We’ve been going to NHV for years. We loved Dr. Bowles, and we’ve been very happy with Dr. Robertson since they brought her on several years ago. We were sad to see Dr. Bowles retire and miss some of the front desk staff we knew so well…and the curbside drop off/pickup can be cumbersome, but I trust this too shall pass. Bottom line, our pups are still getting excellent care. One of our dogs recently needed emergency surgery and they got him right in and took care of the problem. They communicated with us throughout and made sure we were comfortable with his after care. The staff even called to check in on him while he was recuperating at home. THAT is what makes this place great. I feel like they actually care about my dogs.

They never got out of the COVID mentality. It’s like going to sonic Drive in. I’m very disappointed you never get to meet the vets

Great experience! Dr. Craft was kind and allowed my dog to have a peanut butter treat during his exam. The office staff was amazing. It was easy to schedule and they called my previous vet for records to ensure our dog was getting the best treatment!

A little pricey but I think it's the location. Staff was polite and professional

Drs. Roberston and Kraft are outstanding and knowledgeable veterinarians. When my pets are in their care, I know that we will be treated with compassion and respect. I am thankful for all that they, and their caring staff do on a daily basis to care for people and their pets.

After two visits for diarrhea and nausea where we explained the difficulty in getting this dog to eat oral medication due to the nausea our problem was not resolved giving us 7 days and nights of the continued problem where we tried to contact them on a Saturday and a Tuesday where the call rolled to another clinic and due to the fact that they refused to provide another form of medicine for a dog with nausea we have decided never to return to this clinic. This clinic used to be open on Saturdays when Dr. Bowles and Dr. Johnson were the vets. There has been a clear change under the new vets. None of the front desk staff seem to be the same either, which is a shame as well. I miss Doc Johnson and Doc Bowles!

*** Animal lovers: BEWARE of leaving your pet to this place *** First off, let me say that it really takes a lot for me to put up a negative review. When things just aren't right though, I feel a responsibility to share my experience with others so they don't have to go through the same thing. Dropped off my 13-year old Border Collie for a scheduled check up appointment at 8am last Friday (they're only doing drop-offs due to Covid). When I called at noon to see if he was ready, they said no, the doctor hadn't seen him yet but he'd been given Trazodone to sedate him. WHAT!? I did NOT consent to anyone drugging my elderly dog to put him in a kennel so they could get to him when it convenienced them. I finally picked him up at 2:30pm (they hadn't called me still, I called again and said I wanted him back whether they were done with him or not). He was so sedated I had to carry him in and out of the car and into our home. His breathing was incredibly shallow and eyes couldn't stay open. I laid next to him for 2 hours to make sure he was breathing. He didn't "come out of it" until almost 10pm at night. All of this and all he was dropped off for was a CHECK UP. Spoke with Dr. Robertson today and asked her why my dog was drugged without my permission. She said she hadn't thought to put that on the check in form but that they do it all the time so they can triage other animals. As a doctor myself, I understand triage but there's also the case of overbooking yourself as the cause for an unmanageable schedule and that is clearly what's happened here. When I expressed this sentiment to Dr. Robertson, she cut me off mid-sentence and asked where she should send our records to. Zero compassion or empathy and didn't even want to deal with the situation she created. Will very obviously NOT be returning and don't wish this situation upon anyone else. UPDATE TO REPLY TO OWNERS RESPONSE: While Trazodone may be safe, it is not for you to decide when my pet gets it when I was not first consented. Quite frankly, it was not necessary for a check up visit. Get the dog in and out, simple as that. Don't put him in a crate for 6+ hours while you deal with your self-inflicted chaotic schedule. To your second point, you called me at 6:00pm on Friday and left a voicemail. When I called back five minutes later, the answering service picked up as you were closed for the weekend and not in until Tuesday. Zero emails were sent to me. To your last point, I have not, at any point, refused to pay. When I picked up my dog on Friday afternoon, you had not yet completed billing for him and I was told I would be invoiced and called when it was ready. Your office called me on Monday to collect payment and I said I will remit payment after I can speak with the doctor. Simple as that. Go ahead and send me that promised email with our bill breakdown.

This place has went down hill. I have been bringing my dogs here for 14+ years and my vet retired. Every since he retired things took a down hill trun customer service, care, communication, and you can never just request one vet. You just get who ever they want you to see. I am going to take my business elsewhere since they can't get there stuff together. I am the type ofnowner who wants one vet to get to know my animal not just guess and see if they can find whats wrong.

Dr. Kraft and her staff were amazing. We had an emergency with our pet rat and she called every hour to communicate what was happening. Unfortunately, we couldn’t save him but I couldn’t ask for better service.

Nichols Hills was a amazing clinic when Dr. Johnson and Dr. bowels were still in charge. Since then Staci Robertson has taken over and she is the biggest bully there is. She has done a great job of getting rid of every staff member that actually cared for the clients and animals, not just the money they brought in.

Great people! Our dog likes them better than us!

They were rude! Looked at me like I shouldn’t be in their clinic. I own an American Bully. My dog needed an allergy shot and flea medicine! They tell me they did not have time to see her to give her a shot or to even look at her and they couldn’t sell me flea medicine without an appointment. They just seemed very rude and very put off by me just walking in and asking about an appointment and not calling

Our Vet just retired fron NHV and we loved him. He was always there for us and our pets. We were with him for 25 years. The new Vets are young and they seem knowledgable and caring. We are adjusting.

We used Nichols Hills for about a year and I was really happy with them. My dog has always been anxious but the introduction of another dog in our home made him hyper anxious to the extent that our house is in chaos. I spoke to a different vet at Nichols Hills and agreed to try some behavior modification and check back in. I used a dog trainer and tried different supplements and behavior interventions, which helped, but ultimately his anxiety was overall just increasing to a point that his health is compromised. My normal vet was on maternity leave, so for the check in on my dog's anxiety levels I saw Dr. Staci Robertson. She was informative and listened to my concerns, but ultimately told me that she wouldn't prescribe any anxiety medication unless I used HER dog trainer, and gave me a pheromone spray (even the American Vet Association says they're not effective), and told me to try those and then come back for ANOTHER visit and then I could get anxiety meds for him. I'd already spent a ton of money on different training and care trying to help my dog, and made the appointment as a last ditch effort to get help. Dr. Robertson was condescending in assuming that HER trainer was going to make all the difference and while it is Nichols Hills so presumably they're used to a higher income client, the cost of a pointless vet visit (although he did also receive an allergy shot but I would have normally waited on that) is not something that is easy for me to swallow. I complained and Dr. Robertson said that she still believed that I had to try her recommended trainer before she would prescribe meds. Furthermore she was rude and demeaning to other employees (FYI, patients can hear everything that goes on behind the office wall). For the record, if she just had a problem prescribing anxiety medication, that would be fine. But it was that I had to spend money on an appointment that I'd already had with a different vet at the same office and use HER trainer that just made it unprofessional. I will say that the staff and other vets are incredibly nice and caring.

Great prices and good customer service! They are very understanding of the stress the vets brings to my fussy kitty.

Busy at times, but there’s a reason for that. They treat you and your pets like family and take all the time they need to answer every one of your questions and provide detailed, helpful feedback. They are truly in the business of caring for animals and it shows.

I have been going to the same vet in this practice for 25 years only to be turned away twice for minor emergencies. The service the past few years has hit rock bottom. Long waits in the lobby and on the phone, 2 exam rooms for 4 vets. It takes forever to get in (if you can) I think they have forgotten why they became vets in the first place because it isnt to help people nor their pets.

The staff is lovely and the doctors know what they're talking about. I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else. This is by far the best bet clinic I've ever been to in my life.

They are often very, very busy. NHV has helped us through some (too many lately) tough times. Have a small escape artist. Prefer to board her here. It is secure & I'm not worrying about her while trying to relax!

The entire staff takes excellent care of my pups. I've done all of my annual visits and emergency visits at Nichols Hills Veterinary Clinic for the past 4+ years, and I've never had a single complaint. Dr. Bowles is very caring and patient, and explains everything I need to know in understandable detail. If at all possible, this will be my vet forever.

My dog had a uti- I dropped off the sample at 8am & was told they'd have results in an hour! I called several times to check if they had done the lab work but it wasn't done till the end of the following day & they called when their office was close so I had to wait till they opened the day after the results were given to me to get my dogs medicine. Also after getting her spayed I found several of her nails had been cut to the quick !! Terrible !
