They didn’t even care enough to spell my name right even after i told them how it’s spelled but they got my pets name right. they kept insisting my dog has worms even after multiple tests that were negative. i used a soap that dried out my dogs coat a little bit and they kept insisting that was because of worms and not because of the soap. they really pushed for my dog to get a kennel cough vaccine even though she is never around other dogs and would never be boarded anywhere. they gave her six vaccines and a chewable which i feel like is a lot for a 15 pound dog at once. they implied my dog was sickly because of her coat quality. always kept saying her coat quality. even after i told them i bathed her with a flea soap that dried her coat and i deshedded her making her coat thin just a day ago. Also asked me if i was doing anything about her fleas when she clearly had a seresto flea collar on and i told them i gave her a flea bath. they wouldn’t explain to me what some medicine was that they told me to give her. definitely made it out that i didn’t take care of my dog. overall very rude and unprofessional. won’t be coming here again, i’d rather spend my money somewhere else that won’t insist my dog is sick and she will be gaurunteed quality care and will spell my name right.

Do NOT take your pets to this clinic!!! Used them for the first time... they sent my Great Dane home today even though any other vet would have kept him. Before we could take him/get him in somewhere else he DIED!!! Grossly incompetent! Never will I ever regret not listening to my gut more and going somewhere else to receive quality care. Horrible place, horrible knowledge! If we had went probably anywhere else my baby would probably still be alive and receiving life saving care.

When my cat injured her leg, they got her an appointment that very day. Professional. My cat is timid and doesn't do well with visits to the veterinarian. However, they were very good with her. The visit, exam, diagnosis and check out was all done in the examination room which was great at helping with my cat's nervousness. She was put back into the pet carrier so we could exit quickly and not have wait in the lobby to pay out. I was instructed to keep an eye on her and give her pain meds for 3 days. The 4 star rating is because the next day after the visit her leg was still troubling her and possibly even worse. Since it was a Saturday, no doctors on the premises and said wasn't considered an emergency. We are planning to leave for vacation in 3 days and it would have been helpful if they would have made arrangements to have another look at her leg.

BEWARE of surprise charges and being constantly upsold!! I called to schedule a second round of shots for my puppy and was quoted $42.00 and informed them of an injury I wanted them to also check and when I asked how much the total would be after that I was told that I would only have to pay for the round of shots. I wasn't informed of the fees for any of the medications he'd be sent home with until I was at check out and was looking at $125.00 balance. The vet tech checking me out offered to take off one medication which brought the total to $90.00 and said that I was misinformed over the phone and didn't offer to see what she could do about that with a supervisor or assure that it wouldn't happen again. Totally unprofessional.

My buddy, my gentle giant, he ended up having lung cancer. But, Dr. Fussell was awesome! I knew my boy was in bad shape. But this guy, he was hugging my boy and loving on him. Staff was too. Look, I have been to vets who simply price gouge and pet shame for not dropping 5k. These people are here for the animal and family. I will be back again because I have never been so impressed with a vets office. If you want people who care for your fur babies as much as you do, go here!!. Also. The price was super reasonable. But the care was amazing. So good to my boy! Ty guys!!!

My kitty is very nervous at vet clinics, but he absolutely loves the Veterinarian here. He is very calm for her and let's her pet him, which he doesn't even let me do when we are at the vet. He was very sick when I first got him and they had him feeling better in a day!

Gave us the shots our kitten needed but when I asked them if she was sick due to her sneezing and having stuff coming out of her eyes and nose they told me she was fine. A week later we called because her eyes were getting worse so we brought her in that day and turns out she had an upper respiratory illness (they also charged us for a re-check fee). We asked them at that time if my older cat could catch what she had and they told me no since he was already vaccinated but now he’s showing the exact symptoms she had when she first started getting sick so we will be taking them both to a new practice. Was very helpful when we called and talked to them about it.

To find a place that answers the phone in this town is nice. To find one that has a competent and patient human answering is extremely rare. Western excels at both! They are efficient at having patients seen, and provide great care for our goofy dog. Prices on everything (service side, haven't bought food here) are very fair.

Both Dr. Fussel and Dr. Mitchell are exceptional! We were new to Stillwater and unsure where to take our dogs for great care. We’re so glad we listened and chose Western! They are top notch.

TERRIBLE BUSINESS! My daughter called to get an estimate on a spayed surgery for her puppy, for which she budgeted over 10 paychecks at her part time job. She called 5 places to stay within her budge for which she found Western Vet Hospital to be the lowest price by $30. During the day of the appointment, they never called to explain there would be an increase in the charge (had they, my daughter would have picked her up prior to the surgery as she did not have anything else in her checking account). When my daughter went to pick up the dog, they told her it would be $430 because the dog was energetic and because she weighed 42 lbs instead of 40 lbs. Further telling my daughter that it was only an estimate and SO SORRY about their mistake. When my daughter said she didn't have the additional funds they told her "if she couldn't afford a pet, she shouldn't have adopted her in the first place." The office is closed during COVID and she couldn't go into the office to speak to anybody outside of the person she was talking with in the parking lot. They then came out and said they would take $330 and that's it, and she couldn't get the dog until the additional payment was made. She is young and she let this unscrupulous business take advantage of the situation. I've called the office 3 times in 2 days to discuss, with each time being asked to call back to somebody who actually gives a darn about what happened. First, only the DR could make the determination and would call back and now only Taylor can make the determination for whom I spoke with yesterday. Terrible, do not trust them.

I have used Western Vet, as well as the rest of my family for a long time. Today, Memorial Day, the office was closed. However he met me up there and was very kind in helping me say goodbye to my dog Clover of 13 years. They are compassionate and good at what they do. Highly recommend them. My heart is broken, but they made sure I knew that it was the right thing.

Dr. Mitchell and her entire team are nothing less than amazing. Our Border Collie was treated with golden hands and golden love for the past two years. What a relief to have Dr. Mitchell, a knowledgeable and professional veterinarian, to help us navigate how to help our sweet boy in his senior season of life. We cannot thank her enough. So sad we had to move away. We miss y’all and Trooper definitely does!

Dr. Mitchell and her staff are incredible. They always know exactly what our pets need. I am most impressed with their ability to calm my neurotic chocolate lab so they can clip his nails. Best find in Stillwater!

If I could give zero stars I would. My friend went to this vet clinic to get him neutered. Keep in mind she has a very small dog. About three days after his surgery he had TWO Seizures (Never had one before) and wasn’t eating. she took …

Western Veterinary Hospital has taken care of my cats since 2017! I found out about them through the amazing ratings they had on google maps. They help to create a wonderful environment for the animals to be relaxed and pamper with love. Dr. Christina Mitchell is absolutely wonderful and treats my cats like family!

Best vet I have ever been to. Saddest part about leaving Stillwater was leaving this place. We had the same person for our cat since he was a kitten. They were always so nice and understanding and helpful with him.

Very very kind doctors who knew exactly how to treat my puppies. One is a rescue so special patience is needed with her and the doctor knew just how to keep her feeling calm and safe.

The people are very friendly and attentive to your pets and to the owner. They are very helpful as I have three small rescued dogs and I am disabled on a fixed income. I have never come across such people with a genuine love and caring for your babies. Thank you.

My dog and cat always get great care here. The location is convenient, and the vets and staff are attentive and friendly. They clearly love working with animals! I sometimes feel like I'm leaving having spent more money than I should have, but when I ask directly how I can control costs, I typically get helpful advice.

I highly recommend the team at Western Veterinary. They've always taken such awesome care of our pets and never make us feel like they're rushing us in and out the door. It's rare to find such kind people who genuinely care about four legged family members!

We love Western Vet! We go to the vet as well as board our dogs here. They are always so sweet to both of our pups and take great care of them. Our dogs get super excited when we arrive and enjoy all the love, treats, and petting they get!
