Southern Hills Veterinary Hospital Tulsa, Oklahoma

I have been taking my cats to Southern Hills Veterinary Hospital for years. Today, I had to take a seriously injured cat to them and they were wonderful. Barney didn't make it, but I appreciate everything they did to try to save him. And, I appreciate that they let me be with him when they put him to sleep.

Sparkle expressed fears when we went to our visit. The staff were not forceful in any way and made her feel at ease. The staff are friendly and very attentive!

Way to expensive compared to any other vet for the same quality. The new receptionist is not welcoming. Also mask mandating again. Never go there again.

I have personally known Dr. Robards for over 20 years. In that time, he has shown the upmost professionalism with all of my dogs. Very thorough and the love and concern that he has for your pets is evident each and every visit. Highly recommended.

They refused to write me a prescription for my dogs antibiotics and charged me double what I would have paid at a local pharmacy.

Took in my German Shepard In for shots and to have paw looked at due to getting it caught on something. Curbside service was timely and methodical in getting Hershey out of my truck. Asked questions to confirm what he was in for and if anything else needed to be done or looked at while inside. Blood work results arrived next day and was given a call to inform me of good news. Will be back!

I learned more about taking great care of my great dane in one visit to Southern Hills Veterinary Hospital that I previously got over many years at another clinic with my previous dogs. I would highly recommend it!

They have taken care of my Fluffy for years. I feel like they're family. They always call and check up on her which we like! Fluffy wags her tail when we get there which is a great sign!

The Southern Hills Veterinary Team gave us courteous, prompt and compassionate care at our recent curbside appointment. Not only were they quick to come get our pet, they also called right away to talk about what they believe would help our pet. Then, in less than 10 minutes, we were on our way with a happy dog and some new meds to alleviate his pain. Best vet care in town!

I've been using Southern Hills Veterinary for more than a decade. I can't imaging taking my pets anywhere else!

The vets and staff are top notch. My animals are treated like family and Lori always gets me an appointment when it's needed. Plus, Louie is there to greet everyone and he is hilarious.

We were VERY disappointed in the lack of care and compassion we experienced at SHVH. At our first visit our dog was misdiagnosed even after we expressed concern about her heart. Two weeks later she went into crisis and we called them stating it was an emergency (after hours) and NEVER received a call back. We took her to OVS emergency. It turned out she was in congestive heart failure and had been for awhile. We took her back to SHVH for her follow up. Once we took her home, no one ever called to check on her. She passed away 3 weeks later at home. Again, (after hours; 6:30 PM)), we called SHVH to see what to do. We were told to bring her into the office the next day. That was very upsetting and unacceptable. Instead, we took her immediately to OVS to be picked up for cremation. Again, no one at SHVH ever called us! It wasn’t until 4 days later when her ashes were delivered to them and they had to call to let us know we could pick them up that anyone even said “sorry for your loss”. I’m glad others have had good quality, compassionate care, but that was NOT our experience.

Unfortunately, this place is very poorly run. From the marginal reception to the questionable care, I had to follow a doctor to another practice. When a IV line is still in when the animal is "ready" to come home, there is a problem. When animals are prepared for surgery and the surgery is not performed but charges remain, there is a problem. When customers are lied to about staff issues, there is a problem. This place is a PROBLEM.

I had a great experience bringing my pupper in today. The staff were courteous when I called and listened all of my questions. I was even able to make an appointment to be seen same day and there wasn’t much of a wait to be seen. The veterinarian and assistant were so kind with my dog (he gets super anxious easily) and checked every concern I had about him, which were a lot since he is an adopted dog and I knew nothing about his past. They also understood my financial situation and helped me find the best care options that were within my budget. I would highly recommend these guys.

When i was looking for a place to get my dog fixed and everyone else was booked they seen my big guy the next day. They have been nothing shy of amazing every visit since February. After the devastating details that my dog had heartworms they explained everything to me and we started treatment right away. Every question or concern i had was answered, even helping me unload my dog when i had my baby in the car. I am very impressed with the professionalism and especially how my dog is treated since he is a big guy!! Thanks for all you guys do and for fixing Dozer so he could have his life back!!

Great staff, clean, and they are very good interacting with your animal and getting to know your pet.
