I found Diamond Cut Dog Grooming School online while searching for a dog grooming school near me. Their website was very professional and informative. I called them to schedule an interview and they got me in right away. Doug did an excellent job showing me their facility and explaining everything about the school and the grooming equipment they use. Doug and Nancy are so kind and caring. They truly want to help you succeed. They will help you with anything you need help with including information about the area, directions to their facility, where to stay, etc. Nancy has many years of experience to draw from, sharing a wealth of information and advice on grooming techniques and running your own business. I was a student with zero experience in dog grooming or bathing when I started and when I left I could actually groom! Thank you Doug and Nancy for such a wonderful experience and for all your help!!

My experience with Diamond cut dog grooming over the past two weeks has been exceptional. Nancy has readily shared her extensive dog grooming knowledge and techniques throughout the entire course. She and Doug have applied an even amount of hands on grooming with class study/note taking, that prepares you for real life dog grooming situations and customer interactions. As a current student at Diamond Cut, I am beyond grateful I picked this school. I was amazed by how much I learned in just the first two days! Nancy passes on her wisdom of the dog grooming industry in a way that keeps you interested. I LOVE how compassionate both Nancy and her husband Doug have been towards me during school as I grieve the loss of a dear friend. Nancy stayed patient with me and helped me believe in myself even on days where I felt like giving up. Grooming is A LOT of hard work, but as long as you stay dedicated and pay attention, you will do great. Nancy has such a kind heart and a great love for dogs. I was impressed with the fact that she teaches us about dog food and the dangers of certain ingredients found in most commercial pet food. Along with that, Nancy is very knowledgeable about the risks of overvaccinating or using harsh chemicals on dogs. This appeals to me because I too take a more holistic approach to pet care. After graduating, I will start grooming for my business Wholistic Hounds, taking with me all the knowledge that Nancy so gracefully passed down to a future dog groomer. Thank you, Nancy and Doug. What I really enjoyed about my time here at Diamond Cut Dog Grooming School is that in the short amount of time that I was here taking classes, is that I learned so much and have used most of that information in class. I went from not ever having used clippers, to completely shaving down a dog in a timely manner. With these new skills I have learned from my time here at Diamond Cut Dog Grooming, I hope to save enough money from being a groomer at my current job at Dogtopia to opening up my own shop or even getting a couple of grooming vans together. Thanks to the one on one teachings from Nancy and Doug, I am confident about my goals and I see this being my end career.

I have been taking our dog to Nancy and Doug at Diamond Cut for almost five years now. Every single time, we leave with our baby looking perfect. They treat our dog great with all the works: baths, nails cut, teeth cleaned, ears cleaned, etc. Not only this, but Nancy is very good at making appointment times last minute and working around our busy schedule. We moved out of the Akron area and still make the commute for Nancy and everyone at Diamond Cut to care for our girl and we will continue to do so. Excellent quality from two excellent people!

We took our dog to get groomed at Diamond Cut Grooming. Nancy and Dog are experts in their profession. They were very accommodating with our appointment time. They are very in tune to our dog’s needs to ensure that she is comfortable during grooming. Nancy and Doug have been great! We wouldn’t take our dog anywhere else. Nancy is a high quality groomer. She always does a beautiful job with our babies. She's loves them as if they're her own. She and Doug are super friendly and I've had nothing but wonderful experiences with them. I "accidently" found her, and am so VERY THANKFUL I did. They are wonderful to work with and take special care to work with the special needs of my dogs. One of my dogs is terrified to have her nails done & Nancy takes extra care when doing her nails. Another of my dogs has some fatty growths and warts, and she's extra careful when grooming him to not only make sure his warts aren't accidently nicked (as has happened w/past groomers), but he also looks amazing when done! I highly recommend Nancy and Doug to anyone looking for a groomer!

Unlike a lot of the students that come to Diamond Cut Dog Grooming School, I know nothing about it. This opportunity to train with Doug and Nancy was basically handed to me, I was excited for a new learning experience. It’s in a quaint little spot in Medina and you could see they renovated the place to accommodate the grooming business. There’s no doubt that Nancy has a lot of experience, stories, tricks and knowledge. The hands on approach encourages students to be confident in their knowledge and training. The learn-as- you go approach isn't for everyone, but Nancy certainly rolls with the punches. I appreciate their time, effort, and teaching! With this schooling I intend on working with my employer and possibly starting a grooming business in the future.

Our Goldendoodle, 7 months old was EXTREMELY matted following his neuter surgery. We thought it be almost impossible to restore him to his good looking self!
