JENS DOES NOT DO DOODLE GROOMING ANYMORE When we first went into Jen’s grooming, we had a pretty good experience as their old groomer Taylor took care of our dog pretty well. She actually quit from the institution. On the day she quit, our dog spent his full day there and when we got him back home his coat was maybe a half inch off of his skin. They said it was due to matting. We talked to them to see what we can do and they said if we put him on the maintenance program, then next time we won’t have to go this short. We also bought products from them that they use to ensure there will be no matting in the future. Come around time to groom again, our dog is now in the same state as the day Taylor walked out on them with his hair cut way shorter than we expected. The fact of the matter is that they don’t know how to cut curly doodle hair. We saw another doodle breed in the same state as our dog before our pick up.

I've been taking my dog here for at least five years. I used to live 5 mins away and have since moved 30 mins away and still bring my dog here for his grooming needs. They are reasonably priced, friendly, and do a great job! I also appreciate that they were able to get me in with a week-or-so notice. I've been keeping up with trimming my dogs fur through the pandemic (it was obvious I'm not a dog groomer), we are getting family pictures done this weekend so it was time for him to get groomed! My dog looked so good! I'm sure he felt so much better! Will definitely recommend Jen's Grrrooming to others! ☺️ Happy customer furever!

Have never really had a great experience but the last 2 times they have been horrible experiences. I have 2 bichons that we have taken to Jen's Grooming since Nov/Dec 2020. We have never complained to them and have tried to be flexible when they have had to make changes, but the last visit was the last straw. Our issues with Jen's Grooming: 1) Inconsistent cuts (not a big deal but never had this with other groomers) 2) They lost a groomer and when my dogs were supposed to go in they said they didn't have a reservation for them (I have a standing appointment every 6 weeks). To be fair, they did reschedule for a couple of weeks later and got our every 6 weeks standing appointment on the schedule again. 3) Our standing appointment was originally 10am they bumped it to 2pm (no big deal, we worked around it) 4) Took the dogs in at 2pm and were told they would be done around 5-5:30 (planned our schedule around this (twice) and the dogs were not done until 7pm). Didn't complain. 5) Cut our dog - around the dog's eye was nipped with the clippers (took 2 weeks to heal). Didn't say anything as I know dogs can move around and accidents happen and it wasn't something that was catastrophic with vision loss or anything (but it was painful with watery eyes). 6) Last straw - we were 15-20 mins late for our appointment (crazy day), they told us they couldn't take them because we were 30 mins late (we were not 30 mins late, but yes we were late). If we were always late I might understand this, but we have NEVER arrived late with our dogs. Never going back. We have bent over backwards to accommodate their issues (losing a groomer, being done 2 hours later than expected, and we show up 15 mins late, one time, and they can't take our dogs).

I took our Havanese to Jen to groom today! She did an awesome job. He hates going to the groomer but he acted really happy when I picked him up. Not stressed out at all. Her staff is professional and the girl (Lindsey) that brought him out to my car said he sat up by her most of the time and she played with him. I would highly recommend Jen’s Grooming to anyone that’s looking for a professional groomer and doesn’t want their dog all stressed out.

Jen and her staff are wonderful! They do such a great job with my English Toy Spaniel. He has a double toenail (he only has 3 toes on each foot) and it’s very difficult to cut. Jen does an awesome job with it!! He loves Jen and is always excited for his spa day!

My dogs board here when we leave town. They are so excited at drop off, it makes leaving them behind so much easier. I messed up my drop off time and they were so understanding and accommodating. The way they care about us and our pets means a lot!

I was really good at taking my puppy to get his hair cut (clockwork every 4 weeks). One day they said they couldn’t cut/comb his ears because they were concerned of some blood filled blister there or something. I took him to the vet and it was just matts of hair. His ears had to be shaved. This shouldn’t have happened and wouldn’t have happened had they cut his ears as they were supposed to previously. I had my vet’s groomer shave his ears. Was a very expensive hair cut between the initial cost, vet trip & second haircut cost. No apology, no discount, nada. Also, fam friend of mine went here and had the same issue with their pup but on the inner ear. Be careful!

Today we have a horrible experience at this place. Our dog's hair tends to matte very easily no matter how much we brush it and Jen would tell us to schedule his grooming appointments earlier than before so his hair doesn't get as matte. I scheduled an appointment a month ago. My dad went to drop him off and when we got there, Jen told him the appointment was only scheduled for a shower, not a grooming. We have never gotten just a shower done here before and I always book the appointments myself so I know I said the appointment was supposed to be for a full grooming. But we still left and rescheduled for a week out. The day of the last rescheduled full grooming appointment, we got a call a few hours before the appointment telling us that Jen is sick and that we would need to reschedule again. Now we don't know if Jen was actually sick but we believed them and still rescheduled even though we were worried about our dog's hair because Jen's the only groomer at this place that has worked well with our dog. All of the other groomers that work here are too rough with him. Today, my dad went to drop my dog off at 8 am. When he got there, one of the groomers (not Jen) said my dog's hair was too long and too matted and that she doesn't think they can cut his hair. My dad got very angry (rightly so) and said that we had been trying to schedule for the past month because of this issue and they had been rescheduling us. She said that he could drop Charlie off and wait for Jen to come and see for herself. So my dad dropped him off because we wanted to see what Jen thought of his hair. We called around 10:30 am to see if Jen had arrived, she hadn't. I asked why we dropped our dog off at 8 am in the morning if Jen hasn't even come yet? The receptionist said it's because they need to give him a bath. It takes 2.5 hours to give him a bath? Anyways we said we need Jen to let us know ASAP what her plan is for my dog. Receptionist said she would contact Jen and see where she is. They called me back, said to pick my dog up and she told us to go somewhere else. I called again and said if that's what Jen said and they said no and that they've been trying to contact Jen but she isn't picking up her phone. So it's 11:00 am now, my dog's been there for 3 hours sitting in small crate and Jen's still not there? Was she even supposed to be coming in that day? We decided to just go and pick my dog up. This was just absurd. They still hadn't gotten in touch with Jen and this is her grooming salon....shouldn't she be worried about her clients? We had seen Jen a month ago when we had to reschedule the first time, couldn't she had told my dad right then that she thought his hair was long and that she doesn't want to see him? No. Jen and her staff have been purposely trying to avoid us. If they didn't want us as clients all they had to do was tell us when we were trying to reschedule his appointment 3 times!!! We thought Jen would care about her business but she obviously does not. She has no idea how to behave with her clients and can't even call or talk to them when we try to contact her. I recommend NOT bringing your pet here if you would like them to be treated well.

I took my very timid puppy mill mother of 4 years to Jen's today for grooming. Taylor did an EXCELLENT job, Lily looks adorable! The staff there was great it was just a great experience all around I definitely recommend Jens! Thank you for taking great care of our Lily.

My papillon is 9 years old and had never been to a groomer. They made it a great experience! I could tell he wasn't upset by the experience at all. He was posing like he was in a dog show- and looked like it too!

My dog came here for many years and I've even recommended people to Jen's because their pricing was fair. Today I went to pick up my dog and they tried to charge me double what I used to pay. The front desk said they lost my file so couldn't honor previous pricing. I asked to see a formal pricing list and they did not have one just tried to explain why they were doubling the cost. We will not be coming back and will be going to Aimee's instead right down the road. I prefer Aimee's but they were booked. We won't make that mistake again.

Erin is our groomer at Jen’s Grrrooming and she is the absolute best! We recommend her any chance we get. Our dog not only looks and feels amazing after each grooming, but more importantly our dog loves going to see Erin. Erin has a true love for dogs, and we are so lucky to have found her!

Ummmm is this place serious? Called and spent 45 minutes on phone listening about how they are down a groomer - probably because they are poorly ran- so I had to schedule Out- so I waited three weeks for a bath and anal gland appt. drive from new Albany and they said I don’t have you on the schedule but I remember talking to you and have you written down. Sent us back with the dog and no appt. Ummmm yeah not recommending this place. Someone give them a lesson in business.

Took our Golden Retriever to get groomed on Tuesday June 12th. Thursday the next week he was coming down with a cough, on Friday June 22nd we had to taken him to the vet an he had acquired kennel cough. This is the only place he had been. Also the lady that took him to the back when I dropped him off was very rough with him. This was the second time we had him to this groomer. The first time a man took home back and was great. May really have to think about taking him back.

We have gone here twice to get our dog groomed as it is close to our home and reasonably priced. Both times our dog has been matted and they have done a great job shaving him and giving him a good cut. After our most recent visit we noticed what looked like small scabs/knicks inside both ears. They were in the same spot on both ears. Since they have turned into a minor infection. He seems to be alright but it is disconcering that his had to happen and that no one mentioned that he might have been knicked during his session.

If you like your dog I would not recommend this groomer. The lady was rude and seemed overwhelmed by the workload. Told us our dog was uncooperative needs to behave better. He left petrified. Our dog was a mess for 3 days afterwards. Not to mention we had to take him elsewhere to fix the haircut. The other groomer has seen him 3 times and seem to love him. We have never received a negative comment about his attitude. He leaves happy and actually looking nice.

I have been bringing my goldendoodle to Jens for quite a while now. I love the groomer who currently does her cut however the front desk office staff needs much improvement especially when setting appts. This is the THIRD TIME they have screwed up my appt day. My husband travels from the westerville area to Powell for her appts only to get there and be told there is no appt that day for her when we verify it prior!!!. This is a waste of time for me and will be looking for a new grooming facility!!!

I was recently looking for a new groomer and after some research decided to try Jens Grooming.We have had regular visits over the last 6 momths and couldn’t be happier. The newer reviews on here are outrageous. The service they provided it top quality to the pets as well as the people. How an appointment time was misunderstood is beyond me as they send you at text message the day before to confirm your appointment? My dogs have always come out happy and looking fantastic. The cut is always great and the groomer as well as my dogs are always happy to see one another. If you want you puppy to be with people who treat them like their own I highly recommend Jens! The staff and service have always been wonderful!
