Pine Meadow Veterinary Hospital Yorktown, North Carolina

Recently moved to Virginia and one of my dogs developed some severe allergies that was causing pain to the point that my dogs behavior started to change. The first vet we went too essentially said" Welcome to Virginia. Allergies are common." And then constantly pushed for items neither of my dogs needed. Looked around for another vet and came across Pine Meadows. Was able to get an appointment within a few days. Explained what was going on and after an examination, the vet was able to prescribe some meds that has allowed my dog to be comfortable again and his behavior is back to normal. The level of care my dog received was amazing. We will be staying with pine Meadows Veterinary hospital.

As usual, the care was excellent! They fit me in for a minor emergency even though I did not have an appointment. My dog was seen quickly after my arrival. Great vet!

I had an appointment for 10:30 am to have my dog weighed for Heartworm and flea medications. I pulled into the parking space at 10:24 and called to let them know I was there. I was asked if it was an emergency or if I could hold. I was on hold for 18+ mins just to let them know I was there. At one point someone said “hi honey” and I responded with “hello”. She said, “Are you Mr. Calloway?” No, I’m not. Finally talk to them only to wait even longer for them to come get my dog. He was not thrilled to go with the man so I had to take him in myself to get weighed. Needless to say, I was there for 1 hour. This is ridiculous! If you’re not going to allow your customers inside the building then you need more staff to answer the phones so your customers aren’t there all day. I think we’re are going to find another vet. This has been going on too long.

Our Vet did an awesome job with bringing our beloved Puma back to health. Puma is back to himself.

Kind + Caring. Pine Meadow has treated my dog + cat children for 25+ years. I moved from Newport News but would rather drive 1 1/2 hours to see Dr. Mitzel than find another vet.

Worked with Ms Becky to obtain an international health certificate for two Lil ones heading to Italy. Super nice, very professional and helpful for a very hard task.

Dr. Mitzel is wonderful. He takes great care of my dog. The staff are great too! I highly recommend them.

It is obvious right away that the people here love animals. So happy we made the switch. They are so knowledgeable; my 6-year-old dog is the healthiest he has ever been thanks to their advice. I would recommend them to anyone.

I have all my pets set up there. The vets and front desk are super nice and willing to walk you through every part of your pets treatment!

I’m a travel nurse and my Golden (Dakota ) developed a toe “infection” that progressed very quickly. Even though I was not established with Pine Meadow they got us in ASAP. It turned out to be an aggressive form of cancer ???? The staff, the doctors were amazing through this extremely difficult time for us. Had surgery and although the cancer beat us the Pine Meadow pack took us in and held us close !! I can never express through words how much it meant to me and my pack to have the care and compassion that they provided!! Thank You from our hearts to our paws ????❤️????

Amazing service by those who care and went above and beyond to help our big baby. We were visiting and they just agreed to help.. They identified tumor and removed it quickly. These folks are the difference between those who have a job and those who REALLY CARE. Our dog is safely resting.

We love this establishment and love the people. Everyone is so kind and so sweet to our boy Zeke! Each time he is treated, he is treated with such care and love. Our most recent visit was extremely pricy, that is my only complaint. Besides that, this place is great!!

I love you guys and Sandy loves her doctor as well. Thank you Dr. Freeman you are awesome with her and I appreciate that.

I am so grateful that they saw my very sick pet when my vet of many years would not work him in for a sick visit and when the 24 hour emergency vet office did not even have a vet available. They have been so kind and caring. My dog ended up having surgery and they referred him to a great place and Pine Meadow has been great with after care....and I was not even a client of theirs. ....but I am now! I am switching to them for all future care.

This is our very first puppy so there are lots of things we don't know. We just got our puppy Flex on my daughter's 17th birthday. Days after getting him he got sick and needed to see a vet. We had a horrible experience at another hospital down the street. After taking to several friends with dogs and reading reviews about Pinewood we decided to make a followup visit with this location. It was the BEST DECISION EVER. I feel like Flex is in great hands. From the time I called and made the appointment and to the visit they made sure we were pleased with everything. They answered all of our questions and took time with Flex. I'm happy we found a place that is close to our home and has a passionate staff that loves animals like there own.

With Covid they don't allow you to go inside with your pet. Someone comes and gets them from your car, they do whatever and the vet comes to your car or calls you. None of their staff had a mask on. When done they call for payment then sit what you pet needs outside in boxes labeled with letters. I feel you should be able to go in with your pet with a mask or without if you can show you were vaccinated.

They have taken great care of my animals. They were good at communicating and explaining things. No hidden fees. My experience here has been great! Would definitely recommend.

The Doctors and staff were amazing. Treated our little Maltipoo who suffered a fall while we were in the are on vacation. We took him over to Pine Meadow to be checked out. The staff handled our four legged family member with such care and they were thorough with the explanation of everything involving our dog even things unrelated to the fall. Great experience and superb service!

I’ve taken my pets here for many years, but not sure if I will continue. Every time I or my wife has called to make an appointment or order meds, it’s a ridiculous wait time to speak to someone. Then, when you get to the office, another extended wait in the parking lot before you can get your animal into the building to be seen. My last visit was over thirty minutes just to pick up medicine that was called in the day before. They seriously need to improve on customer service and efficiency.
