We switched vets after not agreeing with a lot of things and have loved barrels busack so much more. They take everything into consideration on wellness visits, and I've found them to be very knowledgeable also on my dog's (2) weight concerns. They helped me change their eating routine and kibble option to get them back on track. I've just really always appreciated thorough veterinary care and while they seem a bit higher priced than other locations, I'm planning on staying. Quality care is priceless.

The staff here is courteous, knowledgeable and caring. They take there time with you when at an appointment or when calling in with a question or to make an appointment. They treated my dog as if he was theirs.

I had an amazing experience at this animal hospital. My cat was having urinary issues and with me being a first time cat owner I was so scared! They got me in same day and Dr. Busack and his tech were wonderful! He was very thorough when he did the exam and was explaining to me everything he was doing. Both were very friendly and compassionate. I would absolutely recommend this place! They are a bit on the pricier side but you know you are getting the best care so it’s justified! :)

Money grubbing corporate slugs. I have an old big dog , 155 pounds that I cannot get into the car any longer, and they refused to refill his eye drops and joint medicine without me bringing him in, which is impossible at this point in his life. When I explained this they reused to help. They care more about profits then the over all well-being of my dog, I imagine it’s the same for all pets, they are nothing but a profit center for these greedy so call health care providers!

I will not give to this clinic another nickel of my business until my last day on this Earth. Last night, this "hospital" that I have faithfully taken our dogs to for over 20 years, violated the most sacred of ethical compacts with pet owners imaginable. At 12 minutes before closing, I called them to tell them that my dog, not even two years old, had collapsed suddenly and unexpectedly after being fine and running outside. Struggling to breathe and going in and out of consciousness I told them I was on my way. They are 5 minutes from my house. "We close in ten minutes, we can't see him. You need to take him to MedVet." "MedVet" is a 20 minute drive from my house. My dog took his last breath about one minute before arriving at MedVet. When they checked him they heard a faint heartbeat, and then none. That extra 15 minutes was life and death for my beloved family member. Their callous, unprofessional, unethical, and selfish behavior is beyond unacceptable. It was inhumane. Nobody who has any concern for animals would turn away someone begging for aid DURING posted hours. Had this been a human hospital, it would have been criminal - or worse. If you want to trust your pets to these people, be my guest, but they are monsters in my book and have broken my heart. My name is Brian McCalla. I live in Seven Hills. Today is 9/18/2020. Call me if you think that I'm being dishonest. Come by. I'll show you the remains of my poor puppy. Addendum per response: In your facility was vastly better than in our automobile. There, he MIGHT have had a CHANCE to be be given epinephrine or stabilized so that we could get him to elsewhere. I'm sorry, I refuse to believe that dying en route was better. Further, your comments about this being a "very emotional time" (passive - aggressive patronizing suggesting that my logic has been compromised by grief) are typical condescension by those in denial of their own false position. You are entitled to turn suffering animals away from your practice, I suspect. That's your right. It's my right to advise other potential customers of yours of your behavior in one of those rare, desperate moments when you had the opportunity to walk the talk. In my mind, as a professional, you failed that calling. Miserably. My puppy and I needed a caring advocate. We were given, instead, a late night restaurant seating policy. If others are ok with that, it's their choice. I'll let them decide from an informed position. Your practice has lost its way. Period.

My husband and I have been very pleased with both the pet resort and veterinary services here. We boarded our two dogs here for a week and were given updates on how they were doing during their stay. They even checked up on them the day after we picked them up. Then when we had to have one of our dogs evaluated by Dr. Busack, everyone was very professional and prompt. As soon as I arrived, my dog was checked in and seen immediately and his treatment plan was well explained. Prices are fair for both the resort and hospital. Overall this is a very nice and clean facility to bring your pets to whether it be for medical or boarding/daycare purposes! I highly recommend coming here!

Our lab is family. We Love him and treat him like one of our own children. Amazing that your staff treated him with outstanding medical care and professionalism along with love and kindness. Yes you’re a little Pricey but you fixed him and you seemingly loved our Charlie. Thank you.

I hate to say this, however, during the most difficult times I did not experience high quality of customer service. Team seemed so professional when we communicated. Unfortunately it was not the case. I was told that the body of my loved animal will be wrapped in a special bag. It turned out not to be true. My animal was given to me in with incontinence pad. Thats all. So disturbing. Question is to you, dear team, would you want your loved animal to be wrapped in incontinence pad? How would you go about it?

I just switched my two dogs it was always really hard to get an appointment for my dogs with my previous vet (specially emergency appointments) A friend recommended them and took my one pup in and I was very happy with the service and how they treated her. They were professional, answered all my questions and when I called the next day for another question they called me back with an answer from the doctor within 10 mins! definitely worth giving them a try!

My kitty girl needed emergency surgery. I called and they were able to get her in within the hour. Dr Busack called to update me after her surgery as well as periodically throughout her recovery. I am so glad I brought my girl to this facility. Everyone was extremely nice, communicative and professional. I will absolutely be back for anything else my cats need. I highly recommend this pet hospital!

Disclaimer: I have never been here and I can't speak on the quality of the people who work here. The woman I spoke with on the phone was very polite and professional. My issue was price. I was calling around to get a puppy fixed. The cost among the places I called was anywhere from 80-300$ depending on a clinic or a vet and their specialities. I called this place despite being told by friends that they try to rip you off with extra services. I was told the process to get my dog fixed would be $700+(!!!!!) Ridiculous! I'm simply writing this review to make people aware of the process here and how they try to stack "extra" services on top to increase order. Beware

Recently took my dog here for a couple nights due to us having to leave town. I worked with Felicia for the whole process. She was a huge help and gave me a tour and made me feel really comfortable with the whole process, and answered any questions I had. After I picked him up they even called and asked how he was doing since we picked him up. I highly recommend Bartels Resort and Spa.

We had such a good experience with our dog Melvin !!! We got frequent updates and even pictures of him recovering from his dental procedure. They had everything ready for when we picked him up and I was even able to speak and see the doctor and review Melvin’s xrays !! Very friendly and highly recommend!!!

Wish I could rate this place with 6-stars! Bartel's Pet Resort is the only place in the Cleveland are where I will leave my pooch when traveling. Their staff is made up of genuine dog lovers, and as such they take such good care of him! Potty time 5 times a day, strolls in the park, puppy laptime, and a room with a TV + camera... what else could you ask for? In addition, our dog is on a raw diet which makes it difficult to board him, but the staff at Bartel's was extremely accommodating and made the experience pleasant for both us and our pooch! Special shout-out to Lori, Karen, and Jen who always take such a good care of Lulu whenever he's there!

They handled my special needs cat with outstanding compassion up to her passing - later they were thoughtful enough to call me about a potential adoption - and now they continue to give top notch care to my new girls! I strongly recommend them

Update: Dr. Busack continued to be very good and knowledgeable, we were able to solve some health issues with our dog thanks to some very good suggestions from him. Would highly recommend. First visit, went well. Dr. Busack was thorough, knowledgeable and experienced. Nice clean facilities. Staff was friendly. Worth the visit especially if you're looking for more complete and longitudinal care.

Unfortunately I had to say goodbye to my best friend Marshal Dillon on Saturday. His back legs no longer worked and he was full of cancer, he couldn't walk and had to be carried in a sheet to transport . A gurney was brought out to my truck and and he and i were taken to a nice quite room where I could say my goodbyes. The staff was awesome during this of the toughest times , thank you for quick responses to my call and letting me spend our last moments together.

We recently started taking our cat here and they were wonderful. I was shocked by how much the staff knew and how much they informed us and kept us in the loop with everything! Our cat HATES the vet and they worked so well with him.

Very nice place and good doctors... Why do I love it? They have late hours! I was able to schedule a vet appointment at 8pm! That's fantastic. They also tell you exactly what everything is going to cost before the vet even touches your pet. Wonderful place, good people

They took such great care of my dog when he was sick. They fit him in within an hour of me calling and had an amazing team of proffessionals (and trainees) who took great care of him as though he was their own.

The staff at the hospital was wonderful to both me and my pup, but I couldn’t believe how expensive my visit was. I went in thinking it might have been a cracked nail, but was told it was probably a hairline fracture and needed X-rays. Nope, it was just a sprain. Frustrating that it cost over $500 to be told that all she needed was a splint and a few days in pain medication.
