This has got to be the most friendly and accommodating staff I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Not only did they take great care of my two dogs on multiple occasions, they went above and beyond to help us with tricky logistics on the day of my wedding. Their doggy transportation service was right on time when we needed them, which was not during their typical operating hours. Thank you to Animal House for helping us make sure our special day was perfect and our pets were well cared for.

The Animal House staff are great! They have boarded my Bonzai, they have groomed him, and they come pick him up for all that! I have also toured their facility and it is very nice.

Everyone is so friendly and nice here. They take excellent care of my pup and I love being able to see her play with the cameras. Super convenient that they offer pick up and drop off If you're schedule doesn't permit you to pick up. Matt is great and grateful I found them

I have gone above and beyond to try and be supportive of this place by donating, promoting etc only for the management to turn me into collections-Bc she said I owe them almost $200.00 for a two day stay-which is not true and I’m not paying it. I never made a issue of them not returning brand new bags of my dogs food I sent so he could eat…or…them not returning his collar that has his dog tags, and his dog leash for days until I would call everyday asking if they would return his collar an leash to me. Or the fact that he came back sick after his last stay there. One of there employees came into my job and acted so ridiculous I had to ask her to leave and her and her girlfriend tried to fight me in a place of business! No good deed goes unpunished and for this reason I will not donate too or help promote any new business in town by volunteering my own time!

Everything about Animal House seemed great until it was time for my dog to go home. The day of pickup he threw up and had diarrhea. I assumed it was anxiety-related so I didn't worry. The next few days he got worse and worse; vomiting multiple times per day and unable to produce a solid stool. About 5 days after coming home, there was blood in his stool, so we went to the emergency vet. There he tested positive for Giardia. He had his routine wellness exam and fecal test about two weeks prior to staying at Animal House and tested negative for all worms and parasites. In discussing this with the vet, they determined that since Giardia is typically spread in contaminated water(think pool), he likely picked it up while boarded at Animal House. Since symptoms usually start within 5-10 days of infection, the timeline is spot on. On his chart during his stay, it was not noted that he was vomiting during his stay, but an Animal House employee texted me to tell me that he vomited multiple times. This leads me to believe that the information they reporting concerning his stool and diet likely aren't accurate either. Two rounds of medication, $1,200+ in vet bills, and nearly one month later he finally cleared the Giardia but his GI tract will take weeks to fully recover. He has lost 10 pounds and will be on expensive antibiotics for another 4 weeks. Shortly after receiving the positive Giardia test, I contacted Animal House to let them know and to recommend that they look into it. I in no way asked for or expected compensation. I simply wanted to alert them to a potential problem, as it can easily effect other dogs. The employee I spoke to made it a point to mention, multiple times, that there's no way to prove that it came from Animal House. While this is ultimately true, the evidence is pretty damning. I explicitly told the employee that I wasn't seeking compensation, so what was the point of stressing that Animal House won't take responsibility? Had they made it clear that the issue would be seriously looked into, I likely wouldn't have written a review at all. My only concern was the health of the other dogs staying with them. No attempts were made on behalf of Animal House to reach out after I shared the positive test results. Ultimately our experience and this exchange left a bad taste in my mouth. They have beautiful, renovated facilities, but seem far less concerned about animal health and safety. I cannot in good faith not share my experience with Animal House. Had I known prior to booking that I would be fighting a parasite for a month, I never would have taken him here. It's difficult enough finding a reliable and trustworthy place to leave your pet. My experience with Animal House has left me so skeptical of boarding my dog anywhere again.

As most dog owners, I was worried about leaving my dog at new place. The moment I walked in, the staff was friendly, smiling and reassuring. Jack comes home wore out. That tells me he had fun. I was so happy with what I saw, I recommended Animal House to one of Jack’s friends. Now they get to play together. Thank you Animal House for taking good care of my boy! This used to be true. I regretfully have to change my rating.

Everyone that works at Animal House Wilimnigton is very friendly. My dog loves to go to day camp several times a week.

The only place I’ve found with a pool custom designed for dogs and an awesome indoor arena for dogs, the likes I’ve not seen in NC.

We took our pup, Haven, in to be groomed a week ago. We could not be more pleased with how well her grooming turned out! The level of attention she received and the manner in which we were asked what our preferences were was top notch. We will be returning customers for sure!

Our dog Karmen loves animal house. She is a handful and not only does the staff tolerate her craziness they take really good care of her. We have been there since the Wilmington location opened and it is an itergal part of bringing balance to our lives. She gets attention and the energy she needs burned off. Thanks Animal House

Wow. Just wow. I am blown away by this place! They got me in for an appointment in 2 days! No wait! I was able to drop my baby off at 9:45 and he was ready for me to come get him at 12! The staff was all super kind and very responsive and helpful! Thank y’all so so so so much! Klyde can’t wait to come back and his mommy is very happy in knowing she has FINALLY found him an amazing groomer!

WOW! we always board our dog at the jacksonville location but used the wilmington location instead because of a flight out of ilm. we were running so late due to a series of mishaps and the professional I spoke with on the phone stayed late so that we could drop off our dog still. she seriously saved us because if not we would have had to miss our flight. I will never take my dog elsewhere. true kindness and empathy!! I was blown away

There is absolutely no where else in town that gives the loving care to our pets than Animal House! Staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Staff will go out of there way to accommodate your needs. Very clean and smells good every visit, Kennels are clean and daycare is so much fun!!! Grooming is amazing!!! Can't say enough positive things about Animal House.

Animal House has some of the most spacious lodging I have seen! The dogs have the comfort of home and I love that if it is raining, they have a VERY large indoor play area so that our pets are still getting exercise and socialization. I love being able to see our pup playing and the customer service is exceptional.

Animal House is seriously the best! My girl absolutely LOVES going here! All of the staff is kind and I know my girl is in wonderful hands when boarding or even during the day for a play date visit! The office smells SO GOOD and is so clean! I can’t not speak highly enough about Animal House!

After using a couple of other groomers over the years for our 13 year old Cairn Terrier, Allie, I think we've found our favorite go to groomer. Our first visit we received a nice new customer discount, great and thorough service, a nice report card on our pup's progress and a cute little scarf she wore home. Will definitely return in the next few months as it gets warmer outside.

Animal House Wilmington is AMAZING! We have a lot of dogs and they love going to Animal House and getting to play outside! And they LOVE the staff! Not only are their boarding services amazing, they groomers are amazing!

I have had two wonderful grooming experiences for my Golden Doodle, Ziggy. Lisa is an excellent groomer. She really listened to my requests and did a great job grooming him. I have had several really bad experiences with local groomers, some requiring medical treatment. So when I brought home my bundle of fluff and he looked great and stayed healthy, I was really thrilled. Lisa is definitely my go-to groomer.
