I have used Hillcrest Animal Hospital for more than 30 years. Their services have been the best and I will continue to use them. They are a good neighbor in our community. Today 8/31/20 Oliver, my cat had his annual with Dr. Hanzel. Oliver and I are quite impressed with her. She's efficient and explains things very well. I think we'll use Hillcrest Vet for a lot more years! Oliver is now 7 and a proper brat cat!

I was very pleased with the veterinarian and her team at hillcrest Animal Hospital. Everyone seemed to care about Frosty when we brought him there, and the team gave quality time with his exam. I am so very grateful for the love and patience they showed towards us both.

I recently moved to Ohio several months ago-before coming to Animal Hospital I had the same vet in Virginia for over 20 years! I am happy to say that I have been very satisfied with the care & compassion shown by Dr. Carlson & the entire staff!

Awesome customer care and safe service! They are very thorough here and explain pricing and procedures in depth! They will be my dogs vet for life! I highly recommend them! Just had another wonderful, thorough and professional experience with everyone here at this office my dog had an ear infection they explained everything thoroughly with the pricing in writing before they did anything else! also on a side note for the lady(sharon h) that's in that other review about them cancelling her appointment she probably didn't check her voicemail like people do at my job because I work in a doctor's office so I think that her comment with the low stars was not fair, given she didn't even get there to get treatment for her animals ( she had another bad review too, so there is probably no pleasing her smh!) people like that don't typically work with the public and they don't understand ! they have a right to cancel appointments if something happens on their end. They are human beings like us too, it happens ( also these reviews have a huge impact on people's lives and businesses, so people should be mindful before they post something, especially negative comments)))! But I really really love this place I've had a lot of dogs over my life span and I feel comfortable going here!!

Have always had a great experience with Hillcrest. The Doctors, the technicians are great! I have used the word 'great' twice, so, not much more I can add to that!

Very kind and good at what they do. Been my vet since back on this side of town. Just did surgery on both my dogs on the same day and they are up and playing in under 24 hours. All the staff are nice and Dr. Hanzel does good work.

Been having a hard time finding a vet I like since I relocated. This location cancelled my appointment without my request. Took the morning off of work, drove all the way there and they said they were completely booked for the day. Didn't apologize for THEIR ERROR. *fuming* Don't recommend this HIllcrest location. They should have immediately accommodated for creating a big inconvenience.

My pets have been going to Dr .Cummings for over 20 years. She and her staff are competent, caring, and responsive to my pets needs. I have taken them to both locations at Hillcrest and Summit animal hospitals where quality services were provided . In addition to medical services my pets have also been boarded and groomed . I am most impressed with the time taken to education me on the best ways to keep my pets healthy and in the best condition. My dog and cats love their vet. Thank you.

I've been with the Dr.'s at Hillcrest Animal Hospital (Willoughby Hills Animal Hospital) for over 10 years. I've always been treated with dignity, as have my pets. The Dr's, and Tech's are incredibly professional, loving, and smart! I love the way they love my animals, and the gentle treatment we all receive when in their care.

This is my second visit to this facility. This staff were all friendly and wonderful. The vet and her assistant explained everything that was being done to my puppy and gave me literature to take home. This facility is highly recommended by me to anyone looking for a place for your pet to get good care.

I’ve had very good experiences with this vet. I have a reactive Doberman and they’ve been very mindful of his needs to make him comfortable. Also, their prices are just slightly lower than my previous two vets. Having spent a good deal on vet bills, they have never been pushy about spending more than what was reasonable, nor have they ever given me grief over getting more generic prescriptions from a retail pharmacy—even if that does mean less money for them.

I have had mostly good experiences but there have been many times where did not get my receipt which i would like to have. Dr.Hanzel does do great with Meatball but she is sometimes too brief with me and I just have a lot of questions so I get it but I would appericate more communication. Everyone is usually very friendly I did have someone a little rude to me before but everyone has bad days. They take great care of the pets and its reasonably priced so i cant complain to much!

Very fast to get back to you, even with the covid 19 issues. Courtesy is important as well as how they take care of my pet. I have been to too many make the buck and who cares about the pet Vet Clinics. I don't see that here, as I have had very positive experiences with them. I have to say that things went down with my experience with them. I had a gram stain performed by them for my bird and they sent it out to a lab. The results didn't make sense and cost me $94.00 for the gram stain. I get a call from them wanting me to bring my bird in and have her be put on a regimen of antibiotics and then tested again for the gram stain. I took he to another Vet Clinic on the West Side and they did a Complete Physical, gram stain and also a throat swap and even showed me four different views of the slides under the micro-scope that showed a healthy bird. Now I'm trying to get Hillcrest to reimburse me for the gram stain error of $94.00 as it cost me $145.00 to prove that my bird was healthy.

Update: Hillcrest Animal Hospital is helping stop the spread of the Coronavirus by coming out to your car to take your pet in for care while you wait, then bringing them out when finished. You get a call from the Vet whose taking care of your pet to discuss treatment options and costs ahead of time so you will know what will be done and how much it will cost. Best of all, there is typically a very short (< 5 minutes) wait once you notify them that you've arrived, so they obviously don't overbook appointments. All in all, a painless experience. I've started taking my senior cat Oskar and my senior dog Bogart here. The doctors and staff at Hillcrest Animal Hospital are all terrific. They are very friendly, knowledgeable, thorough, and obviously love animals a lot. Your pet will love it.
