Big thanks to Kim and the shelter helping me find the perfect cat to fit into my house! Love the adoption process that makes sure the animals they care for go to a good home! Björn (formerly known as mossimo) is already a perfect fit!! Keep up the great work and I will be recommending your shelter and team to anyone looking to add a fur baby to their home!!

Not going to lie. Disappointed that their site didn't say they wouldn't be adopting any cats out this close to Christmas. So instead of adopting out to a family that would be a forever home they rather adopt out to people who will let them go when something is wrong. If I would have known that I would have adopted from the other shelter we were at today instead of waiting for the 2 we really wanted.

I’ve found my future best-friend he’s super loving and caring and the staff are super nice and the process is super quick to adopt and very cheap i’m just glad I found him. :) btw his original name was “Marshmallow” such a cute name but I named him Oliver ????.

This shelter is very clean and well taken care of by all the volunteers and staff. All dogs are walked dailey, cages are extremely clean same for the cats and kittens. Medical needs are always attended too as well. I would highly recommend visiting this shelter if you are looking to adopt a shelter pet.

We had a very tough time making the decision to get rid of our pug and bring him here, but it was the best decision out of all the places we could’ve chosen. We expressed concern to them when we dropped him off, and they made it a point to stay in contact with us throughout the process so that we had peace of mind. They went out of their way to keep us updated and communicate with us, letting us know that he was in good hands and went to a good home. We couldn’t be happier and if you are struggling with which shelter to use, I would HIGHLY recommend these guys.

My husband and I adopted "Latte," now renamed Bane, about a year ago from PAS. We were told he had been returned twice. I was a bit worried because my two cats had never been around dogs before, but I was assured he was good with cats, and my husband REALLY wanted a dog. First, "good with cats" was an understatement - he and my big tom cat are best friends (the other cat tolerates him). The adoption was good for both of them! He has gained 20 pounds, weighing in at about 60 now, and he really thinks he is their size. We have no idea why he was ever returned - he's got a good bit of energy but is a good, super friendly dog overall. He just loves to be loved. The adoption process was super easy; we met him and went home with him very quickly after processing the paperwork. We will definitely be back when we are ready to adopt again.

I use to enjoy visiting the Parma Animal Shelter until my recent encounter with the lack of communication and unprofessionalism I received from the volunteers that work there. I have visited many times over the past few years and everyone seemed nice, professional, and gave the impression that they were well equipped with the adequacy to properly run a nonprofit organization. However, after attempting and failing to contact anyone via emails and numerous phone calls for weeks about two possible adoptions, just to receive excuses and rude responses from multiple receptionists, I strongly recommend the director, Samantha Kaplan, to reevaluate the skill set of the individuals that are responsible for the communication with potential adoptees, in hopes to mitigate all the issues myself and many others seem to experience fairly often. Hopefully the representatives of PAS can find a solution to ensure a fair and efficient process for future adoptees in order to give these animals the forever homes they deserve.

My name is Susan Farkas. Thank you thank you to these beautiful people for their help. To Loretta for answering my frantic message for help and to the amazing volunteers that greeted me. I had a kitten that showed up on my patio late at night. This baby cried and was so affectionate when I went outside. I couldn’t keep him and that broke my heart but I wasn’t going to leave him. I frantically called every possible source and an angel called Loretta answered me. This kitten begged for my help and you all saved him. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have gained a lifetime supporter. Bless you all.

I inquired about a lost dog I found and tried to adopt. This was a beagle named Patrick and this was in March. I called daily. I was told that I couldn’t see him because he was sick;only to find out that he had been adopted only a few days …

Found a lost house cat and they were very helpful in allowing me to bring her down and making room for her. Staff was very friendly. Very clean. Very easy to find. Reassuring there's a 3-day grace period to find its owner then they'll find a place for it to live not a kill shelter. Reassuring to know it's right behind a veterinarian for care of your animals. They also have many fundraisers to support their animals.

I brought in Samantha (who has now been renamed Sassafras) the kitty abandoned to the elements whose love & trust had been horribly betrayed & was left to die, starving & crying desperately for food. My wish is that she may find a forever home where she will be pampered & treasured as the princess she truly is. The volunteers are deeply caring & do amazing devoted work. I cannot think of any better shelter. Thank you for screening prospective parents the best you can. Last year's betrayed stray got an amazing home. Couldn't have been better. I truly wish the same for Samantha.
