My dog previously enjoyed puppy camp for 25 times before ever having an issue. It appears that since reopening after the pandemic that puppy camp has had an increase in campers. This is when problems happen. I asked today what the staff to dog ratio is and was answered with “we don’t have one” and “we try to have 5-6 people staff members but sometimes it’s only 3-4.” I asked the census of dogs and the average per day is 100 dogs!! Even with 5 people watching the dogs, that’s 1 human watching 20 different dogs. The ratio is something that is very concerning. So how many staff are watching the dogs during breaks or during lunch? EVEN LESS?? My dog has crazy energy and is a sweetheart. She needs attention and needs to be watched tentatively so she can be deescalated when playing with other dogs. With this increase in dogs, I just don’t see that being the case. I have been called three times to pick my dog up for incidences that had no report. I was given no information about what happened, but instead felt as if I was in the wrong because of how my dog behaved while I wasn’t even watching her! I pay for my dog to safely play with other dogs and to come home tired…. That hasn’t been the case lately. I am so frustrated with puppy camp. We have been campers for almost 2 years now and now won’t be coming back. After being a loyal customer, I’d expect some curtesy or refund at this point but was told that due to already having a military discount that I probably wouldn’t even get that much money back. It seems like they are more worried about your money and taking dogs that are easier to watch. I definitely feel as if puppy camp ran me and my dog out of the facility, and coincidently at the same time my membership was needing renewed. Poor management. Poor documentation. No willingness to refund, offer a different service, or do anything other than put my dog in a cage until I came to pick her up. Although my pup loved puppy camp and benefitted greatly from it, it is no longer safe for her or the other dogs in the facility. It is a shame that a place that provides so much fun for the doggies has little regards to safety and customer satisfaction.

I have been a client of Puppy Camp since 3 months after their opening 22years ago - my third dog just became a camper here and we are family. This is by far the very best doggie day camp anywhere. One of the owners is always on the premises overseeing the welfare of the dogs and the counsellors genuinely LOVE dogs and know them each by name.

I am the veterinarian of a NOW current client of Puppy Camp. I received a disturbing email from my client last night in regards to the manner in which an employee Susan spoke to her multiple times about how bad and out of control (I am paraphrasing here as I was not physically present) her young doodle was. (I should post my client's email so people reading this will know first hand what and who they are dealing with). Furthermore, my client witnessed Susan take off with the company van with other people's dogs inside and drove carelessly and recklessly into on coming traffic. My client was mortified. I called my client to get more information and she stated that her dog should be on a chewable heartworm preventative and not Proheart 6 as it is not a dewormer. That is false as it is for hooks and whips. My client also said that Susan stated she used to be a vet tech and giving medical advice is against the law! So I decided to call them last night only to get a volatile Jon on the phone. When I was trying to educate him about Proheart and other things, he constantly interrupted me, told me his son was a veterinarian, and when I asked who, he told me to "chill' and hung the phone up on me. I have advised other more polite and professional doggie day care facilities to my client; and I would give zero stars, however I cannot. In these hard times, it should not be that difficult to just be a nice human being and humanity to all. Now, knowing what I know from my client and first hand by an employee here, I cannot in good conscience recommend any of my clients to use this facility moving forward.

Only spoke with Susan and her husband via telephone scheduling a future appt with meet and greet before stay. I'm feeling very comfortable at the thought of leaving my fur baby this far.

Incredibly nice and super helpful with Otto. Otto loves them and it always makes me happy knowing that he's able to be at a place that he loves when I can't be home. They go out of their way to help me with my busy schedule

Tucker, my 7 month old pup, has been attending Puppy Camp for about 3-4 months now and he absolutely loves it! I'm so glad he has a place to run off all his puppy energy during the day while I am at work. The facility is clean and the staff are very welcoming. Tucker feels very comfortable with the human staff and daycare residents at Puppy Camp.

My Lunabear LOVES coming here. I mean would jump through the car window and bulldoze the front door of the building open if she could to get inside and play. I was googling places for weeks when Suzy saw me at Pleasant Ridge Pet Hospital and told me about Puppy Camp. She didn't tell me she was a part owner! Just that she worked there some days and would love to have Luna come. The location is convenient, right off Reading and MLK, and the environment is perfect for socialization and energy burning. So long as we can swing the money to take her regularly we never have to worry about her getting enough exercise around our long work and school schedules. They offer bathing and nail trims which is SO HELPFUL because we often head out of town last minute so being able to pay them to clean her up before pickup is amazing. Grooming appointments are about to start back up and I'm so excited for the on-site service. To Jim, Suzy, and all the other staff and volunteers... I can't thank you enough!

If I could give 0 stars I would. After attending puppy camp for a few months, we decided to use them to board our dog when we went on vacation. My wife and I quickly regretted the decision! We dropped our dog of on a Friday morning. 4 days …

Puppy Camp is far better than their description!! We came to Cincinnati for a day on fall break but wanted our dog to have a day of play as well. They were great with Luna no matter how nervous she was to be around so many dogs. When we picked her up she even got a bath!! Tired puppy AND smelled good! Thank you Puppy Camp!!

This is the best place in the area you can bring your dog. Susan and Jim and the rest of the team care about your dog like it's their own. Anytime we've had a question or issue come up with one of our dogs they are there to help, even after normal business hours. We trust them +110% and know they always look out for the best interest of our dogs. It's no surprise our dogs can't wait to get out of the car every time we pull up to Puppy Camp!

Wow. A must go for your pup! We've used Puppy Camp as our "play zone" for our pups for years. They run a tight ship. Mostly local doctors/nurses and downtown professionals find them. Few out-of -owners utilize them like nearby puppy …
