Banfield Pet Hospital Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

This review is not just for this specific location, but all Banfield pet hospitals as I’ve been to multiple locations. They talked me into the wellness plan for my kitten when i got him and i thought it would be a good deal bc they said most things would be included in it, however every single time i took him in i ended up having to make some sort of payment?? even though i was paying $28/month in order not to do so!!!! Then i tried to cancel the plan and it had automatically renewed for a new year WITHOUT any type of notification, and even if your pet has passed away, you just finish paying out your plan. So i cancelled the plan but still have to pay $25 for the next 10 months even though we won’t even have an animal to take to the vet. VERY DISAPPOINTED, DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE PLAN. and i would choose a different local veterinarian to use.

I accidentally called here instead of the PetSmart grooming department and was met with disrespectful comments by the woman who answered. The women nastily said they can't take in pets off the street. My pet is not off the street! I've had him 16+ years. I made an honest mistake in calling to get services done in a new area I moved to only to be met with what seemed like an employee with lack of empathy. In addition, she kept on with her disrespect by telling me she cannot transfer me. I didn't ask to be transferred!! It was like she wanted to unload on me. I thought I should let it go but I feel like others should know about this location. I will NEVER consider using Banfields services. I have been going to PetSmart for years to get my dogs nails trimmed and they've always been kind. Banfield is a different story.

I called this location last Sunday at 930 am to check availability for an emergency the day of. While I understand that it is an emergency clinic and can/will be booked, I never got a call back and the lady might have been having a terrible day. The "customer service" representative, of whom I don't remember their name, advised they had no openings. That was fine. I asked if she could see if any other locations had availability by chance? Rather than saying she couldn't see all the locations within her system she advised in a very off setting tone that SHE would call and ask the other locations and call me back. She took my number down like she was actually going to do something for me but I am almost certain after she hung up with me she did everything but check the availability at the other locations. Needless to say, she never called. Took my fur baby to City Paws Urgent Care and was seen within minutes! Don't pay for companies like this who charge outrageous prices because they are simply the only ones open as emergency vet clinics. I will never consider any Banfield location or the establishments they are in again!

Between here and Texas, they've always treated all my dogs and cats great. I'll always be be loyal to them.

Good hospital. Every one I've used has been a little different in good and bad ways.

Always take care of our family dog. They have been amazing! Staff here is so awesome, helpful, and amazing! We will continue to visit them as needed.

Super funny that i had to find out from another vet that this place intentionally under dosed my dog so i would have to come back for "multiple treatments" when i brought him somewhere els they gave him the prove dose and treated the problem without trying to scam me this place is a scam and when i tried to talk to them about getting me the right dose they tried to charge me for it. I had an appointment set up specifically with the vet that I saw last time to fix this issue and when I got there and explained all of this to the lady up front she tried to tell me that the vet that I needed to see wasn't there that day and then I got confused as to why I had an appointment with a vet who supposedly wasn't even there she then found my appointment and tried to get me to sign something without giving any information as to what I was saying trying to charge me for the appointment so i get there and they try to tell me my appointment doesnt exist and the vet that i had appointment with that day wasnt even there this place is a Joke and a scam

I just have to say this is the best clinic I’ve ever experienced. They are so personable and attentive to your pets’ needs. Any time I bring my cats in for an appointment where they have lab work done or anesthesia I receive a call from the vet with an update on their health and how the appointment went. I can’t express the relief they’ve given me. Dr. Barker has given me personal advice for some of my more exotic pets- she’s so generous with her knowledge. Dr. Fielding has shown so much love for my cats and always makes sure they are comfortable, it’s so fun to gush with her about kittens. Dr. Herron is wonderful and so kind, showing so much empathy when our kitten Laslow was showing stress. All the nurses there are absolutely stellar and WANT your pet to be healthy and well. Ren always makes sure my babies are scheduled and has a wealth of advice to give. I was even given coupons when my Great-Grandmother passed away to help with food costs. I honestly can’t thank the staff enough for all they’ve done. Seriously, you are all the best in the universe! ???? Love you all!

Dr Herron is amazing! Very professional and very understanding! Dr. Fielding is also very sweet with my two dogs! When a problem arises they take the time to look into it and offer help. Great place to take your fur babies ????????

The staff treats your fur baby like family. The doctors take the time to explain everything in layman's terms. Check-in and check-out is a breeze.

We have used Banfield as our vet for a few years now. We see different doctors which can be a little frustrating at times, but we have enjoyed the doctors we have worked with. Everyone is very sweet and caring.

Way too expensive!! They have limited knowledge and it more like they want to get pets in and out to makr more money.

Been going there for over a year, friendly, competent staff, and no complaints.

I've used them before for diabetic cat and have started my kitten. Their plans make vet visits and care affordable, and I always get great service.

Dr. Heron is incredibly nice and genuinely concerned about her patients. After my dog passed they sent a sympathy card the team signed which was very sweet.

Dr. Herron is awesome! She has cared for my pets for a few years now and everytime one has been sick or had allergy flare ups, she has been very informative on getting the dogs back to normal and very caring. This Banfield pet hospital isboverall a great place to take your pets.

There was a male doctor at this location years ago when I first got my cat that was amazing. Since then I have moved around the OKC area and never found another banfield vet I liked as much. That is until I moved back to this location and found Dr. Barker. She is incredible with all of my animals and very personable. I go out of my way to make sure my animals are scheduled with her and not another doctor. By far my favorite vet in OKC!

all they care about is the money coming out of your bank account every month. I’ve been taking my dogs here for a year and was just informed today that I should have been bringing one of them in once a month to get weighed for her monthly medicines which they haven’t told me about in 7 months. Not to mention she has been in there for multiple check ups without them sending the medicine home with us.
