The last few times we’ve gone in for fish and or fish supplies. On one occasion my husband waited to be helped for over 30 mins before I called to store to ask for assistance with the fish that my husband was still waiting for an associate to return to assist him. The last time we all went in, on 1/16/22 we waited for assistance and when we were helped the female associate helped us with the Molly’s we bought and then left without warning and sent a man to get the placos for us. He caught the first one quickly and began getting agitated with the second one claiming he couldn’t find it. I kept spotting it for him and I think he smashed my fish because it died hours later. It’s not worth another 45 minute drive for an $8 fish but I felt a review was necessary. Hopefully the right person will see this and turn this store around.

this is for all petco stores and not specifically this location. I have three hamsters and know a lot about them. When getting my first they recommended a way to small of a cage for my dwarf hamster yet alone a syrian hamster. I build all of my cages (800 square inches!) for the same price of the 60$ terrible, to small of a cage. Just yesterday I saw someone buy a smaller cage than what I had gotten for a syrian hamster (much larger than what i had in mine) if you are going to sell animals make sure you have the proper cages and things they need to survive. minimum space they need is 450 square inches and these are barely 150.

Please consider honoring manufacturer coupons when combined with store sales. Not my job to know what’s on sale, but it’s deceptive practice to send coupons in the mail that Petco won’t honor because the item is already simultaneously on sale in store. ????

They had everything we need. First cashier we came to was playing on her phone so we stood in front of the register waiting for the next cashier to finish helping that customer. It turns out the register we could have gone to was open as she began helping the people BEHIND us.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL TO GET GROOMED HERE!!! I wish I could give the groomers a 0, but thats not possible. I took my 3 y/o husky, who is very well behaved and has never had a complaint in another groomer before, in for a spa day (de-shed, bath, nails, ears and teeth) and they called me about 45 minutes after I left telling me they could not continue the service as he was pacing too much. I was immediately worried as he has never had a complaint before. I expressed frustration and concern (mildly) to the groomers and they did nothing in reparation other than tell me they can't do anything because he is being unsafe with his pacing. I asked them why he might be pacing and he's never acted funny like this in a groomer before. They said something along the lines of "they might do it differently in other groomers so it's not our faults and we don't know". When I got back to PetCo, I was handed my dog by the manager, Amber, and there was no dialogue other than 'have a good day', which admittedly, I didn't exactly give her the warmest wishes back. When I was walking out with my dog, the first thing he did was POTTY!!! Are you kidding me? They stopped his grooming because my dog was pacing because he had to use the restroom? Something he had no control over? I was so so so so MAD. When I called the assistant manager, Jessica, she apologized and stated it was out of both of our control which I agreed; however, it was when Jessica told me about Amber's version of the story was when it hit the fan. Amber is untrustworthy as she stated she 'tried to work something out but because of my temper she was unable to' when there was in fact no dialogue offed at all, not on the phone or in person. Jessica then went on to blame the fact that my dog hadn't been properly exercised or taken to the restroom adequately before my appointment, which we go on runs every morning at 6 a.m. and had used the restroom plenty. I am disgusted, enraged and telling you, DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE. I wouldn't even let a roach be around those awful, untrustworthy, employees.

All in all great, when I had a question they were there to help. I didnt find what I was looking for and they didnt help to find anything close to it or anywhere else, that knocked a star for me. But all in all clean and had some cool sells.

The groomers at this location may be ok for an alternative from our normal small business groomers in the area, but they are poorly managed. They do not convey a professional atmosphere that gives you confidence about leaving your family pet with them.

AVOID THE GROOMERS AT THIS LOCATION. I scheduled a groomers appointment for this location 4 weeks in advance. I had to reschedule at the request of the groomers because vaccinations were not up to date. So the groomer told us to get shots updated and then she rescheduled for the following weekend. We show up for our rescheduled appt the next weekend and then they say she can't be groomed because she just got shots THAT THEY TOLD US TO UPDATE!!! Poor communication on their part and a complete waste of our time.

Went here just to get a few fish, I was not helped by anyone in the store, i wasn't even acknowledged by the staff. in the end I didn't end up getting the fish because nobody came to help. So sad...

So actually my experience was at the Norman store with an employee that is now at Qauil. I had gone in to thank them, but I was informed they had switched stores . The employee’s name is Elsie, and they do dog training among other things. They saw me looking at a choke chain with spikes , and suggested I try a gentle lead on my SUPER pull-y labradoodle. I was a little offended at first if I’m honest, bc I thought I knew better . Turns out, the gentle lead was the best thing I have ever done for my dog ! I wanted to apologize to Elsie for being a little defensive, and then they were ????right. They are an incredible employee and a true animal Advocate!! Norman lost a WONDERFUL employee ! Thank you Elsie !! I can come by Quail and you can help me with a harness for safe dog travel ????

This store is very unorganized. Many isles are blocked with boxes. I couldn't find my dog's food brand and wasn't acknowledged by staff so I just left.

The layout doesn't make a lot of sense. Cat and dog items are pretty well intertwined and you can wander into the other without noticing. Staff is super friendly tho and I've found a couple items to be better here than elsewhere. Their tag selection and engraver beats Petsmart.

I normally do everything with Petsmart. I wanted to try Petco and see what they are about. Vet clinic was amazing! Real quick and my dog wasn't stressed! However...I waited to get the RX for Heart worm proven but you have 30 days. So for the last week and a half I have had my order cancelled 2 times because they couldn't get the vet to respond. The RX will expire today which means my dog will have to have ANOTHER test that I will have to pay for!! This was my 1st time ever getting an RX from a vet and I have spent so much time over the phone trying to figure out how I can get it. Now...I give up! What a hassle!

I went to pick up worm meds for my puppies. They had everything I was looking for in stock and matched the price they had online. There was a line but I got through it quickly and staff was friendly.

The assistant who helped me was knowledgeable and kind. The selection of Cichlid food and supplies seemed a bit low and the prices a bit high - but I really like Petrol and will continue to shop here. Thanks for listening!

Went in with a fearful puppy to help work on her confidence. Employee Mark did amazing with her and was the first man she has ever willingly stayed by. Plus the honest kitchen treat are amazing!!
