Veterinary Center of Hudson has the worst communication and lack of accountability of any vet I have been to. Multiple issues here over 6 months. 1. My youngest dog has anxiety and it is hard to get his nails trimmed. At a previous vet in Tremont prior to moving to Hudson, he was in and out of nail trims in 5 minutes. At VCH, we started with cheese on a stick, 2 trazodone prior, then a muzzle. For 2-3 months he was ok. Then once I sent him across the street to the grooming salon, was told he would not cooperate and he has been scarred since. After trying again at VCH, it was clear we needed sedation for nail trimming. I followed their recommendations exactly but they scarred my dog and now he simply cannot do nail trims without sedation. 2. I’ve tried boarding dogs with VCH multiple times. The third time, they tried overcharging me by a couple hundred dollars and called me one time while on a work trip to say he was being put in a isolation room, but there was no mention that was an extra $30/night. I tried calling back 4-5 times over the next 3 days and left a VM, with no return call or explanation. When I returned to pick them up, I was told I need to fork over an extra $250 and there’s nothing they could do. Short staffing was the explanation for not receiving a call back for an entire week. Bottom line- this place is experience high turnover and staff burnout. They overlook poor quality, customer service, and accountability. Compared to other vets in Cleveland, they are subpar and never lived up to the AHA standard.

Not the best vet in the area more of the kind of place set up to make money not relationships. My friends and i switched after a few bad experiences

Dr. Bestic saw our minischnoodle, Amelia, yesterday. He, along with vet tech, Lucy, were beyond amazing. Both were kind, knowledgeable, didn't rush through our appointment, and were so kind and gentle with our pupper. Due to being stopped in traffic on our way to our first appointment, we knew it would be difficult to make it on time. I called 15 minutes before our scheduled time and spoke with Diane (I hope I got the name correct!) and explained we may be a few minutes late. She was so understanding and put us at ease. Every staff member we were in contact with could not have been nicer. The exterior of the building is beautiful, from the Forever Lawn looking turf for a quick potty break (not sure it's Forever Lawn, but we have a Forever Lawn putting green and it sure looks like it!) to the parking and landscaping, a certain standard is clearly evident and achieved! When you enter the building, it is immaculate and and welcoming. The only downside is this: we wish we had joined this practice sooner! We were and are beyond impressed!

This was my second time using this daycare. They don't return phone calls promptly or at all. I called on the 9th and left a voicemail about boarding my dog for the following weekend. I never got a call back. I called today, the 13th since I did not receive a call back. They said no availability this weekend and there has been a waiting list for the past 2 days. I asked why someone didn't return my call when I called on the 9th. She said I can be added to the waitlist. That won't work; I needed my dog boarded this weekend for my wedding on the 16th. Don't use them if you expect responsiveness.

The staff at the Veterinary Center of Hudson are friendly and welcoming, the facility is clean and comfortable from the waiting room to the bathrooms, and the service provided is done with respect and dignity, for both the pet and the owner.

I took my pup there for a second opinion on his health. He is a very sensitive boy who stresses out very easily. Hes my wild child, and doesnt really like to be restrained. They really know how to work with my special boy, and he comes out of there stress free and happy. They do great with him.

This is a great Veterinary practice. We’ve had many pets and several vets over the years—this practice is outstanding! Diane, Ashley, Dr. DeWitt, Kody, Carrie and everyone we’ve dealt with have been fantastic—kind, professional, patient, knowledgeable! I would not trust my beloved pets to any other veterinary practice. Good medical care is expensive whether for human or other animals. This practice is well worth every penny! Thank you to everyone at VCH!

ZERO STARS! This was our first experience boarding our dog and we will never do it again, especially here. Our dog is clearly traumatized, lost her voice & having lots of bladder & bowel issues. We were told we could call and check on her during her stay but no one ever answered. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE!

As usual The Veterinary Center of Hudson’s service was fantastic. They took very good care of my dog during her tooth extraction. They were very responsive and I received text alerts throughout the day which was very reassuring. I can always trust that my animals will be in very good hands with all the vets and staff there! Very reliable and professional service.

Boarded our dog here, he got kennel cough there, then they wanted to charge me $50 for an evaluation plus meds. No discount or anything. Pretty bad service.

Initial visit for my dog was handled professionally. The vet addressed each of my concerns and made recommendations, both low cost, over the counter and other more expensive prescription options - allowing me to choose the best path.

My dog was diagnosed with SARDS recently. After doing a lot of my own research I realized that he needed what’s called an El-1 test to examine the values of his liver, kidneys, and hormones, and especially his cortisol level. I found a lab that would do the test. I called them and they recommended some places near me that would draw the blood and send it for the test. I brought my dog in for the test onNovember 9 of 2020. This test should be repeated every three months. Dr DeWitt Drew thé blood and sent it. I paid to have it overnight expressed to the lab. I was hopeful that I could finally get some answers that would help my dog live as healthy a life as possible. However, when I called after not hearing anything for 3 weeks I called VCH to find out what was going on. I was told that COVID-19 was holding things up but the vet would be right on it. Three more weeks past, I heard nothing. I called again and told the lab had not sent the results. But they would follow up and get my money back if needed. I also emailed Dr DeWitt directly at this time. Three more weeks past, I called again to ask about results and express my frustration. Again I was told that the lab had not sent the results, but the Dr would be right on it. I was tired of waiting. I called the lab myself. They said that even with COVID-19 they have been running no more than a week late. They emailed me the results within the hour and assured me that they would email them to VCH. I took it upon myself to email the copy I got to VCH as well and I called to be sure it was received. 3 days later, I got an email from Dr. DeWitt saying that the lab still had not processed my dogs results. Are you serious??!! I returned the email stated how frustrated and angry I was at this point about the lack of care and attention my dog was getting. But the good Dr returned my email saying he would be in touch about the results. Ten days later, I had heard nothing. So this time I called, asked for my money back. Ironically, the Dr was available to tell me about my results nearly 3 months later. I was told that Dr DeWitt had tried to get ahold of me several times. So I took some time to see if this was true. I checked every voicemail and missed call, nothing: every email folder, nothing, checked my snail mail, nothing. I felt cheated and lied to. I called back again I asked for my vet fees to be returned. I thought that was only fair since I did the leg work, the calling around, and the emailing. But today I was told Nope, they provided a service and therefore needed to be compensated. Now he is due for another test. I feel like all I got was the run around. The dr didn’t know about my communication with his office staff, didn’t communicate with the lab, and lied about communication with me. NONE OF MY ANIMALS WILL EVER RETURN HERE! And I will tell this to anyone who will listen.

A neighbor recommended VCH, I made an appointment and was not disappointed. Prompt, courteous, professional and reasonably priced. I really couldn't ask for more.

They're super nice and seem to really know what's best for your pet! They don't try to milk your money like some vets. I drive over 30 minutes to them because I trust them more than any other vet I have been to.

Dr. Bestic and his staff have gone above and beyond many times to help my friend and his cat. If you are looking for honesty, integrity and compassion in a vet look know further. It doesn't get any better than Dr Bestic and his staff

Very low class place, you would be surprised how low class the owner is if you have a problem with the service. Avoid this place.

We have been going to Dr. Bestic for over 8 years, and they are absolutely the best set of doctors we've ever been to. To us it's all about our babies, and they treat them like they were their own.
