We had a great first visit getting our pup UTD on her shots and diagnostic tests. Kam and Dr. Thomas helped us feel right at home.

Let me say first off that I’ve only been here a couple of times. My first pup I brought here was seen by Dr McClain. She was the only vet that diagnosed my dog with a heart murmur which he unfortunately passed away from multiple problems and Dr McClain and her team were so thoughtful and sent me and my husband a card to help us get through our hard times. Fast forward to our 2 new puppies, everyone there has done an incredible job with handling our pups and caring for them as their own. This is the place you want to take your pets to without worrying about them being mistreated or a wrong diagnosis. Everyone here is very professional and do an outstanding job. This is the only vet I will ever take my pets to now!

I have two cats and a dog and they are great for them with good service

Took my yorkie here to have a minor procedure done because my dog was in a lot of pain. They got me in quickly and did an awesome job and charged us half of what we paid in St Louis so I would recommend this place to anyone with pet troubles

Even without an appointment and Doc in surgery with a room full of appointments she took our dog in who had swelling in her face. I am grateful for this clinic.

Let me start by saying Dr Katie McClain truly cares for all her patients and their owners and delivers quality medicine and compassionate care. My pekingese Lettie was so nervous, but she was very soft and gentle with my pup as we worked to address some mobility issues due to her aging. By the end of the visit, Lettie had stopped shaking and was comfortable with Dr McClain manipulating her hind end in a series of PT exercises. While waiting for our appointment I witnessed Dr McClain take time with all the other clients ahead of us, explaining things and making each pet owner feel listened to. I didn't mind waiting because I knew she was providing genuine, personalized care to each patient. The staff was sweet and attentive and made sure both my dogs got plenty of attention (and treats!). I would definitely recommend Dr McClain to anyone!

I came here not to long ago switching my dogs over from Catoosa small animal hospital. And the quality service is so much better! They are hands on getting the job done. Really good with responding to questions and are knowledgeable. They really do a good job with explaining what they recommend and what they’re gonna be doing. They don’t throw you short answers. Doctors and Staff are so friendly and caring. Would highly recommend!

Such a caring staff from the front office, to the back room staff. I would highly recommend them for your pets care.

My cat had gotten sick and had blood in her stool I called this office freaking out and crying, because my cats are my babies. They got me a spot within the next 15 minutes (that's how long it took me to get there) and they saw my cat with in 30 minutes of actually being there. I'd called other vets before calling here and no one would get me in the same day, it was around 3:30. The office staff was super nice and caring, answered all of my questions and even when i started crying again they were so helpful. The vet tech who came and got my cat for her stool check was so nice even when I had let my cat out of her carrier in the exam room and she ran under the couch. He was able to get her to trust him in a very short time. He explain in detail what they were going to do and was super friendly. The vet was exactly the same way. She is by far the best vet I have ever seen. The gentleman who got the medication for my cat was amazing at explaining how to dose out the medicine and even how to administer it. By far will recommend this place to anyone who asks

The staff is wonderful. The vet, vet techs, and even the front desk receptionist were very attentive to both me and my pooch. I had a sick dog and our regular vet couldn't get me in. I called AMSH East and they were able to squeeze me in to get her checked out. The facility is very clean. They were up front with all the treatment and expected costs. My dog felt so much better the next day I could've sworn she was a puppy again. I'm thinking about switching over vet care permanently after the exceptional service AMSH gave my pup.

Our experience with Animal Medical and Surgical Hospital has been perfect. Their staff is always so kind and welcoming. Sara and Katie at the front are wonderful. Melissa and Dr. McClain are so sweet and kind to my pup. I couldn't ask for more! Dr Pfeffer is also great. One of my pups has really high anxiety when going to the vet and Dr Pfeffer was so gentle with him and really helped put him at ease. Highly recommend!

Took our cat in to get neutered. I did not think it was going to be that expensive. When my son told me that it was going to be expensive I called back and found out that it was going to be about $280 dollars to have pain meds, labs and the surgery itself. I asked how far they were in and they told me that the meds cost 50 dollars. I told them to cancel the apt and I was going somewhere else. By the time the animal was picked up the bill had increased to $141.70 because they had done some other work. I'm going down the street to Coweta and will pay between 50 and 75 for the same work. Overpriced, over rated. Watch out.

I typically don't leave bad reviews unless someone goes above and beyond a low bar. There is so much inconsistency coming from this pet hospital that I feel that I need to warn others. This issue is specific to my dog who's heart worm treatment seems to get more and more expensive was we go along. We spent several hundred dollars to have the heart worm situation taken care of only to be told that the shot & pills just killed the eggs and now they need to do 2 spinal shots and the dog will need to be watched over night for observation. That is aside from the expensive treatment plan that they were wanting to do moving forward. I love my animals, but this place seems kinda slow and that they are milking their customers. STAY AWAY!!!

Dr. McClain is amazing. She truly cares about Gus and making him comfortable. Keep up the good work. I know he is getting the best care.

We recently moved to the area, and we had a surprise pregnancy in our dog. They got us in quickly, even in the middle of a pandemic. Their service was top notch, and put my concerns to rest. We now have 7 healthy puppies. We won't go anywhere else for vet care!

I’ve been going to the same Vet for 10 years but I needed a Saturday visit. I searched google for a nearby Vet and I came across this location. I was impressed by their website! They offer in-office/same day services and world class medical technology (and of course they have outstanding online reviews!) From my initial phone call this morning, Sarah was extremely friendly and showed true compassion towards my concerns. She gave me one of their first morning appointments for me to bring in my furbaby (miniature schnauzer) Maggie, same day! Upon arriving, I met Ellen and Dr. McClain. I am without a doubt taken aback by Ellen’s kindness and Dr. McClain’s professionalism and warm hearted approach. You can tell these ladies are in the business for the right reasons. Dr. McClain’s veterinarian knowledge is extensive and she thoroughly explains every detail of the exam and appointment results so you feel comfortable understanding everything. I’m truly confident I’ll remain a customer at this location. If you’re looking for a compassionate, educated, polished team of professionals to care for your fur babies, look no further! We went in for a laser therapy treatment on our dog who hurt her hip. The technician was very kind and gentle. I have passed this office hundreds of times, but I thought it was an animal hospital not a veterinary office. I love that I’ve found them!!

Amazing and Awesome....everyone is afraid of my huge dog but they walked right in a gave him all the love he could ever want (and he wants a lot)….surgery was a complete success and we couldn't be more happy!
