Dr. King has shown so much patience and compassion toward my dog, Buster. Buster, like many dogs is very anxious when going to the vet and Dr. King is always so gentle and gives him treats throughout the exam. We love going to Dr. King. He is informative and has a true love for animals.

I called to get a script and whomever I spoke with, im assuming the vet, was extremely rude and unprofessional. I do not recommend anyone go here if they plan on being treated with human decency.

I wanted to schedule an appointment for our new cat to get his shots and the owner of the establishment was very harsh and passive aggressive towards me, he did explain that he was having a bad day due to his "workers being lazy" and not having any help. I was understanding until he became passive aggressive again and started pushing for an entire unaffordable plan for my kitten, he even insinuated that if I didnt get this plan that I was not taking care of my cat correctly . I let him know I just wanted the shots right now in a very polite way and he said that if I "wanted to get shots for my cat no questions asked then I needed to go somewhere else." This made no sense to me because I answered every one of his questions. When I expressed my concerns about his behavior towards me he started screaming at me and then hung up on me. Its safe to say that unless your animal is on the verge of death, I would look somewhere else to get a checkup on your family member, I do not trust anyone that takes their anger out on his clients. Very unprofessional.

I can't really say much about the service because I never actually got the opportunity to make an appointment. I was in the process of trying to get my dog in to be seen and explaining my situation when the Dr cut me off mid-sentence and very rudely said he wasn't taking any new patients. That's fine, but don't interrupt me when I'm speaking. If he's going to be this rude right off the bat, then I'm really glad I'm not taking my pet there. Just from this one short experience, I would never send anyone to see him.

I refer all my family and friends to Dr.King. This is such a fantastic vet. They truly care for your pets and Dr.King is top tier.

I am very disappointed with everyone in this clinic , my dog has been struggling with a skin problem and spent almost $3000 with visits , lab work , medication , etc . And my dog never got better . When i reached out to them and asked what was going on all i got was response from them saying its a skin problem it will always be an issue . I also want to mention that i called recently called and the dr started yelling at me because i did not want to give my dog a medication that i gave my dog for a whole year and did absolutely nothing. I advise that you never come here ! All they will do is take your money !

Friendly staff who really care about your pet. The vet is kind and conscientious. They also have boarding. I’ve always been pleased with their services.

Great service, VERY affordable, only problem is the wait, but that's not their fault. They are the only vet I will ever go to.

Took care of my doggo so well. Talked me through everything they would do, all tests they would run. Anything and everything they found, had solutions and treatments planned.

waited 1 hour then cat was took without me in the cage and could hear screaming he was scared and payed 100 dollars for asthma medication and tests.... Says i cant be in the room because he will bite me... Does not bite. dont bring cats there

SUPER GREAT STAFF! They ask great questions about my fur babies. Call to check on them a few days later. Everyone should use them. Great prices too!

Worst vet I have ever been to. I called because my dog had a cough but it was occasional and she had a seizure so I wanted to make sure she was okay because she’s 14 years old. Pulled up to the place they told us we couldn’t go in because my dog had kennel cough and that we would contaminate the place. So here we are in the parking lot getting her looked at can’t even hear him because of the traffic. Like what vet makes you stay in the parking lot, there’s a thing called disinfectant. They made me feel very unwanted like I had a plague and that it was going to kill everyone. Never going back again.

The staff here was great. And the follow up calls about my dog's welfare have been remarkable. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Very knowledgeable and a relaxed atmosphere

The people here are so friendly and caring. They helped me in my time of need when I had to put my fur baby down after having her for 16 amazing years!!!! (November 17th she would have been 16) I love this place and the people there!!!

Got my baby, Arthur from here. It was simple and easy. If you have any questions, they're very friendly there.

This is one of the very few vets office that I've actually looked forward to going to. The staff make me feel confident that my pets are getting the best medical care and even a bit of love too. Maddie is always a joy to talk to and tries to make my visits as easy as possible.

The dr.king was rude to my daughter when she worked for him.constantly picking fights with my daughter .unprofessional man

Dr. King is great , very knowledgeable and takes plenty of time to talk to you about your pets. The entire team is wonderful and they take great care of my old dogs. The prices a really good, makes it easier to take good care of your pets. Thanks Dr. King and team! I want to respond to the kennel cough 1 star rating! Thank you Dr. King for keeping my dogs safe! Kennel cough is air borne and cannot be cleaned up just by an antiseptic! My dogs have had kennel cough and he came to my car to see them! I was grateful that he cared enough to put other dogs wellness first, you’re still a 5 star in my book!

Great staff that truly cares

We take all our pets to Dr. King here at Shields Animal Clinic, we trust him IMPLICITLY with the care of our family pets. We are always greeted with excitement and they remember our names, pets and situations without looking at a chart. You are not treated like a number, nor are our pets. We also feel like he is not just out for the almight dollar, but in this because of his genuine love for animals. It shows not only with his care, but also with all of the staff members we have ever encountered. My wife also started a rescue with our daughter, Adriana's Saints and Angels rescue. We take all our rescues to Dr. King. He is kind, compassionate and willing to educate us in all areas on how to best treat not only our pets, but also the rescues we bring in. It can be very hard when dealing with disease, abuse, neglect and abandoned pets, but he genuinely cares about our cause and helps them in every way possible. He makes even the toughest situations bearable because of his kindness, compassion and empathy. The health and welfare of the animals comes first and we can't express how much we appreciate all he does for them! If I could recommend him and his staff with 10 stars we would as 5 doesn't feel worthy enough for them! They are truly the best and we will always take our pets here! The best veterinarian in town, definitely honest and always great service! We take all our dogs here and even will be bringing our rescues here soon! Dr. King cares, as do his staff and that's the most important thing ever! He saved the life of our 16 yr old dog after an attack too! They know my dogs by name every time we come in. Thank you for always being incredible!

Fantastic staff. They call and check up on our fur baby. If you have a question the girls can't answer, they will get the answer and call you back!!!
