Dr. Manley cared for our sick ragdoll and then referred us to the OSU surgical team because our cat was a special case. When we got him home he needed more of the medication he was prescribed but we couldn’t obtain it anywhere but OSU so we …

I sat in a room and waited over 2 hours as they prepared an estimate. The estimate was double what I had been told by my Vet. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel like I had another option.

We had to take our son’s dog in late on a Sunday evening to have him put down. The staff was very kind, considerate, thoughtful, and professional. Even though at a time like that price is not an issue they were several hundred dollars lower than I ever dreamed they would be on a late Sunday evening. I would definitely recommend them someplace to go.

Went here a few weeks ago with my sick dog and they ran tests on his heart. The vet said he had a heart murmur, but he didn't have heart failure. He wanted to run all of these extra tests on him that would be super costly and he prescribed him a heart medicine. The medicine was crazy expensive! $60 for 2 weeks! Ridiculous! I had taken him to the vet after this place and they said his heart was failing and they gave him even more meds. Nothing was helping and we had to put him down a couple of weeks later. Going there was a complete waste of my time and money.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS TO THIS VET. My dog has been on a steroid for nearly two years. Unfortunately, our dog became sick and we were not able to get the steroid into the dog. We checked our dog in for what was supposed to be an IV injection for dehydration along with her steroid. The only piece of information the vet offered was how important it was to administer the steroid and that the dog could not go without it (WE ALREADY KNEW THIS) . The expected stay was 24 hours for $1,400. They called us less than 8 hours later and told us our dog had received enough fluids to go home. We took her home, but a rapid decline ensued shortly after. We checked the paperwork and the vet failed to administer her steroid. My family and I spent hours on our hands and knees trying to force the steroid down the dogs throat. It was not pretty and it was not fun, but it saved the dogs life. 72 hours after we forced the steroid down the dogs throat - She has made nearly a FULL RECOVERY! I have called for weeks and left multiple voicemails to try and talked about the incident with the vet. They are never open during their specified times and they do not call back! STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS! UPDATE: April (receptionist) informed me that it was our job to administer the steroid because our dog was throwing up and could not hold it down under their care. The next obvious question was: WHY DID YOU CALL US AND TELL US TO PICK OUR ANIMAL UP IF THAT WAS THE CASE! April did not provide any form of legitimate reasoning for the poor care of our beloved animal!

I called concerned about my dog who was acting like she was poisoned. Instead of saying hey come in and let us take a look at her. They basically said, "Put her in a quiet room and wait for your normal vet because if you don't have a ton of money up front we don't care about your dog." I don't understand the heartlessness and greed. Back home in Colorado they would have said, "Bring her in and we will work out a payment plan after she is better." However it's not like that here it's more about the money than the animal which tells me you're in the wrong line of work and doing it for the wrong reasons.

This business is not worthy of a single star We had taken our sweet girl on a Saturday at around 1am, she was very ill, laying on her side with her tongue out, a few days before she had diarrhea but drank a lot of water, this is supposed to be an Emergency hospital and the Dr”s main focus was the diarrhea and not the fact she was so ill, he even asked me why she starred at the floor, that’s why she is here something was wrong, two hrs and $500+ later they sent her home with medicine for the diarrhea, sadly two days later our girl passed away, we failed her, I now wish we had taken her to the Veterinarian Hospital in Jenks, but we wanted her seen as soon as possible Please Do not use this hospital if you can help it, they even wanted to keep her overnight to hydrate her even though all she did was drink and a additional $1200 This hospital’s main concern is how much money they can get from you and not the care of your pet, they stick you with the financial dept as soon as they Can and get your CC# Shame on them! We learned a tragic lesson We hope to help save someone’s dear pet by please going somewhere else

I felt the entire staff was great! They inform you of options and are sensitive to the fine balance of having a family pet get sick and need their care versus the reality that families are stretched thin...especially these days, and that the decisions we have to make for our pet's lives are very difficult and emotional.Thank you all at Animal Emergency Center for your care and professionalism!!

We have had our share of visits here, with my dogs and my parents dogs. Never have had a bad experience. Always excellent doctors and vet techs who you can tell truly care about their patients. In November we had to put our GSD down and they were so compassionate and kind during such a tough time. They sent us a card afterward too. These people are rockstars in the emergency veterinary world!

The bill ended up costing $680 she was there for 10 20 minutes and they told us she was gone for an infected uterus during her cycle but somehow administered $680 worth of treatment. She was already passed when they euthanized her completely pointless to have even taken her here.

Had to bring one of my dogs in for a broken claw/profuse bleeding. It was a Sunday, and there was a wait, but once we got inside, the staff were all very professional and caring. They even trimmed the rest of his claws and bandaged him back up. I feel like the wait was based on triage, and not any other reason. My pet was not in immediate danger of losing his life or limb. I will definitely return when my regular vet is unavailable for emergencies.

I wasn't sure what my cat needed but only knew he was in pain. They found the problem right away and chi chi is so relieved now. Thank you so much for treating him so quickly and compassionately!

Went there with my dog in labor and my hours old puppy, needed a c-section to get the rest of the puppies out. They left me in the parking lot waiting for a "nurse" to call me for over 30 minutes!! Refused to let me in the door due to covid policies no one is following anymore! Ive spent thousands of dollars there in the past and would have spent a few more that day but instead drove cross town to the other er vet who at least let me and my dog in the door!! Will NOT be back!!

Our chronically ill cat got very ill over a weekend a couple weeks ago so we had to bring him in and euthanize him. The staff was very kind, they got us right in, gave us all the time we wanted with him. The procedure was quick and they kept him so the cremation place could pick him up. This was a difficult time for us and they helped make it as smooth as possible. They also sent us a nice sympathy card. I would highly recommend them for emergency pet care.

It's been a week since we visited the Animal Emergency Center, a week since I had to have my little guy (Schnitzel) put to sleep. I have tried to start this review several times, but just haven't been able to put the words together. My dachshund was sick, he was 12 years old, we had been to a vet on Friday, they were little help. Saturday morning I needed to find someone else to see my baby, and AEC was available. I think we dealt with Dr. McNamara, he told us his name several times, I was too frazzled to hold on to it, but that is the name on the paperwork I was given. Yes, you have to wait in your car while they take your baby inside, they are protecting others, and themselves from a pandemic that is still an issue. Yes, you have to fill out paperwork online, they need to know who is responsible for the animal. Yes, you have to pay upfront (blame the people who receive services and never pay, not the vet)! Yes, they are more expensive than a typical vet, but they are open on Holidays and weekends, when no one else is available. But here is what matters to me. They got my baby in to try to help him. I honestly felt that they cared about my boy. They called me several times, to update me on what was happening. When his blood work came back, and he realized that things looked bad, the doctor came outside to talk to me and my husband face to face. When we decided that the best course of action was to let our baby go, all of the staff were very compassionate. They let us in, took us to a nice little room, and brought our baby to us (I think the young lady that brought him to us had been crying). The doctor came in and explained to us what each injection would do, he let us hold our boy and comfort him while he did the injections. We were given information on services that were available for pet cremation etc. We weren't rushed out of the office, we were given all the time we needed with our baby. Then, later in the week, they sent us a sympathy card. After this experience, I wouldn't hesitate to take another animal to AEC.

Used to love this place. My vet can be hard to get in to and they were a reliable alternative when we couldn’t wait. The last several times we’ve been in, they just are not caring anymore. It feels like they care more about process, and money than they do the animals they see. I understand emergency vets are going to be more expensive and I don’t mind that when the people are so caring but they just don’t seem care about animals or their people. Even worse with COVID procedures. Ask you a bunch of questions on the phone then make you fill out a form with SAME QUESTIONS using your mobile phone. Save yourself some time and frustration and find somewhere else that makes you feel like you and your pet matter.

They took very good care of my cat and I couldn’t be more thankful. Pricing was definitely very expensive, but since he had to stay for 3 days and it’s an emergency vet it’s to be expected. Despite price I’m still happy with the decision to go here, and the staff was AMAZING. Anytime I called for an update they told me exactly how he was doing, what to expect next and when he might be able to come home. The vet that called me after his exam was also amazing and very informative. Only thing I am sad about is not being able to go in for his exam but that’s a COVID problem.

Had to rush our old girl in early morning and have her put down. The compassion that Samantha had from answering the door to answering questions was easing. They took such good Care of our baby girl and us in our hard time. Days later they sent us a card of sympathy. An extra step to show they truly care for the families and patients. From staff to facility, if I could give a 10 I would

Clients are not allowed inside right now due to the pandemic. The staff meets you and your fur baby outside. You'll wait in your car. They call you and give diagnoses, fees associated and status of treatment. Minimum of $95 just to be seen, but for your peace of mind and having your fur baby treated, it's reasonable. My cat got into a fight and resulted in his eye and surrounding severely injured. My cat was evaluated, had blood work, received a neck cone, both eye drops for swelling and antibiotics which we brought home. All this was $262.00. Took about an hour and a half or so.

These heroes saved my kitten, Ronan. It was months ago now, but I realised today, while cuddling my baby thinking about that horrifying day, that I never wrote a review. Back in August, my apartment caught fire, and 5 month old Ronan was stuck inside. I rushed him to the Animal Emergency Center, trying to keep him conscious. The very sweet lady that met me at the door assured me that they would take wonderful care of him. I had just recently moved out of my parent's house, and started out on my own, so I told them I couldn't pay a few thousand dollar bill, and to let me know before they do anything very expensive. I sat in that parking lot for hours just bawling, while my boyfriend tended to the fireman, Red Cross, and trying to find our other cat that had managed to get out. Eventually they told me that Ronan would have to stay there for a while, so we spent a sleepless night in a hotel, and I called every few hours to make sure my baby was still breathing. They kept me updated, remembered me every time I called, and always remembered his name. They were so incredibly compassionate. They really made the best of the few scariest days of my life. Ronan was cleared for release, so I took all the bank cards, credit cards, and the Red Cross card ready to pay what I thought would be the biggest bill of my life. When I got there to finally pick him up, they told me that they discussed my situation, and that my bill was fully taken care of... I have never been so blessed in my life. I'm tearing up just thinking about it. Not only did they save my best friend, but they changed my whole life for the better. I have the highest confidence that they showed my little guy nothing but love the whole time, and they even did the same for me. I will never be able to repay your kindness, or thank you enough. Thank you...

Dr Greenhouse and Dr Upton are definitely Heroes and Angels sent from God as they quickly worked to diagnose my cat Kiara who was suffering with cancer. Dr Greenhouse professionally and compassionately provided me with my options and provided the costs upfront to help me make the hardest decision I have had to make in awhile. A special thank you also to Dalina, Amy and April for their kindness and clear instructions on the procedures. Thank you all for taking good care of my Kiara and for making this devastating situation easier to deal with.

I had to euthanize my best friend, Mangey. It was three in the morning, but it was time. Doc Kelly gave me a diagnosis and prognosis quickly, and I knew she was right. Up to, during, and after the euthanasia, the entire staff was incredibly kind, respectful, and helpful. And they all drove through a foot of snow and ice to be there. These people are saints.

As my cat lay dying in my arms I was stuck outside being asked if i could pay for the entire service today. They wouldn't let me inside and cared more about payment than saving my baby's life. If I had chosen a different pet ER perhaps my baby would still be with me. ????????

It took 45 minutes after we finished the paperwork ( COVID19 QUESTIONS BUT YOU CANNOT GO IN With your pet!) We told them our puppy had vomited 7-8 times in 2 hours and our home had been treated by a professional exterminator service 3 hours earlier. (I had called the exterminator and gotten names and EPA numbers ) The vet said we would have to call the 1 800 number for poison control ourselves and then tell him what they said. I’m a nurse myself and I would never ask a patient to call poison control themselves and then tell me what they said! I don’t recommend this place. Next time I will go to my vet!!!! Arrow Springs Veterinary hospital!! They’re wonderful!! And they let me come in with my dog during Covid19!!

I have to start by saying I cannot praise this facility and its staff enough. I have taken my sweet cat Butters here twice in the last two months and each time they were wonderful. Our first visit came when Butters had his first seizure. The staff was wonderful, admitted him overnight and even called us at 1 am when he (unfortunately) had another seizure. They stabilized him, administered anti-epilectic medications, and Butters was happy and healthy the next morning when we picked him up, even with his new epilepsy diagnosis. Unfortunately, Mr. Butters developed a UTI this week and I had to take him back last night after I noticed symptoms of a complete urethral obstruction. I was terrified after reading all the horror stories about this medical emergency and rushed him in immediately. Now this is the situation I came to praise them for. They immediately diagnosed an early stage urethral obstruction and recommended 36 hours of hospitalization. They broke down their price quote and I immediately broke into a cold sweat. There was no way on Earth I could afford to pay the deposit to have him hospitalized. Now a urethral obstruction is life-threatening, 100% fatal if left untreated. There was no way I could wait for his regular vet to open in the morning and I couldn't afford the treatment. So I asked if there was any way we could admit him overnight and essentially told the tech I had X amount of money in my bank account would give them every cent if we could work something out to get him treated. The vet and her staff were wonderful. They were completely understanding and nonjudgemental about my financial situation. They worked with me and were able to have him catheterized, sedated and administered fluids before releasing him to keep him healthy and stable until I could take him into his regular vet. All at what I am fairly certain was a very kindly reduced fee to accommodate me and my sweet baby. Thank you so much to the lovely women working last night. There is nothing more precious to me than my cats and I am certain you saved his life last night.

If I could I would give this place no stars at all I took my cat there because she was having complications having her babies and iij t was too late to take her anywhere else all these people did was charge us way too much all for them to tell us they couldn't help her have the kittens w out having a c section and we couldn't afford that all we had was 500$ and our only option was to pay 1500$ ,put her to sleep, or relinquish our rights over rights over so we had no choice but to give our baby up. I will never take any of my pets to this place ever again. I Give it 2 thumbs way down!!I would say worse if I could.
