, Ruby fell off a 30 foot cliff and sustained a broken leg and internal injuries. VREC was very responsive and took Ruby right in and began evaluation and treatment. She was in for three nights and had surgery on her leg after the internal injuries were stabilized. Their communication and customer service was outstanding and very caring. We are very lucky to have the caliber of veterinarian emergency service in Central Oregon and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
