Fantastic people. Very nice to both the pets and their owners. You can tell they care about the animals they tend to. Prices are a little on the higher side, but what isn't nowadays? Even with that they're not the most expensive one around.

Dr. Kirk and staff are amazing! I love how they get in the floor and really examine my pup. I am a first time owner of an English Mastiff, so I have a ton of questions and concerns for the breed. Dr. Kirk and staff always make time to educate and reassure that I correctly care for this breed. If you are looking for a vet, this is the place to go. You will feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door.

This was the only place we could find that could see our Beardie. Dr was knowledgeable and kind even though my teenager was super sporadic lol. She gave us lots of great advice and information. Will be returning form future advice.

Didn't seem to know how to handle a big dog. Was not interested in our dog, not were they very thorough in exam. It seemed if I didn't ask questions then they weren't going to elaborate nor divulge any information on our dog. Also did not know his age????

I just wish there were vets around here that really cared… like you see on tv… like it used to be… bets that would not allow money issues to get in the way of a pet’s well being. SAM is nice enough and definitely better than Salisbury animal hospital, but money is definitely more important than our pets in the end.

BE AWARE TO NEVER take your guinea pig there. We spend almost $700 and and our guinea pig ended up dying. Our piggie had a dental problem that could have been easily fixed. She did gave him anasthasia and “trimmed his teeth”. We expected him to recover in less than 7 days, but even after a week he still wasn’t eating. We took our piggie to the vet again and she said he had a different problem that she hadn’t noticed before under the excuse that “we all make mistakes” when she’s supposedly a certified veterinarian. Our baby never recovered after she “fixed” the second problem ???? We took him to the vet about 5 days after the second time they put him under anasthasia, and she said he was definitely improving. He died two days after that. I’m pretty sure she never solved the problem my piggie had and/or didn’t even know what she was doing. She never weighed our piggie and was rough with him when they gave him a physical examination. We did everything she told us, gave him his antibiotics, painkillers and critical care every day, yet he still ended up passing away. I cannot express my disappointment with this vet, and I deeply regret having taken my guinea pig there, since this was a dental issue that any other vet could have probably fixed.

Dr. Kirk was able to work my rabbit Sir Bubba into her schedule in order to see him the same day when my Vet due to unforeseen circumstances was closed. Dr Kirk and staff were very professional and kind providing exceptional service and Sir Bubba is doing fine!

Very professional, and extremely polite! Our dog has speration anxiety, and we had her stay with them for two days while we were away. They did a great job tending to her. They explained all of her accidents, interactions, and play time for us (we paid for extra care/play time for her). They were also more than happy to answer any questions we had. Also their boarding is VERY fairly priced. Overall she seemed very comfortable with them, which doesn't happen often with her.

We love Dr. Kirk and the staff of the Small Animal Clinic. Staff members are so attentive with our animals and have always been professional and thorough when we have had procedures or testing done for our girls.

Best vet in the area. She has helped us with all of our cats and our pet rabbit. The ladies there are compassionate and kind and understanding. Overall the best place to take your furry friends.

Very happy with them so far. We are about to board our puppy with them for the first time. I will update the review after we get back. We are very nervous about leaving him but we have no options. Praying that Oliver will not have any issues and will be happy there for a week.

I would not recommend this vet to anyone who wants to keep their pet alive. I took my bird conure Stewie in from a puncture wound and was blown away by the surgery and what she said that he would live and that he was in really good shape she assured me he was going to be fine and less than 12 hours he died I called back up to the vet all she wanted to do is blame it on everything else the least they could do is compensate for all the money that they took from me and he didn't even live when she told me that he was going to live the least they could do is compensate for half of the money we paid called back up there to speak to them and they just did not care me personally it's all about money and then you're told he would live but less than 12 hours he's gone they showed know remorse. Cold hearted people.

I have been looking for a Veterinarian like I had before I moved to NC. I have finally found a wonderful Veterinarian with a great staff, that apparently love their jobs! You are greeted with warm friendly smiles from beginning to end! I will definitely be referring my friends and family! I have never experienced a veterinarian getting down on the floor to make my dog feel comfortable but this is exactly what she did and her assistant did as well!! They were so patient with my hyper pug puppy and gave great advice. You will not be disappointed taking your pet to this facility! Oh and she is the only doctor in the building so you will always see the same one!!!!

I called Wednesday to make an appointment for Friday because of the Covid ordeal. I had not heard back Thursday after 4ish so I called back. The lady on the phone told me that she didn't receive my message that I left at 5.07 Wednesday afternoon, But I could come in on Friday at 4.30 for an extra charge of 120.00 for an emergency fee and they would fit me in. I dont have an emergency because if it were I would not have waited. The Vet had seen Jack in the past and knew his history. But I will just go somewhere else.

WORST FERRET VET EVER!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR FERRETS HERE. THEY HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE. GO TO ANOTHER EXOTIC VET!! THERE IS ONE IN KANNAPOLIS NOT FAR AWAY! You could have not charged me hundreds of dollars to do absolutely nothing for my pets (: That's what you could have done. Try again please. Yes, my ferret had abnormal levels, I already KNEW this before I even brought him to you. I knew he was sick, I don't need to spend $400 to find that out from you. No one gave me anything even remotely close to any kind of diagnosis, after MULTIPLE tests that put my ferret through unneeded stress. You guys simply said, after I paid almost $600, "Well! He's sick alright!" I had absolutely no reason to believe that scheduling another appointment with your office would get me anywhere closer to finding out what was wrong. I didn't schedule an ultrasound because I wasn't going to WASTE any more money for literally no progress.

Covid medigations: call the facility once you've arrived BY APPOINTMENT, then someone will come out to your car and have you fill out paperwork from there. Once completed, they will come back out and escort you inside once the rooms have been sanitized. Very friendly and welcoming. They allow cats and small dogs, as well as hamsters and small animals similar in that category.
