My wife Susan and I took our African Grey parrot Weezer to Dr. Erby for a general exam and nail trim. Dr. Erby worked so well with him to make the entire visit easy on him. She talked to Weezer and to us the whole visit. She told him several times what a good boy Weezer was. She had an excellent assistant to help her. Dr. Erby allowed my wife to take videos of the visit so we could look back and listen to her information about working with Weezer Dr. Erby also gave us some papers with diet information to help change over to mostly pellets. Dr. Erby specializes in exotic animals and has an extensive knowledge of birds and their behavior. Our daughter JJ also takes her Guinea Pig Poppy to her. Annie our dog also loves Dr Erby. Your animals will love Dr. Erby and so will you.

I have taken both of my bunnies here to get neutered and for well checks and they have been so great with them!

Wedington Animal Hospital loves my Boba girl (dog)! They always love on her when we are there and calm her down. She’s been seeing them since she was 9 weeks and will continue to for the rest of her life. Our vet Dr. Hanson is the absolute best, she is so friendly and takes the time to explain everything to me. They genuinely care about the animals health and develop relationships with them which is everything to me. The front desk staff is also super friendly! They work hard and they’re were my first impression to the clinic and one of the reasons I love bringing her there as they are always so excited to see her!

We LOVE Wedington Animal Hospital. We have used them for our dog for the past 6 Years. We have never had anything except quality care for our dog and a friendly staff.

Dr. Hansen is the nicest and kindest vet! She is so sweet and willing to go above and beyond to help!

I brought my sick puppy in late one night and Dr. Roland was incredibly kind, patient, and listened so well. She went above and beyond to help my puppy while also protecting my wallet. If you visit Wedington Animal Hospital, you MUST request Dr. Roland!

Other than a Long wait to be seen. I found the Vet who looked at our Rabbit very Professional and feel good about the entire experience. I will be going back if our Rabbits need further care or follow up I would recommend them highly but wish we did not have to wait so long to be seen

Great hours, called at 10am and got an appointment at 7:45 pm the same day. After a few days and one amputated toe my kitty is back home. One thing I will say is that their. Communication is awesome, I wish people hospitals had the level of communication that Wedington animal hospital has.

Dr Erby treated my bunny as kindly as I would. My bun is home and doing great the same night. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They worked with me the whole way through her treatment.

Dr. Roland is the best, and so is the staff!!!! My sweet dog had to stay overnight, and they made sure she was very taken care of - they even sent me pictures of her every few hours. 100% recommend this place.

Everyone there is Absolutely incredible! Took such great care of our dog after she was attacked by a hawk! Because of them she is fully recovered!

We needed to have our rescued pup checked out before having her fixed, so we made an appointment and got her checked out and given updated shots. She had been living in a field for the past 9 months so her claws were like talons, she was dirty and covered in ticks, and, to make things interesting, she had very little interaction with humans and other animals. We were able to be seen quickly and the staff was WONDERFUL; the treatment they gave our baby was really heartwarming and they were very helpful in ensuring our vet visit was a positive experience. When she came to the lobby, our Margaux was so clean, manicured and radiating with joy; she was so happy and not the least bit scared. The staff also helped me harness here before going into the lobby with the other animals. Later that evening we had to come back for an emergency visit, but we called, got in IMMEDIATELY (30 mins from me calling), and were taken care of. They gave us everything we needed, including treats for our baby. In the future I plan on using them for all our pets' needs!

This was r first visit. We found out r dog has cancer Dr Roland was wonderful I can’t say enough about her! Took my 8 week old grandchild, Carti. First time check up she was very eager and professional and friendly! She treats everyone like family, and makes sure pets needs are accounted for.

I'd like to preface this by saying if I could give less than one star, I would. I brought my cat here initially because it was close and I hadn't heard much about them other than the convenient location. I'm sure this is how they ensnare most of their unwitting victims. While I looked past seemingly surface-level errors--marking my 5 month old kitten as a canine in his file, for example--I should have seen the red flags. After a few visits for kitten vaccines, in which the vet told me I did not need to worry about flea or tick treatment because my cat is exclusively indoors and was barely 5 months at the time, I got home and noticed that he was acting strangely. A couple of days later, he was completely crawling with fleas. At first, I had no idea where they could have come from; he never goes outside, and I've never had a pet with fleas in my life. It took me a day or two to have the shocking realization that the person I trusted with my animal's wellbeing had actually caused him to get fleas. When I called to inform them that my cat had gotten fleas from their clinic, the staff brusquely informed me that I could come pick up a prescription for $50. I asked if I would be paying the full price since 1. their doctor had told me I didn't need to worry about preventative treatment, and 2. they had given my cat the flea infestation in the first place. I hadn't thought it possible, but their tone soured even more and told me that I would in fact be paying them full price to get rid of the fleas they gave me to start with. Needless to say, I did not go pick it up, but instead made an appointment at Family Pets, who have been nothing but kind and helpful in dealing with this mess. Upon asking around, I heard countless horror stories from friends and coworkers about how Wedington Animal Hospital had tried to amputate or euthanize their animal for something that another vet fixed within a week or two. If you love your animals, you won't bring them to this cesspool. And if you have the misfortune of setting foot or paw in there, prepare for a few thousand unexpected pests to accompany you home.

My name Barbara Jau n e t receptionist vet tech and the doctor were very helpful very kind and concerned I enjoyed being in their company at all time very concerned unfortunately check Maggie's records I forget his name but I'm sure it is on her record they were very concerned with what happened with Maggie but definitely but definitely w e r e very caring very calm and very courteous I'm very happy with how Maggie and myself would taking care of even though I wasn't a regular patient I was from out of town and had an emergency they took quick courteous quick and quality care Maggie if ever I'm in that area again I will want to see him again and I have told my girls my boys and my grandchildren about him and they will be taking their animals to him from now on on a regular basis I will from now on and so will my family be seeing your clinic when needed all of you have impressed me and I thank all of you I'm taking care of my precious baby Maggie thank you again very much look forward to seeing you again for something not so serious

Wedington Animal Hospital got my dog in the same day I called and gave him amazing service, at 8:00 on a Friday night. They really impressed me! Everyone was kind and helpful, I highly recommend them!

We took a stray dog in that had been hit by a car. Everyone was very nice and very helpful.

They were able to see slick very promptly and did his surgery same day. Would definitely recommend!

We've taken our pup to Wedington Animal Hospital all her life, and we always feel like she gets good care. The vets and vet techs all take the time to explain everything, make our dog feel as comfortable as possible, and help with anything we need.

Dr Herring has been our bet for 27 years. Yesterday we had an emergency with our 15 yr old dog and we knew it would mean that we were going to Lose our Jake. Dr Herring explained to us what had happened to Jake and that there was nothing that could be done to help him, which we knew and understood. Dr Herring was so compassionate while we were holding our boy as he put him to sleep. This was not our first experience with Dr Herring putting one of our dogs to sleep. He always gives them a sedative first which puts them into a deep sleep before he gives the medication to end their suffering

Called and specifically went over the vaccines to be given to my dog and the cost of each vaccine. Confirmed 3 times on the phone. When I arrived, the vet attempted to pull a bait and switch and refused to provide the vaccines without an expensive "exam fee" and other treatment I did not approve for the dog. This place is dishonest and a racket.

We have been with Dr. Rolando since my pups were roughly 7 weeks old. She is truly an angel! The crew truly has the best interest of the animals at heart! The crew are the sweetest people and love your pets like their own!

When you can actually get someone on the line between busy signals and being on hold over 10 minutes, the front staff are unprofessional. My animals were seen there within 3 months and they declined to fill my prescription request for flea and tick medication online. I asked to leave a message with my vet for clarification. I never heard back and was ultimately hung up on when I tried to follow up. This lack of communication has been a theme. I was required to bring in my puppy for three separate visits before they could agree upon what surgeon was qualified to operate on her. Her vaccines were given too close together, not on schedule at all. All I've done is try to take care of my animals but this vet clinic doesn't seem to care. I'll take my business elsewhere, I can't imagine running a business where clients are treated so unprofessionally.
