I used to go to a fancy vet. I quickly realized the high bills were going to their marble countertops, stone facades, and other decor that animals really don’t care about. I switched to Best Friends several years back and haven’t left. It’s plain, clean, and welcoming. Affordable and knowledgeable services. And they’re just nice people that take great care of my animals. Definitely recommend.

Dr. Best is a Great Vet and is Very Professional and Knowledgeable. She take time to explain things and makes sure you understand treatment and care of my pet. Her staff is Friendly and helpful. Also, her rates are very reasonable for care and boarding. They also follow up after an appointment to see how things are going. Thanks Dr. Best and Staff!

As a person who works with a lot of parrots, I greatly appreciate Best Friends Veterinary Hospital where the staff have been so very helpful on so many occasions. I recently had an emergency situation with an amazon parrot and even though the hospital was booked for the day, Dr. Carol Best took time from her important surgical work to see the amazon and prescribe medications to help this bird. This is just one example of he good work of this hospital. When we have concerns about the health of our birds, we want expert veterinary care and Best Friends has always provided us with both expertize and excellent handling of the birds.

I needed to take a stray abandoned adult cat that I have been feeding for 1-year in to see a vet, the cat needed to have his left leg assessed from a bleeding injury and wanted to have him neutered to help stop fights and territorial spraying, as each fight he was receiving serious wounds more often, he is not the instigator but tries to back away, the other cats strike the first blow. Several other vet hospitals could not see him, they were booked, some emergency vet hospitals, there was no one at their facility you had to call and make an appointment. This cat was bleeding, this was the 4th time he had an injury on that same leg and in the same area but this time the injury was deeper close to the leg bone. My hopes in neutering him was maybe he would want to stay inside and he could be my cat. Right now he comes and goes, he eats inside my kitchen after he eats he wants out right away. So I have become very close to him and became his self appointed care giver. Best Friends Veterinary Hospital agreed to see him and gave me the information that I needed and what to expect. The Doctor kept me advised after the surgery, what medication he would need to take, how he was doing and what to expect and when I could pick him up. After I arrived to pick him up, they gave me detailed instructions on his care and possible ways to handle him to stay inside longer, they even at the last minute allowed the cat to come in the night before, I called just before they closed as they agreed to bed him over night. This might be some normal for some vets hospitals but I just was not finding them in a short notice. I am greatful to Best Friends, the Doctor and The Front Desk Staff for there kindness and desire to help in such a short notice.

I take my ferrets here they are sweet and give vaccines have the best interest for the animals

We’re new to Tulsa and needed a vet for our mini Aussie, who is very nervous with new people. From the moment we walked in the entire staff went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable. He was a bit of a handful but they were all so patient and kind! I cannot recommend Best Friends enough if you’re looking for a new vet!

Always a great visit! Dr Carol is very gentle and caring with the animals. Our cat was nervous, but calmed down when the examination began. She has fixed Shoog up before and we are happy! Go Cdoc!

Friendly service! Felt really comfortable with the vet. You can tell she cares about animals and doesn't try to push medication on you if it's not needed, which is very refreshing. Will definitely take my two parrots here again!

Prices are cheap but that also reflects the quality of service/care for the animals. Things have gone downhill since it was sold to a new owner.
